Caught Him Off Guard

Her anger surged inside her. So she did something bizarre. It was so daring that even the henchman was caught off guard. She responded. She kissed him back, trying to envision him as Ladislas for a few seconds until she got near what she wanted. His grip on her loosened and he broke away, staring at her questioningly with a glare before releasing her. He stepped back and cocked his head sideways and stared at her in confusion.

"Isn't that what you wanted?" she said in a breathy whisper, hopefully sounding seductive, although she typically felt that she was born lacking that trait.

She twisted a lock of her short hair around her finger and batted her lashes in what she hoped was an alluring way.
