6 Meeting Bushy Brows

With the routine I had developed, I was making extraordinary gains in strength and control. While I still could not sense my chakra, I knew that with the path I was heading on, eventually, the time would come when I could. My meditation had become very good at this point, and even if I were to meditate in the middle of the room with all the noise surrounding me, I would still be able to proficiently meditate.

The gains I made from this were surprisingly fast, and I had a few conjectures about the reasons. The first reason was quite standard, the better I could meditate, the more benefits meditation would grant me, which would allow me to meditate better, and so on. Basically, meditation does not have a linear growth pattern where the rate stays the same, but an exponential one where the better I am the more I gain. Of course, eventually, my gains will slow back down when meditation reaches its limits, but for now, the growth potential seems to be infinite.

The other reason I could contribute to my high-speed attainment in meditation is the fact that I am a transmigrated individual. I have decades of memories stuffed into the body of a 5-year-old, which means that the mental aspect of my current chakra is much higher than the physical counterpart. I don't remember much about the nitty-gritty details of the anime, but I do know that the higher the mental aspect, or yin aspect, of your chakra is, the more fine control over your chakra you possess. After all, the yin aspect symbolizes stability and control, while the physical aspect, or yang aspect, is more about vigor and outburst.

Of course, having one of both is not beneficial for your overall strength. If you possess too much yin chakra energy, your body will be corroded and weakened from the lack of yang chakra. Similarly, the excess of yang chakra and lack of yin chakra results in less control over your chakra and outburst, meaning less strength in each hit.

So for a ninja to have optimal strength and potential, the refining of both yin and yang is important, especially the balance between both. For now, my yin energy remains higher than my yang, at least it should since I have 24 more years of experience than I should at the moment.

Nevertheless, my yang chakra is not low or weak, as I don't feel like my body is being corroded from my overwhelming yin chakra. I do possess a body stronger than those my age, so that would have something to do with it. Also, I haven't even accessed chakra yet, so even if the difference between the two energies is huge, it would not have a huge effect on me yet.

All this basically entails that in the future, I need to have more focus on my body than my mind to be able to keep a balance between the two.

Speaking of the body, I have to mention that while my meditation has had great leaps, my body has had even greater gains! I don't know what it is, but it seems I was born with a strong body, stronger than my peers.

I have grown even bigger, not by much, but by a couple of centimeters in the past couple of weeks. Training my body does have its benefits after all, and even though I have only grown taller and not bulkier, my strength has increased as well. Compared to when I first began working out and could only do a couple of pushups, I can currently do at least 20 before collapsing. That doesn't seem much, especially compared to a full-fledged adult, but keep in mind I am only 5 years old at the moment!

My growth is going at a good pace, and I can see the hope of becoming a strong ninja in the future. As for the academy... I can't say much because I don't know the current strength of the main characters at the moment, but at least I don't believe that they are ahead of me by a lot.

After all, no matter how early you start training, unless you are a prodigy like Itachi or Kakashi, you can only be so strong by the age of 5. And since there is no war at the moment, Clans are much more lenient in their training of the next generation, so they should only start seriously training when they are 5 years old, like me. At most, they have been training for a couple more months than I.

This makes me optimistic about my future, but I know that when everyone starts seriously training in the future, their innate advantages will show, and the specialty that some of them possess, like Naruto with his Uzumaki bloodline and incalculable amounts of chakra, and even Shikamaru with his enhanced intelligence and his Nara bloodline, will allow them to have stronger combat strength than me even if our chakra and strength are the same levels.

All this pushes me to enhance my strength now when I can snatch as many resources as I can by showing my potential early. Of course, that demands me to have good potential to show in the first place...

Anyhow, my ninja path is currently progressing at a great pace. I still haven't acquired any katas, but my options are pretty limited when I can't even leave the orphanage on my own. Apparently, the rules were much looser before the Kyuubi incident and Orochimaru experimenting on people occurred, so I could only lament my luck.

Today was another day of going to the Konoha Playground. I have pretty much lost hope of meeting a main character here. We've been here more than 10 times, but every time all I've been able to do is work out on the monkey bars and with the kids.

My routine was going the same way as every other time, with me working out while the kids around me played, that is, until I happened to catch a glimpse of one of the most blood-pumping, bad-ass, awesome characters in the entirety of the show. Wearing a white classic Chinese outfit, with a long black ponytail going down his back, and thick bushy eyebrows to compliment it all, Rock Lee of the Hidden Leaf Village in all his glory was currently standing in front of me!
