"It has been two hours. The rain didn't stop. It is still a heavy downpour. What to do?" Charlotte asked him and tilted her head. To her surprise, Édouard had fallen asleep.

"How could he fall asleep in this situation?" She mumbled in anger and lifted her hand to wake him up, but then stopped midway. She slowly brought her hand down and put it above his head.

'So, this is what his hair feels like,' she thought. Soft, silky golden hair suited Édouard's face. She brushed the tendrils away from the right part of his forehead and caressed his head.

Since when did they become this close? Charlotte pondered. Her heart pounded to see his long eyelashes and then her eyes landed on his lips.

She recalled their kiss and a tiny smile appeared on her lips. Her fingers curled as she reminisced how many times Édouard confessed his love for her. In this short time, she found him thoughtful and affectionate to her.
