Charlotte looked at Mathieu's reflection in the clear ocean-blue water and whispered, "Mathieu!"

Édouard and Aurora heard her at the same time. Charlotte stepped up and slightly bent to reach the water's surface. Tears rolled down her cheek as she saw the smiling face of Mathieu in the water. She had stopped hearing the foreign sounds, and all she could hear was Mathieu.

"You married my brother," Mathieu said, and she turned to look at her left. Her entire surroundings were covered in the fog. She wondered from where Mathieu's voice came. Finally, Mathieu showed up in front of her. She lifted her gown and walked in his direction.

"Do not come near me," Mathieu said and Charlotte halted at her place.

"Why?" She asked.

"Because I am not alive," Mathieu said.

Charlotte shook her head.

"Édouard will take good care of yours. Many conflicts existed between us. He loves you more than me," Mathieu said.
