The Seventh Resonance

What is the meaning of life? What does the universe need from each and every one of us? This is a question every human asks themselves in the year 2112. In the year 2112, the earth was visited by an alien race, the Divine Conquerors of the Galaxy, the Kr'roga. They had one mission, to engulf every resource including the spirit of the earth, Gaia, and leave once again to continue their mission of galaxy wide dominion. It had been 50 years since Earth's forces had stopped fighting back. Humanity was reduced from 10 billion people to a few million slaves. But the fight was not over. With the contact humans had made with the alien visitors, and Gaia, humans were introduced to a concept called Cultivation. Leonidas, who was now a 163 year old protector of Gaia and the last Arch Sorcerer, was on a mission to destroy an alien settlement when a Kr'roga battalion had him surrounded. It was a trap. With his dying breath he vowed "If I had another shot at life I swear I'll make these alien bastards pay." "Thank you, human for fighting so hard for the sake of the planet"... "I can only send you back in exchange for my own divine spark"... "Teach them all I taught you. Protect them for my sake. And live for yours." "~~what's happening? Why are my hands so small? This book... The date?! 2012?! I went back 150 years?!" ××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××××× This is my first story. Don't be shy, leave a comment hehe

Watch Yourself

The Soul Library was a spiritual conceptualization inside a cultivators soul space. It allowed the cultivator to store memories or ideas inside their soul as date encapsulated by spiritual energy.

The Soul Library was useful in a variety of circumstances. For example, if a sorcerer wanted to remember a whole book, they would just read it once and encapsulate all the information as data in their Soul Library. Whenever they would need the information, it could be perfectly recalled in full.

The amount of information the Soul Library could contain was dependent on the strength of cultivation that the sorcerer has. The stronger the sorcerer, the more "space" his library would have. Of course, sorcerers used their Soul Libraries to store array formations which was useful for instant casting sorcery spells.

Leonidas wanted his Soul Library to be the best it possibly could be. He remembered that there were two ways of creating Soul Libraries. The first was to conceptualise the library as a thought form and create it through imagination. The second was to "encode" it, from how it would look, all the way to how it would function, as an array.

In the past, Leonidas had created his by imagination, and for all intents and purposes it worked perfectly. Actually, no one had created their by encoding as that would require a deep knowledge of Rules that none of the sorcerers could have had at that time. But now that Leonidas had lived through trillions of years of soul tempering, which tempered not only his soul but his being as well, he felt that he could do it.

But this process would take a long time to accomplish and he still had one more lesson that day so he decided he would tackle it when he got home.

The school bell rang symbolizing the time for children to return to class. Leonidas stood up, cleaned himself off, took his bag and began walking towards his next class.

The German International School of Johannesburg (Deutsche Internationalle Schule Jonnesburg) was spread over a large area and it had huge recreational facilities and sports facilities as expected of one of the best schools in Gauteng, South Africa. Between the bustling stairways and hallways, it took Leonidas a few minutes to get to his next class which was German First Additional Language.

As he entered the class, Leonidas was aware of the gazes of his classmates, but he didn't care. To him they were all kids anyway. He walked to the back of the class and took a seat and waited for the class to begin.

"Alright eweryone take a seat I have an announcement to make", the teacher, Mrs Loewenstein. She was a tall boorish woman who had a thick German accent. Despite how she looked and her loud booming voice, she had a kind and gentle demeanor which drew a stark contrast with her physicality.

"Ve vill be having a klass test in a month, so everyone must make schure to study wery wery hard owkay?", she looked at everyone questioningly and continued. "Also, I want ewerybody to write a short 15 sekunden speech about who they are and vhat they like. Its due next veek Monday."

Murmuring could be heard all around. The class 8e was composed of new students that had just entered the school 3 months ago. Of course the class felt that this was a daunting task.

The teacher looked towards the back and after some thinking said, "I know you are new and have only been studying Deutsch for 2 veeks but please try your best."

All the students looked in the direction the teacher was looking in and realized who was being addressed. A coffee color skinned teenager was indifferently looking back at the teacher with his deep black eyes. He nodded at the teacher and continued writing notes in his new book.

A few tables away, a handsome boy with dark flowing hair and blue eyes named Julian looked at his new classmate with an annoyed expression. "Look at him. So arrogant."

"He's definitely getting on my nerves. We should teach him to always be respectful to those above him. What do you think Julian?" said another boy on the same table with a vicious sneer on his face. His name was Mark. An average looking guy at best but his athletic ability and fighting skills had earned him a place in the boys group.

"Heh, rough him up a bit tomorrow before class. We'll see if he still acts arrogant in the future" said Julian with a disgusting smile on his face. He could already see Leonidas' handsome face being bruised and disfigured. That made him very happy. Noone was allowed to be above him. He was meant to be the King wherever he went. Him... Julian.

Leonidas on the other hand was currently in his soul space calculating the perfect array to build his Soul Library with, unaware of the schemes his classmates were plotting. Ever since he figured out a way to split his awareness between reality and his soul space, he would do it and continue studying the profundities stored in the Soul Spark. He estimated it would take him more than 500 years to go through all of them but he figured it would be worth it as everytime he studied the soul spark his understanding of Rules went to an even deeper level.

Every lesson would be him splitting his awareness such that his body would take notes while he would be studying or creating new arrays in his soul space. Like this the rest of the day went and the final bell rang signalling the end of the school day.

Leonidas packed his bags and stepped out only to see the familiar sight of students flooding the corridors moving towards the exit. At the front there stood numerous blue busses which would carry the students along designated routes and take them as close to their homes as possible.

As Leonidas walked towards his own bus, he was bumped into violently by someone and he staggered forward but managed to regain his balance in time. He looked back and realized it was one of his classmates, the boy named Mark. Mark, who was taller than Leonidas and stood at 1.6 meters looked down at him with visible disdain in his eyes and said "Watch where you're going, retard." Mark's lackeys started laughing as they passed by Leonidas on their way to their own transportation.

Leonidas couldn't help but smile, amused by this behaviour. In his previous school life Mark was known as 'the Mad Dog Mark' who never lost a fight. Leonidas, whose body was quite slender and who had a height of 1.45 meters, was sure that he could thoroughly beat Mark up if he ever tried anything. Leonidas had fought millions of fights with people who were millions of times stronger. Leonidas never chased a fight but if the fight came to him he was sure he would never lose. If he lost to some dumb brat, his name would not be Leonidas. Leonidas boarded one of these busses, sat in a seat and whipped out a book as he did everyday.

While everyone around him thought he was reading, Leonidas was working hard creating and testing arrays. He had figured out that the array he wanted to create was a tier 4 array. The reason being, he wanted to embed the library with automatic sorting, searching, encryption, and encapsulation algorithms, but that would not only consume a lot of spiritual power to create but also to maintain.

Leonidas had to break through to the Noble Realm first before he attempted to build the Soul Library. But he knew that once he built it, it wouldn't be a library anymore but more like a Soul Database. He couldn't help but be more excited at this thought.

After calming himself down he continued studying the soul spark until the bus reached his stop. He immideately got off and walked down the road until he reached his house. The two storey house was located in a Cul-de-Sac in a suburban area. The white outer walls were painted in black with silver stripes running along the periphery. Large tinted windows and a balcony could be seen on the second floor. The house was definitely the most beautiful in this street.

Leonidas entered the gate and used his key to enter the house. He immediately spotted a note on the fridge in the open concept kitchen. "Food is in the fridge, I'm working late. Don't wait up for me. Kisses."

"Great. This is perfect for me"

He immideately put his bag down and went up to his room. He locked the door, laid down a yoga mat and started cultivating. Immediately, runes lit up the area around him in a circular plane until a circle was formed. Then, strings of spirutal energy rapidly descended and entered his head and he voraciously devoured everything the universe had to offer.

Every second he could feel himself getting stronger and stronger. Because of his resonance, there was no need for purification so his cultivation sky rocketed.

After a few hours it was 21:00 and a sound could be heard coming from Leonidas' room. An oscillation signifying an impending breakthrough to a higher realm.

"Vvwoom~ Vvwoom~ Vvwoom~"

Leonidas steadily continued to devour the pure spiritual energy descending onto him. In his soul, his soul space was filled to the brim with transparent spiritual energy. Then suddenly.

The previous shell of the soul space dissipated into myriads of runic symbols. Then those runic symbols shot out into the distance. The strings of spitirual energy also started forming runic symbols which joined with the already existing runic symbols. Over time a wall of runic symbols started building itself until a soul space was formed. The soul space was now expanded to 10 times it's previous radius.

But that wasn't the end of it.

"vwoosh~"

A baptism, which he had felt in his previous breakthroughs, washed over him. But this time it almost overwhelemed him. Resplendent white lights seem to come out of every pore of Leonidas' body as pure lifeforce descended onto him. These lights seem to condense in his body and settle somewhere in his navel.

After some time, Leonidas opened his eyes to check the situation. His flesh felt younger, fresher, and looked more radiant. Even Leonidas couldn't believe it. It took him 2 weeks to go from a Normal human to the Noble Realm. That was practically unimaginable by previous standards.

He checked the situation in his soul and he was astonished. His soul was bigger and brighter than before. He manipulated a unit of energy and noticed that his unit was equivalent to 10 units of a normal person's spiritual energy. The purity of spiritual energy was even more terrifying he previously imagined. The amount of power condensed inside would only become more exaggerated at every Major realm that he climbed.

"Okay... let's keep going"

He switched his awareness to his soul sea, which was now radiant after the baptism. He controlled some energy and started writing runes. One by one runes Condensed in the air. Then he used his spiritual energy and connected those runes together. A few runes connected together to form circles. Then those circles were connected together to form planes. Then those circular planes were connected together to form spheres.

Now, in front of him floated 6 array spheres, all meant to control different functions of the database, which when connected together would create a 4 dimensional sphere of interconnected runes. A tier 4 array. He started slowly.

2 spheres merged together and as they merged he controlled his spiritual energy units to connect them at certain points of contact. The sphere could be seen going into itself such that what was outside was now inside. Then it revolved again and was back to it's former outward appearance. But it could be seen that some dimensionality was added as the array's shadow would move as if it was 3 dimensional.

Leonidas continued to integrate the spheres while connecting them to each 'surface'. After adding all six, the array shone with bright beaming lights as it was almost complete.

This was when he shaped the array and change its color to green. After the lights receded, what was left was a floating gem the size of 10 cubic meters. This was his soul database and he could tell it was incredibly powerful, almost as powerful as a computer.

Not only could it store data, but it could also do computations and calculations. Because he created it with an array, he could evolve it one day. With this he could be the most intelligent man in the world.

"Pfft hahaha... Ahahhahaaha-" but before he could continue bathing in his success, his stomach started gurgling uncontrollably.

"brrrRRRR"

"..."

"Let's just go get something to eat" he said as he stood up and flexed his muscles. He went downstairs to warm up his food while thinking about the future"

'okay, so I've managed to cultivate until I reached Noble Realm. And I have the soul database. But If I want to defend the planet, I can't do it alone. I need people to stand by me. I also need money, power and influence.'

'I can start with money... It's probably the easiest thing to multiply.'

'As long as I have money people will naturally follow. And as long as I have influential people under me, then I will have Power'

Leonidas paused to consider something.

'But I need to be low key. As low key as possible. I won't be exposing the existence of spiritual energy until I confirm that I can go against most High powered machinery like Missiles and nuclear bombs.'

'And even after i do expose Spiritual Energy to the world. I'll still be milking them for all that they've got hehehe'

The world had no idea that at that moment a seemingly thirteen year old boy who was currently eating left over Mac and Cheese was hatching plans for World Domination.
