Ruby Alasdair looked down and smiled at Theodore Cielo who was asleep in her lap.

Currently, Ruby is in her father's study along with the others. Her two older brothers stood next to Duke Alasdair's chair and Syler Cielo sat on the sofa across from Ruby. The man continued to stare at his son and also at Ruby. When the maids wanted to treat the wounds on Sylver's face and arms, the man refused. He just wiped the blood on his body using his hands and didn't do anything else. 

In her place, Ruby occasionally glanced at the wounds on the Duke's body. The man didn't mind getting hurt just because he wanted to save her. No. More precisely so that she wouldn't hurt Theodore and also stop his son from crying.

There was no way a cold man like Sylver Cielo would worry about a woman like Ruby Alasdair, Ruby thought to herself.

"Ruby, can you explain what happened to you to Father, Honey?"
