There is no future
9 pm, Black Rose bar.
The room was engulfed in silence as if the shadow of death loomed over it. No one was brave enough to break the silence. The room full of people was trembling with fear.
A man wearing a distinguished black mask covering the half-top of his face was clearly in a terrible mood. This was the reason the people inside the room were afraid to make any move for fear of further spoiling his mood.
In that room, that man was the only person who was wearing a mask over his face. And the mask was not any common mask. It was his trademark mask. It was a custom-made mask and not sold anywhere in the country.
No other person in the country was allowed to copy the design of the mask. It had an extricate design with signature mark of Li family carved with gold penmanship. The combination of black and gold made the man wearing the mask looked even more domineering.
The man wearing the black mask swept a deathly glance at a plump man standing across him. At that instant, that plump man felt cold sweat gliding his back. It was as if he could feel his life was nearing the end just from that glance.
"Take him away." Cold, detached voice from the masked man sent the plump man kneeling on the ground. He knew his fate was sealed the moment the masked man issued the order.
"Young Master Li, please forgive me! I promise this incident won't happen again in the future!" With his imminent death in front of him, he shed all pretences and pride to beg the younger man. Although he was older than the masked man, there was no power of seniority here. There was only the power of capability and wealth.
And this masked man was not any common young master. He came from the Li family that ruled the underworld. This masked man named Li Han was the acknowledged heir of Li family. At the young age of 27 years old, he already held the rein to control the entire factions of underworld in the country.
"There is no future." Li Han's voice still held the cold and detached tone.
The face of the plump man paled. He clearly understood the meaning of Li Han. Any possible incident in the future would be exterminated by eliminating him. It meant that there was no second chance for him.
As a last resort, he sent a pleading look to a man sitting beside Li Han.
"Young Master Ye, I was wrong. I have learned my mistakes. Please give me another chance." As if grasping for his final straw, the plump man pleaded.
Ye Xing who was suddenly pulled into this mess gave an annoyed look. "What's the point of looking at me? You clearly know this man's taboo. But you still called the girls over for this gathering. You crossed his bottom line and you expected to be forgiven?"
Ye Xing could not hide his frustration as he was reminded of the turn of the event. They were supposed to be having fun among themselves at this private room. But this plump manager of the club just had to bring some young, pretty girls into the room to gain brownie points.
It would be fine if it was just a common gathering. But today, Li Han had finally agreed to grace them with his presence after much coaxing. This masked and mysterious man who usually liked to distance himself and avoid places with a crowd of people was here tonight.
Everyone in the circle knew Li Han's taboo. His hatred towards any contact or interaction with women was common knowledge. There was always no woman present in any gathering or meeting attended by him. He avoided women like they were contagious plague.
No one knew the reason behind his action and no one was foolish enough to probe about the matter. All they could do was to abide by his rules.
Seeing his last way out was cut off mercilessly, the plump manager started slapping his own face. "I am punishing myself now. I won't stop until Young Master Li forgives me," he said as he continued slapping his face.
Ye Xing scoffed. As if it could work. If it would work, this masked man wouldn't be known as The Villain in the entire country. Li Han was not a benevolent man who would forgive anyone who crossed him, much less someone who broke his taboo.
As expected, with a flick of Li Han's wrist, his bodyguards who were standing close came forward and took the plump manager away. His screaming and wailing voice faded as he was brought far away from the room.
Another bodyguard stepped forward and sprayed the room with natural freshener as if to eradicate the smell left from the strong perfumes worn by the girls earlier that was lingering in the air.
Ye Xing and the group of young masters from various family who were left in the room could almost feel their jaws dropped to the floor. They had heard about Li Han's taboo and knew about it. But they didn't know it was to this extent!
The group of girls were only in the room for less than ten seconds before being chased out. Did he have to be this extreme!?
