Chapter six; You are a what?
Grayson had told me his bringing in a suprise earlier, he didn't tell me his bringing in a woman, who this beautiful. Am sure he did it on purpose, and am not going to give in the pleasure of seeing me annoyed. she walked over to them
"Welcome honey, how you doing?" she asked with a smile that didn't reach her eyes.
"Am fine honey, i just went out to pick up a suprise for you" he answered.
" A suprise?" she asked. she knew she's lieing, he never called her honey unless he wants to play a prank or his angry with her and doesn't want anyone to know. Then two can play that game.
" Yes, a suprise, have forgotten you promised to get me a suprise, so where's it, i mean the suprise, where's the suprise?" she said sarcasm clearly written in her tone.
"Well the suprise is right here" he said pointing at Lucinda.
"Awnnnn welcome, how was your flight" she asked smiling at Lucinda.
" Actually it is how was the ride, it was fine, and if you're wondering why i didn't take a plane, Well it's because am afraid of heights and have phobia for plane" she answered truthfully, shocking both Benita and Grayson.
"Welcome, it's lovely meeting you" she lied
" No need for lies, i know you aren't expecting me and you hate your husband being around women, especially beautiful ones like me. So no need for the lies please" she answered with a smile.
" Okay, so you know I'm not expecting you and i hate women around my husband so why are you acting so nice." she asked confused about the whole situation.
" you don't need to be confused, i know you more than you know and once again don't lie to me, am sure you don't want to see the other side of me" she said in a threatening tone and wide eyes, while Benita just nodded in agreement. "Good, now am starving get your sister-in-law food" she said flashing her a smile, while Benita returned it with a stiff nod.
Food was ready and everybody is sitted in the dining room eating and dining while Benita watch everyone eat and chat happily.
' cough, cough' Lucinda coughed.
" i knew it, you are a witch, or aren't you" Benita questioned. she had kept some things in the soup that know witch ever resist to cough after taking three spoon.
" is this about the broth soup you made or because I coughed. Am lost here, Grayson you didn't tell me this is how your wife greet guest, or should i say sister-in-law " she asked with a cool but angry voice. When she got know reply she continue talking "i don't like white bread, i love the ones that are brown or slightly burnt, white bread always make me cough. I also love the soup you made for us it was delicious, and that was the reason i finished my soup a while ago before eating the bread, i just didn't want to be rude" she explained calmly while she showed her a empty bowl." You where so engrossed in whatever you were thinking you didn't take note ..."
" And she tried calling you several times to change her bread to crispy brown but you didn't answer,it was as if you were dumbstruck " Grayson cut in and then stood up to leave the premises carrying is daughter in hand.

'Away from there Grayson tried to figure out what was going on, he didn't understand how it was possible, how could Lucinda be able to eat a broth soup without coughing' he mused.

" Am sorry, i didn't know what i was thinking i taught you were a wit..."
" a witch, yes of course am a WITCH" she interrupted, while Benita froze in her sit. " am a special witch and i love broth soup my mum always make broth soup for me, she says something about being immune to it's virus and hawire bla bla bla. That's why i wear this to" she said flashing her the witches ring she adorned on her pinkie finger.
" the witches finger" she gasped and continued " yours is ice " she took notice.
" yeah am actually an ice and fire witch, but mostly ice" she said with a smile.
" You Are What?" she said angry about the fact that her husband brought in an ice WITCH, a mix breed also.
" yeah a mix breed of fine and ice that's why i couldn't board a ....."
" a flight" Benita completed.
