126 Unease

Unease washes through me as I stare at the spot he was just standing in. He wasn't wet... not a drop on him and here I stand, dripping wet with ice-cold rain. I take another breath and watch when I see it linger in the air. 

The temperatures are dropping fast... the hair on the back of my neck suddenly stands. I quickly turn around, looking into the dark woods. My eyes bleed over into solid black as I look further into the woods with sharper eyes. 

I keep my breathing shallow as I strain to hear or see anything. Nothing but the sound of the rain can be heard but I feel as if someone or something is watching me. My nails grow once again but this time I keep my arms to my sides in a relaxed manner.

When I feel a breath on the back of my neck, I quickly turn around but I see nothing. My chest rises and falls as my eyes shift around me. Did they just sniff me? When I feel someone else approach me from behind, I quickly spin around with my nails out.
