1 A New Job

Robert's Pov

"Draconis!" Mr. Leo said. "Huh, wha?" I said as I woke up and looking at Mr. Leo. "No sleeping in detention. Why don't you spend this time doing something, productive." He said before looking back at his magazine. I had gotten into trouble with the school bully the past few weeks and had gotten detention 5 times now. I looked back at the guy to see he and his friends snickering, I fell off my chair as I put my hand on my head. "Agh, this is disgusting!" I said as I pulled my hand back to reveal a piece of chewed up gum. "Draconis? What is it?" Mr. Leo asked looking away from his magazine. "It looks like Someone stuck seven packs of gum in my hair." I said glaring at Sam as he blew a bubble and popped it, he then said, "I didn't see nothing." "Samuel, go to the office." Mr. Leo said. He grabbed his bag, slapped one of his friends on his head and just before closing the door he looked to me and said, "You're dead snitch!"

I was walking down the hall with the gum still in my hair and as I was walking and hearing everyone whispering and snickering I wasn't paying attention and I bumped into Elizabeth or Elly for short. "Oh, hi Robert." She said in her usual bright and sunny voice. After the recent affair I didn't want to talk to her out of fear of what Jack would do so I ran off down the hall. "Hey wait, I don't bite." She said as I continued running, I ran round the corner and. "Just my luck." I said as I stood in front of Sam, Lex, and Daniel. "Well, is it that time already?" He said as the cracked his knuckles.

I was at the porch of my home and I turned the key and walked in, dropped my bag on the couch and ran upstairs to my room.

We read the description of the target and were on our way to the house. "Are ya sure the boss wants this guy pal?" Said one of the passengers. "Yes, he wants every last one of them on the list. So ya'll better not mess this up." I said as I pulled up at the meeting point, "Ya'll make sure to get the target's interest in doing this." "Come on this type of stuff gets everyone's attention." Said another one of the passengers.

Robert's Pov

I was playing a game on my computer which I had found quite interesting when there was a knock on the door, I paused my game and went down to see what it was. I opened the door to see an envelope signed to me, I looked around and opened it.

Dear Robert Draconis,

You have been offered a job for the Gen CO Genetics facility for your advanced tech capabilities, you will have to be there 24/7 while you are working. The interview will be conducted at the Gen CO headquarters on September 4th at 3:00AM. Attendance is mandatory, you must not tell anybody about this and go to the meet up point on the corner of Preston Rd and WhiteLeaf Av at 8:00PM. Looking Forward to Making Your Acquaintance.
