7 On a bed with a different man!

"I am tired, Xiana. You should also take a rest. We need to leave early in the morning," Licheng stated and sat on the bed. He put his legs on the mattress and then laid down before covering himself from the quilt.

Licheng found she was still there. She had her eyes on him as if she would bore them and look inside his mind to find what he was thinking.

"Do you want to watch me sleep?" Licheng asked her.

"No. I want you to answer me," Xiana said and took a step forward.

Licheng closed his eyes and ignored her presence. She was a tough woman to handle. His single gaze was enough to even move the leaf out of his sight, but Xiana was different.

"You can come and sleep with me if you want to stare at me closely," Licheng affirmed and pried his eyes open. To his surprise, she was already on the bed.

"Now, tell me," Xiana said.

"You have not slept on the mattress. Ahh, don't sleep in that dress if you want the answer," Licheng said when he found she had laid down. She was indeed way ahead of his thinking. He thought she would think twice before sleeping on the same bed as him, but he was wrong.

Xiana sat up and sighed. "You put forward so many conditions," she mumbled when the door opened.

"Your Highness, Princess Xiana is not in her room," Shen Daoren said and stopped blinking when he saw both of them on the bed.

"She wants to sleep with me," Licheng said with a smirk.

Xiana immediately got down from the bed. "It is not what you are thinking, Shen Daoren. He is lying," Xiana said and glared at him. "I was here for some answers and he is not willing to tell me."

"You sat on the bed even before I asked you to. Then, you slept on the bed to find the answers. Didn't you?" Licheng asked her.

Xiana left the room as she didn't want to listen to Licheng. When she left, Licheng looked at Shen Daoren. "You made a mistake. Keep a guard outside her room for the entire night," Licheng ordered him.

"Yes, Your Highness," Shen Daoren said and walked out of the room. He closed the door while Licheng closed his eyes again. However, after a few minutes, he again heard the door open.

"You are so desperate to sleep with me. How could you?" Licheng opened his eyes and saw she had wrapped the quilt around her. The quilt cover was white and there was no appearance of red. She closed the door and sat on the bed before lying down.

"Tell me. What do you want from me?" Xiana again asked him.

"You forgot to remove the red lip color from your lips," Licheng said.

Xiana took out her hand from the quilt and wiped her lips. "See, I removed it," she asserted.

"It is still there," Licheng said.

"Where?" Xiana asked.

Licheng brought his thumb to her lips and wiped it off. "You are not afraid to sleep with a man," he murmured.

"I know I am not the type of woman you like," Xiana replied. He pulled his hand back.

"What type do I have then, Princess?" Licheng was curious to know.

"Someone who will obey you instantly," Xiana replied.

Licheng chuckled and moved a little closer to her. Xiana didn't move away from her place. She knew he wanted to scare her away so that she would run away from him. But he was wrong.

When their faces came close, she gulped because she didn't know what was on his mind. However, if she would leave, then he might take a long time to tell her the answers to her questions.

"Tonight was supposed to be your wedding night with your lover. I forgot his name," Licheng said while giving an indifferent attitude. "And here you are! On a bed with a different man," he stated with a smile.

Xiana's facial expressions changed. She was furious as he pressed that pulse that would give her pain anytime.

When Licheng found out she wasn't blinking anymore, he said, "Xiana, you are sleepy. So, close your eyes and sleep."

Xiana did what he said and she drifted off to sleep.

Again the door opened. "Forgive me, Your Highness, but—" Shen Daoren stopped as he saw Xiana on the bed.

"You can leave. Xiana has fallen asleep," Licheng said. With a simple nod, Shen Daoren left the room, closing the door behind him.

Licheng moved back to his place and closed his eyes. Soon, he drifted off to sleep.

Xiana moved the hair from her face, which was disturbing her sleep, and turned to her left, spreading her hand out.

"Wake up, Xiana!" Licheng's voice fell into her ears.

"Let me sleep," Xiana mumbled, and wondered why she heard his voice. Did he already start to haunt her even in her sleep?

Licheng poured the water over her face, and she pried her eyes open while screaming. He chuckled and put the porcelain bowl on the table.

"Are you crazy?" Xiana sat up on the bed and wiped the water from her face. She saw that annoying smile on his lips and looked at the bowl. She threw it at him, but he dodged it. The bowl smashed into the wall behind him.

"You missed the target, Xiana. I hope you had a good night's sleep with me," Licheng said, and he kept smiling at her.

Xiana frowned and looked around. Why did she sleep on the same bed with him? The last she remembered was his face was quite close to her. She could not get the chance to ask him about it as Licheng didn't let her speak.

"The dress is over there," Licheng pointed toward the table. "You have twenty minutes to freshen up. The washroom is over there," he said while pointing his finger to his right and he walked out of the room.
