Ethan gives a different feeling

Walking out of the cafe, Evelyn walked straight to a building, It was an orphanage home

The building was not huge but it was spacious, Children toys could be seen neatly arranged on one side

She knocked on the door and a young lady who looked just her age opened the door

The young lady had winter blue eyes and blonde hair, She was relatively tall

"How can I help you miss?" The young lady said

"Sorry, I'm here to see Director Liang Sun, I'm Evelyn Cole" Evelyn explained

The young lady nodded in underatanding. "ok, but Director Sun retired long ago, he now assists in the graveyard." She answered with a smile that showcased her adorable dimples. "I'm Liang Jiayi, Director Sun's Daughter"

Evelyn was stunned, He has retired!? why?

"Please come in," Liang Jiayi gestured

They settled in a seat and Liang Jianyi inquired "What would you like to drink Miss Evelyn ?"

Evelyn Shook her head, She scratched her head and asked "For how long had he retired?"

"About 5 years now Miss" Jiayi answered.

Thats long!

Amid their conversation, Footstep was heard

As both ladies looked up they saw an old man with grey hair, he slowly made his way up to them with a gentle smile

"Kid! Is it you?!" The old man exclaimed, his raspy voice filled with disbelief.

"Dad you're back!" Liang Jiayi exclaimed, pulling a chair over, "Come and sit here. This young lady is here to see you"

Liang Sun settled down in the chair and his daughter left, he glanced at Evelyn and said

"You've gotten so much taller and even more beautiful, but you should eat more, See how skinny you are," His voice tinged with a chiding tone

Evelyn, Feeling a mix of embarrassment and gratitude, Smiled and replied "Thank youuu" in a playful tone.

Liang Sun chuckled, The atmosphere was harmonious

Sensing the shift in the atmosphere, Evelyn revealed

"Actually I'm here in search of any information about my biological parents.

The room fell into a momentary silence, Liang Sun's gaze fixed upon her, a mix of emotions evident in his eyes.

"Why?" Liang Sun instinctively responded, he stared intently at her trying to make out the reason

Without waiting for her to speak he added,

"Kid, your life is better this way, You want to find your biological parent yeah? Then what if they don't want you to find them? What if finding then exposes you to more dangers?" Liang Sun questioned,

he stood up from his seat and walked to a nearby shelf, opening a cabinet and retrieving a large folder. With a gentle sweep, he dusted it and brought it to the seat.

Flipping through the pages, Liang Sun stopped at a particular one with an image

"Kid, come here" he gestured for Evelyn to come closer and she scooted over. " See this," Liang Sun pointed to the photo, "This was taken on one of your birthdays, the same day you were adopted by the gentleman, Ethan Cole. When I brought you to the orphanage on June 8 I had no information about who you were, so I decided to make your birthday the same day I found you" Liang Sun revealed

The sudden Revelation left Evelyn with a mix of emotions, She stretched out her hands and asked

"Can I see the photo?"

Liang Sun had no objections and handed her the photo.

In the Image, There were four people, young Evelyn with purple amethyst hair stood in the middle, To her left stood an energetic-looking Liang Sun his hands clasped together with a woman, His wife, whose presence exuded warmth. And to young Evelyn's right stood Ethan Cole with gold-rimmed glasses, he wore a gentle smile on his face.

As Evelyn looked at the photo she couldn't help but notice that this Ethan Cole gave a different feeling than she was used to

Something about him, A sensation that she can't seem to decipher

Unable to resist, Evelyn asked

"Can I take it with me?"

Liang Sun nodded in agreement, Evelyn stood up to bid him goodbye

"How long are you staying this time?" Liang Sun asked

"I should be going back tomorrow" Evelyn answered, Initially she wanted to stay for a week but she had a change of plans.

"Alright let's meet before you leave tomorrow" Liang Sun suggest

Evelyn nodded in agreement and left

As she walked out of the building, Her phone buzzed with an incoming call from Amelia. The moment she picked up, Amelia's voice exploded with anger

"Damnn you Evelyn!!" She yelled

Evelyn couldn't resist a mischievous smile as she feigned innocence

"Girls shouldn't curse, you know"

Amelia's anger intensified as she heard that,

"Get lost" she hissed in annoyance,

"According to him, We're leaving the town tomorrow early in the morning, Thanks to both of you I didn't do anything I planned, " Amelia said in frustration

"Next time, Ensure the completion of your work, Miss Chi"

A deliberately low voice resonated with authority

Evelyn heard the voice in the background, She held back a giggle only to see the abrupt end of the call.

Over at the cafe.

Amelia snorted and rolled her eyes in response to his remark

Her boss, Zetian, stood up and grabbed his coat "Let go" he said then he walked out of the cafe

Amelia Quickly followed behind

"Where are we going?" She asked only to be met with silence

Frustrated, Amelia puffed up her cheeks, stomped her feet and decided to walk ahead on her own.

Zetian glanced at her, A fleeting smile flashed across his face as he gestured "It this way"

Amelia's face flushed with embarrassment but with a huff, she crossed her arms and defiantly replied " I know that"

Zetian innocently shrugged and walked away. A surge of frustration rushed into her as she reluctantly followed
