1 The new student

CHAPTER ONE

THE NEW STUDENT

Lucas walk into the classroom taking the students attention from the ongoing teaching, miss Elizabeth smile at him at his sight.

"oh! the new student is here class. his name is Lucas Matthew from Midwest international School. he got transferred here due to his parents relocation. so Lucas, go and sit at the empty chair over there."

Lucas walk towards the chair and was surprised at an instant of how Vivian switch to his said chair telling him to sit beside her while beaming at him. he sat down without smiling back placing his headphone on his desk.

Vivian look so embarrassed but kept on smiling.almost all the girls in the class kept looking back at Lucas just because of his handsomeness.

"will you concentrate right now or I leave the class for you. Elizabeth yell at them but some didn't listen to her. she continues her lecturer for a while and left the class reminding Tina about the class presentation to be presented for next class."

Tina grab her bag to leave the class but was held back by the new student Tina looked back at him surprisingly and he winked at her.

"Excuse you! why holding my bag? she asked grabbing it from him. Vivian and her 3 friends look at them surprisingly wondering what is going on. Vivian speak up before Lucas could, why standing at his front pushing Tina aside".

"I think you shouldn't bother okay! he probably made a mistake he didn't mean to drag off your bag huh! she said looking at Lucas who stood up and left them there."

"oh Lucas!". Vivian calls after him following him with her friends.

"what will I call what just happened. like, what on Earth is going on." Tina asked her friends who gives her signal of knowing the type of girl Vivian and co are.

"I'm not surprised Tina. it's something you know her too well with. she always like being at the top front when it comes to handsome student." Benita said laughing why trying to remove her skirt from the chair that hooked it.

"don't you remember how she did doing Marcus Johnson time who I possibly know will be outdated now". Tope said looking at Tina who is heading outside.

"I just need time to make preparation for tomorrow presentation because with the way I'm seeing it with this sassy girls (referring to Vivian and her friends) I just hope we don't fail. I simply don't know why miss Elizabeth would pair me with them gosh!

they went to the cafeteria and everywhere were filled up with just one place left to sit. Tope order Tina to go sit there why she and Benita had to manage with others.

Tina went to order her food and started eating with so much haste until she got choked and couldn't breathe.

"what is wrong with you Tina?! why will you be rushing your food. Benita poured water in her mouth rubbing her back continuously.

Lucas came in through the crowd gathered and went towards Tina giving her his handkerchief to clean herself, but Tina withheld from it ignoring him. some of the people around were screaming and blushing over the scene.

Tina got up and walk away with her friends leaving Lucas behind.

"wait oo Tina I don't seems to get what is going on or is it that you know this guy before. Tope beckoning on Tina as she is walking fast towards the restroom.

"I don't think I have any answer to that Tope!"

"what do you mean? Beatrice draws her back which she flipped off her hands.

"let me be Beatrice!. I don't know him and I will never know him. Tina yelled at them opening the tap water washing her face .

"if you don't feel like telling us then, I don't think we would bother you about it again."

Beatrice said leaning on the wall.

"I even heard he is the son of a big popular company called the Big matt magazine. which simply means the Matt... there is the abbreviation for Matthew." Beatrice looked at Tina.

"yes. it's true ooo ha! omo olowo gidi ni o chai how I wish he would just look my side.

Tope said blushing all over.

"Kai omo Yoruba! you don't know more than money. I know you are not after the love but money, as you just heard about him being rich and popular". Beatrice tickled Tope who laughed at her jokingly.

the three ladies left the restroom and Head to their classroom but Tina kept poundering in her mind on why Lucas would suddenly developed affection for her.

"did he know me? or has he be stalking me somewhere! why the quick action at me. I think I need to know all this. he should have a answer to it. or is he falling for me ? hell! no he wouldn't. I don't fall for handsomeness guy anyways.
