1 Chapter 1: Enjoy your da-hanging out

My name is Leah Coleman I'm 18, 5'6, I have a twin brother named Cole but we go to different schools, and an older sister Arianne who is 21. You must be wondering why my dad named my brother Cole Coleman it just makes sense to him I guess? I go to Bridgewood High with my best friend Stephanie and her brother Xavier Gabriel.

"You guys should get your butts down here now 'cause I'm leaving in one minute" I yell into their house and sit in the driver's seat to wait.

Then Stephanie runs out and shouts "wait you impatient little monkey" and jumps into the shotgun seat and I smack behind her head and mutter "idiot" and the so very mighty Xavier comes out in all his amazing glory slowly walking to my car like a model on the runway- and look one minute is gone.

"Bye Xavier" Steff and I shout while I'm driving away and once Xavier snapped out of his 'I'm awesome' stage he starts running down the street shouting "WAIT!! WAIT!! STOP!! LEAH!!" and I stop at the next street in front of the school gates and put my head out the window

Xavier comes out a few seconds later and glares at me and Steff, walks up to the car and says "I told you to wait but you didn't"

I reply " yes I did" and gesture to the school gate in front of us "I stopped in front of the school gate, so technically I did stop"

Then Steff butts in "yeah Xavier, she did stop and also it's your fault you said stop but not where"

He frowns slightly " true, but I'm sure you know what I meant" and Stephanie shrugs

I finally say "okay let's get to school, I don't want to be late"

Then we strut into school like we own the place but Ms. Davis yells at us for walking too slow but we still strut anyways to our lockers and we put in our codes and get our books and we run to Mr. Allison's class.

I swear this man gives out detention slips like paper

Well it is paper

Whatever, we get to class a second before the late bell is rung and breathe a sigh of relief when we find out the teacher isn't in class- scratch that here he is. Let the boredom begin. Yay!

After three hours of torture known as classes we head for break, not lunch but break like when you buy snacks or eat snacks you brought from home. I brought out some snacks and start eating. Xavier brought a ham and cheese sandwich with soda while Steff brought some carrots, an apple and fruit juice; Steff and I always bring sort of healthy snacks and eat junk food during lunch cause face it it's better that way so we maintain the body size we have I guess?

We didn't finish our snacks but stored them for later like when we are falling asleep our something like that and headed to class.

Two hours, four licorice and another juice box later we headed to lunch, today I selected two slices of pizza, a vanilla cupcake and a green apple- I like them don't blame me- the twins selected whatever they wanted and we headed to our table which is close to the popular table and sat down then Steff talks "so today during sports, some cheerleaders asked me to join the cheer squad"

I asked "what did you say"

she replies "I said yes obviously" and we squeal in delight then Xavier had to be the buzz kill "what's so awesome about being on the cheer team.

Steff smacked him at the back of his head and said "it's like having a free pass to everything"

He replies "I don't see the connection" and I say to Steff "boys are so clueless at times" and she nods in agreement and Xavier mutters a 'whatever' and runs his hand through his hair

Marcy walks down to our table and asks Xavier "you look like crazy Xavier, fix whatever you did to your hair '' and his cheeks turn slightly pink then he glances in my direction then she leaves the table to hers while shaking her head and smiling lightly.

*skip to ten minutes before lunch is over*

Like most high schools there's a slut or queen bee and so as our school and her name is McKenzie Hollister, she is not a slut -no she's more or less the queen bee, most popular, she pretty much has the whole school wrapped around her perfectly manicured fingers *cough* claws *cough* she can start a fight and get out with no trouble while the other person gets into a shit- load of trouble. Excuse my words. And she approaches or table while swaying her hips and sits very close to Xavier

"Hey Xavier" she twirls her hair- everybody knows she has a crush on Xavier except from him of course because he thinks she's weird.

He replies dryly "hey McKenzie"

She smiles and flutters her eyelashes "so Xavier do you want to meet me um... after school tomorrow at the park by 5"

He replies "sure" she gets up with an evil smile and looks at me with a face that says 'I have what you want'

Yeah sure I have a crush on my best friend's brother, not that big of a deal, Steff knows and looks at me with them eyes- she knows about my crush but I shake my head and try to mask my emotions. Xavier looks at me almost questioningly and plaster a fake smile and say "Xavier I'm happy for you, enjoy your da-hanging out with McKenzie" and I continue with my food.

My phone buzzes in my pockets

{Stephanie - S; Leah - L}

S: r u good

L: Lol yeah, why won't I be?

S: well dumbass over there is going on a date w McKenzie and I saw your face- a flash of emotion u could say

L: you're seeing things again, I'm fine

S: i know what i saw....okie lets say ur fine, dont u feel jelly even a little bit

L: I am fine...also I'm not 'jelly' what's that?

S: jealous dont act stupid w me

L: I can't say I'm not jealous, I mean she actually asked him out but I'm here being shy and shii....heck I'm closer to him than she and I can't do it

S: it's different w u cause y'all r close which means it would be more awkwardish lol

I roll my eyes, like what she said helped at all

L: Tch, you're of no help whatsoever

S: that's ur opinion baybeeee

I turn off my phone and quickly finish up my food before the bell rings then I head to the library.
