Rebirth

With a huge lightexplosion the second life of Roland started.

Black. The first thing that Roland could see in his new life was nothing. Just black.

Some of his memories started to come back. The memories showed Roland in his last few moments before the witch killed him with the huge fireball she summoned. He could feel the incredible pain once more as if he was still standing in front of the witch.

In this moment he felt all the heatred towards this witch. She was a friend of Roland since his early years, but betrayed him and killed him after she found the book of magic.

Little did she know that the book must choose its owner.

Well Roland was still alive, even if it was currently just black. He had hope that he will be able to see something very soon. But it was obvious that the book had choosen him, because he had come back to live.

After this thought of him there came light. Not a pure white light, but a beautiful yellow little light.

The light became brighter a Roland kept watching it. That was the moment when Roland realised that it wasn't just a normal light, but a halo around an object. The object was of course the book.

The book turned open an the pages flipped backwards from the last to the very first page. All this happend in just a few seconds. After the book opened it first page Roland could hear someone screeming. He realised the screaming came from his own mouth. But it was high pitched an sounded like a little girl screaming and not a man. Roland lost sight of the book and realised, that he was in a little room with a few candlea vut nothing more.

It couldn't even be called a room, it was more a small cave than a room.

Wait.

Roland panicked.

He knew this cave. It was the cave where he first met the witch Anna who betrayed him in his past life.

Shock.

If this was her cave and he was screaming like a little girl, didn't that mean he was the witch in her early days???

That couldn't be right, Roland thought.

The screaming stopped.

Roland could now feel his arms and limbs.

He turned his head downwards.

He was really a girl now.

From his body he could say he was around 12 years old. The same age the witch was when he found her in this cave.

He turned his head an looked outside the cave.

The moon was blood red.

It was the same on the day he first met her. And he remembered that the moon was red only once every decade.

He looked not like 22 and definitly not like 2 years old. It must be the red moon on the day when he first met her.

Well Roland had time. He wanted to see what will happen. So he waited. He waited the whole day just to see if a certain someone was coming. But not a single person came that day.

At least that was what Roland was thinking. The moon was about to turn normal and roland thought nobody would come today.

But just as the moon was about to change it color to normal again he heard a voice:

"Hello. Is someone here?"
