Amber sat beside Jacob's bed, holding his hand tightly

It does not look like she would let go of it in any moment

Her eyes were all swollen up from crying

How could Jacob of all people have Anorexia?

Now that she thinks about it, during the whole time Jacob stayed with them, he had never complained about not having enough food to eat or not getting to eat all

Sometimes Antony and Maria would finish the whole food without leaving any for him

At first she thought it was probably because he had already ate something before but now it is all clear the reason why it has always been like that.

She did not pay attention to Jacob at all even though they were married for three years

She has been a bad wife

She sniffed as the door opened and Enzo entered with his face glued to the ground

"I know you do not like me, is that why you did not tell him about Jacob's condition?" She asked him without tilting her head to take a glance at him

"It's not like that" Enzo defended himself "Apart from Jacob, me and the doctor, you are the only one who knows about this. Jacob wanted to keep it a secret"

"Why?"

"His step mother would do anything to send him far away from the family, if she finds out he is sick in any way, she would use it against him" Enzo explained

Amber was mute as she seems to understand the situation he was in

And since she was not always there for him, it would have been hard for him to tell her

Everything is practically her own fault

"I am a bad wife" she sobbed

"I can't really deny that" Enzo said without any remorse "You treated my young master really bad, but now you have the chance to amend all your mistakes, you can be a good wife from now on"

"Can I?" She said as she slowly stroke his head, watching how handsome his face is while sleeping

"Now that I think about it, it is the first time I would be seeing Jacob's face while sleeping. We never slept in the same room so I have never seen this sight before"

Enzo's phone rang and he excused himself to take the call

"Jacob" Amber called as she moved closer to him and kissed his forehead "When you wake up, you should eat a lot of delicious foods"

"Like what?" He replied.

Amber's eyes widened in excitement

"Jacob!" She yelled happily and watched as he opened his eyes "Are you really okay now?"

"Of course I am" he smiled weakly "Hug your husband, will you?"

"Oh dear" Amber hugged him softly, trying not to be rough so as not to put him in pain "Jesus, you scared me"

"How scared were you?" He lifted his hand and placed his palm on her cheek "I guess I made you cry"

"You did" She sniffed back her tears "You looked like you were going to die back there"

"But I am not dead" Jacob chuckled "I am sorry"

"Why didn't you tell me?" Amber sighed "we could have found a solution to it if you told me"

"I was planning to tell you but I was scared"

"Of what?"

"Your reaction. No wife would be so pleased to hear her husband has anorexia" he sighed and sat up slowly "I wanted you to be happy"

"You idiot" Amber pouted as tears gathered in her eyes again "I can't believe you have always been throwing up all the dishes"

"But I still got to have a taste of them" Jacob smiled

"It must have been hard for you" she blinked back her tears

The door opened and Enzo entered

His face suddenly brightened up when he saw that Jacob was awake

"Jacob!" He yelled out with his loud masculine voice "Man, you are awake!" He ran to give him a hug

"Enzo" Jacob choked while trying to disengage the hug "I can't breath"

"Oh, sorry" he disengage the hug "You slept for too long, I was so scared, I thought you would die"

"Stop exaggerating" Jacob narrowed his brow "Be honest, for the whole period I was asleep, you were glad there was no young master to send you on errand, right?"

"How could you say that?" Enzo blinked innocently "that's not fair"

Amber just kept chuckling while watching the two friends bicker

"By the way" Enzo's face suddenly became sullen "The maids at home informed your Father you collapsed and were rushed to the hospital"

"And?" Jacob arched his brow

"He is on his way here" Enzo replied "With your step brothers and step mother"

"Do not allow them to come in" Jacob frowned "Tell the nurses I said that"

"But young master, they are....."

"Why should they not allow your Father to come in?" Grey Hennessy entered with Lilian beside him and Mason and Ian behind them.

Ian and Amber exchanged a greeting by smiling at each other and of course being a quick witted one, Jacob noticed that

"What in the world happened to you? Why would you collapsed?" Grey asked

"Are you trying to be a caring father right now? Stop it, it does not suit you" Jacob glared at him "As you can see, I am fine now so take this people and go"

"You do not look okay tho" Mason snickered "You look like you need to be hospitalized for the next few days"

"How about I hospitalize you for the rest of your life?" Jacob threw Mason a non friendly glare "Why in the world are you even here?"

"Why should I not be here?" Mason scoffed "My little brother is sick, I need to visit him, don't I?"

"Stop it mason" Grey cautioned and turned back to Jacob "What is the sickness?"

"What do you mean?" Jacob tilted his head to look at him

"What is the reason why you collapsed and were admitted to the hospital?" Grey made his question clear

"Sir, it's because he has been stressed out lately...." Enzo tried to answer but was cut off immediately

"I know my son, he won't just collapse because he is stressed out" Grey lifted his brow "How about you guys tell me what happened? Amber?" He turned to Amber who looked at Jacob who gave him a no sign

"Let's just ask the doctor ourselves" Lilian suggested "We are his family members, the doctor would at least tell us that much".
