46 The unknown person

After thinking for a while, the image of Lilith appeared in his head together with her warm smile.

'I wonder what Mother is doing now? I guess she must be with that man again, if she keeps going to his place it could become difficult to handle her situation. At this point would she be at peace if I killed that man?'

Ainz couldn't help but think that, while it was without a doubt he hated Andrew his father the same couldn't be said for his mother Lilith, she might resent him for abandoning her and their son, but he was sure she didn't hate him as much as he did, otherwise, she wouldn't be hiding all what he was doing to her from him, as he thought to this point his expression became more complex.

The frown on his face became more apparent, as he thought about what to do, eventually, he decided to put it at the back of his mind, for now, his goal was to focus on quickly improving and becoming stronger, and when he was strong enough would decide what to do.

With his eyes opened, and his goal determined, resolution poured out of his eyes and expression, at this point, he was too weak to think about helping his mother, since even himself needed help.

After he was sure wyvern regeneration had healed most of his bruises, he finally stood up and carried his weapon back to his room. After he got home, he ate a big meal to restore his energy and then studied the eight gates of asura manual till after dinner, before taking out the magical rune to study.

The following morning, he woke up and began to cultivate the wyvern king cultivation technique. At this point his body felt much better, even the bruises on his body were left with only light scars, which was done intentionally, in case he was being watched.

Just like before he stuck with his schedule with even more passion.

He could feel he was slowly but steadily progressing and becoming stronger every day, not only was his sea of consciousness showing steady improvement, but even his martial art was showing more improvement than the rest of his training, as if to prove his thoughts were correct while he was training the system, suddenly sent him a notification message that the spear art had leveled up.

Just like the system stated when he checked the system panel, he saw that in his skill, technique, and bloodline, the spear art now had become intermediate rank, when he first saw it he couldn't help but be a little bit surprised all these while he was using the technique he hadn't expected the system to rate his progress.

This made him realize that the system was watching his every progress, and if his proficiency in a technique reached a certain threshold, it would rank it according to the progress of the technique, at the same time, another thing he realized was that there were exceptions and not everything technique and skills, he had would be ranked.

The following week he decided to arrive much earlier than his master, this time he decided to check if Bruce had arrived. When he did he was actually surprised to see Bruce was already there, however, he wasn't by himself and seemed like he was talking with someone.

When Ainz saw this, he stuck to the wall and listened to the conversation Bruce was having with the person, the following words made him even more interested in what they were trying to say. That time Bruce was silent, and had to wait as the other person talked.

"And here I thought that he had learned something."

At this point, the other person stopped talking, and shortly after he could hear footsteps from the wall beside Bruce, after the person left, Ainz frowned he seemed like the person was masking his voice, since he couldn't recognize the person, but he was sure the person must be a high ranking person from kalamas family.

However, he knew no one in the Kalamas family really liked him, so he couldn't help but wonder who the person was, after a while of thinking two people came to his mind, the first was the patriarch but he quickly canceled it.

Although the patriarch had promised to watch after him thanks to Lilith showing him off as a baby, he bet if the patriarch would really do such, and if it was him he couldn't understand why he didn't just take him as a disciple rather than making him cultivator considering how he had shown high intellect as a young child.

The second person that came to his mind was his father Andrew. This was the only person he knew would do such a thing, because it explained why Liltih had been coming back home with new calluses every day, especially when he recalled this began to happen after he showed interest in mana.

'Either way, I still need to work harder and quickly become stronger. My only course of action should be more training and exploring the system. I should also pretend I just came to avoid any suspicion.'

Although he was sure no one saw him, he didn't know how long he would be able to hide his presence before he would be discovered, eventually, he had to wait for a while, before walking out, when he entered the room, Bruce stared at him, Ainz could not tell if his master or the person had caught him or not, but he simply said nothing and acted normal.

"Today, we will begin with defense and attack, and I will point out every mistake before hitting you with this."
