1 Too Lazy to do it, but no choice

'I'm tired… I don't want to get up…. I want to just lay in my bed all day such thoughts are in my head every morning

I never really felt like getting up... but I have to

I looked over at the clock on the wall, it was already 10:43 am not that I'd care, but I'm late for the meeting

The sun shining through the window was soft and warm on my skin and the chirping of the birds outside was like a beautiful melody that put me back to sleep

But I couldn't sleep knowing full well what will happen if I don't get up

"Sigh... Dad will surely scold me again," I said loudly, annoyed by what awaited me but... I have to say it's my fault too

Even though I know I should get up I still didn't have the strength to "maybe I should go back to sleep" That was an idea but certainly not a good one nonetheless tempting

*Knock Knock*

Just as I was about to realize my terrible idea, someone knocked on the door

when I heard the knock I wished for that person to leave me alone I didn't answer but... it was just an empty wish

The person behind the door started talking "My prince you should get up" It was a feminine voice it must be one of the maids I thought

I just tried to ignore her but I couldn't ignore what she said next

"My prince your father wishes to speak to you"

I stood up with all my might and willpower to get up from my warm and cosy bed and told her in a lazy and rather bored voice "Give me 10 minutes and I'll be right there"

"Understood," she replied, then walked away

I grabbed an outfit from my closet, one that is sufficient for a meeting with the king

But I couldn't find any

It looks like all my "appropriate" clothes are in the wash

I've been letting it slide lately tidying up the laundry so I just let it all accumulate and wash it all at once

"Ahh... I guess I have to go with this then" I was still tired but what has to be done, has to be done

I put on a black hoodie with dark grey jogging bottoms and sneakers painted red white and a little bit of black and finally, I put on my glasses they had black frames and gold detailing on the lenses. I can see a little without it, but my vision is still bad, I can only see up to 3 meters

I checked myself in the mirror before walking away and all I saw was myself

I had pale white skin that probably hadn't been hit by sunlight in months and jet black hair that didn't even reflect light, my face wasn't attractive or anything but not ugly either you would say a little better than normal but if I had to say what was attractive about me then it would be my eyes

they would be like two purple sparkling jewels shining in the moonlight... just stunning

my body itself was very slim I never really felt like working out

While I was looking at myself in the mirror, only one thought ran through my head 'I'm going to get shouted at if I go like this to the king'

But I couldn't help it, it didn't matter anyway, I'm already the black sheep of the royal family so I can come across as a little disrespectful now and then... what else did they expect from someone like me

'I don't care if they laugh at me let them laugh if they want I thought while trying to stay awake

I opened the door and made my way to my father

I walked very slowly, I just got up and I'm late anyway, so I can take my time... right?

On my way to my father's, I looked around a little, the whole castle was painted in colours that seemed rather "cold" and it looked a little desolate

The windows of the castle were huge and let a little "warmth" into this castle

Everything was decorated so expensively that I somehow even found it too much

I have now arrived at my father's office the king of Necrom

Necrom is a great kingdom in the continent of humans the continent is called winter because of the seasons

There are also four other continents each ruled by a race

Winter belongs to humans

Autumn belongs to orcs

Spring belongs to dwarves

Summer belongs to elves

And the only continent that is not affected by the 4 seasons

Alcrad the continent of demons

In every continent, there is one thing that we have the most or do best and that is this

winter = ore

autumn = armies

spring = science

summer = food

Alucard = knowledge

There was nothing else to know except that we are currently living in harmony, which is certainly a good thing because if not, we humans would be screwed, we only have stupid ores, although they are also valuable for the dwarven the most

I opened the door to my father's office and a chill hit me straight from the other end of the room I knew immediately I was screwed

I felt stiff all over and suddenly felt uncomfortable my father looked at me with a stoic face which only made me more nervous

He looked quite old he was already 56 years old and had grey hair his hair was naturally grey and not because of age he also had a beard all over his face and a few wrinkles But that all made him look even more mature

His name was Farol Akeda Theseus the king of Necrom

Each of the royal family has a different middle name that shows they come from a different mother

Mine is Luciel Arctic Theseus that should mean that my mother has Arctic as a surname…. but unfortunately, I never met her for some reason

I tried to smile and said "Ah... good morning Father how was-"

But before I could finish my sentence, he interjected "Luciel, do you know why you're here?" It was a question, but it sounded like a judgement

I opened my mouth to answer him but he didn't let me "You're here because you're too irresponsible... sigh you're lazy bored and not only skip your classes but also skip meetings you're the second prince in line to the throne Act accordingly " he meanwhile looked at me with a bitter look during his scolding

I didn't care that he was scolding me but I also felt a little bit of bitterness

He was right I'm second in line to the throne but I didn't want to inherit the throne I'm happy with where I am now but it looks like my father doesn't like it

I'm aware that I'm irresponsible but I'm only the second and even the third and fourth are better than me

'If I were in his position I would have killed myself' Such thoughts ran through my mind as my father pierced me with his eyes

He looked at me even more closely

"Sigh… Luciel why aren't you wearing a proper suit or something more formal" he seemed about to give up as he said this

"I didn't have any left," I told him, looking away from him already expecting that question

"Exactly that I mean you are just too irresponsible but I already have countermeasures for that" his stoic and disappointed expression turned into a little smile full of hope

And my expression turned into one of confusion and anxiety whatever he was up to I sure don't want to do it

"So Luciel you will conquer a dungeon with a troop that I will provide you with" While my father said these words, his smile grew bigger and bigger

I had a speechless expression on my face "Pardon?" I asked because I wasn't sure if I understood him correctly I thought he had just given me responsibility for the lives of others hahaha…. It was a joke, right?

"You got me already," he said

I still couldn't believe it and everyone says to me I'm irresponsible what about him "but dad why me I don't think that would be a good decision"

He got up from his chair and walked closer and closer until he was standing in front of me. "It's about time you learned that you are in no position to be lazy," he said while placing his hand on my shoulder

I was still unsure if I could do it but I don't seem to have a choice so I had to give in

"sigh... ok who's coming and when are we going?" that was the most important thing to know when we were going I still have to prepare because I'd never been in a dungeon before so I need to know as much as possible

'that's going to be a lot of work uh' I had an annoyed expression watching with a little tiredness

My father answered my question but I didn't like this answer "You're leaving in a week I'll pick everyone who will come with you this week" he looked at me with hope and that kind of hurt me

he sat back down in his chair "You can go now I'm busy" he said gesturing with his hand for me to go

which I fortunately did

When I went out and wanted to go back to my room, another surprise came

"Luciel you were just with Father right"

It was the pride of the royal family Solz Arich Theseus my elder brother although he is my brother we don't get along he is also the first in line to the throne and rightly so he is a genius at pretty much everything

"Yes I'm on my way back to my room" I just wanted to leave as soon as possible

"Hm... you are and will always be lazy, aren't you... s l a v e" he had a dark smile of superiority on his face as he said this

I usually ignore him but I've been irritated about this dungeon raid since before and what he just said made me even angrier

"So I heard you've been hanging around the red light district lately" I smiled at him with a sinister grin that went from ear to ear but my eyes were wide and staring at him as if he were prey "You should watch out for a lot of because prostitutes are supposed to have venereal diseases" after I said the following words quietly I went back to my room and left my older brother alone

I didn't think it necessary to look back
