19 ...The Bad News...

Sarra kept looking at Tarou getting closer and closer to her, with wide open eyes:

" It is really him!! Why did he come back? Is he going to stay? No, I shouldn't have high hopes. Stay calm, Sarra. Maybe he forgot something"

Tarou landed on the roof where Sarra was standing, then he approached her. Her heart started beating so fast.

- Hello again...

She couldn't say a word out of surprise, He leaned toward her :

- You said you are going to kick my ass if you see me again. Well, here I am. Show me how you're going to do it.

At that moment Sarra's face turned red:

- DID YOU HEAR THAT? BUT, HOW?

- Did you forget that I'm a wind monster? My senses are very strong, like an eagle. I heard everything you said.

Sarra hid her face out of embarrassment:

- STOP TEASING ME. WHY DID YOU COME BACK? DID YOU FORGET SOMETHING?

- Let's head down first.

Tarou carried her, without notice, and jumped from the roof. Sarra didn't realize what was happening to her, she hold onto him unconsciously. But when he put her down, she kicked his leg while looking very angry.

Tarou screamed out of pain:

- AOUCH, WHY DID YOU DO THAT?

- That's how I was going to kick you. If you intended to come back, why did you leave in the first place?

- I thought about it and I decided to stay as well. You don't mind, don't you?

Despite hitting him, she was very happy to see him again.

Aaron and Anna heard Tarou's scream. They headed out of the house right away:

- TAROU?....YOU ARE BACK! WHAT HAPPENED?

Asked Aaron while running toward his brother

- I will stay, too, for a while. I have nothing special to do in the land anyway. Mother needs me more.

- But what about Father?

- I will explain to him everything, and he will understand.

Anna couldn't hold herself back anymore. She ran toward her sons, then she hugged them dearly while crying her heart out. They were back to her. After all the sadness and pain she has been through, she could finally smile and be happy again.

She held her sons' hands and went into the house.

Aaron and Tarou noticed that their mother's face became more relaxed. At that moment they realized how much anxious she was.

She kept smiling warmly:

- This is like a dream come true, finally, God responded to my prayers.

- I'm sorry for not looking for you all these years. Aaron couldn't remember, but I chose to neglect you...

- Don't say that, you were young too. I didn't blame you...

Aaron interfered:

- Now that both of us are staying here. We won't keep sleeping on the sofa, right?

- Of course, not! Sarra, can you show to them their room?

Sarra took them on a tour around the house. And that's when they noticed that it was very humble and lacked a lot of furniture. Even their room doesn't have beds.

- So, we will live here for the time being!

Sarra showed them her room. It had only a small bed, a desk, and an old closet. Nothing more.

Tarou was curious to know more about Sarra:

- How long have you been living here?

- Anna brought me to this place when I was eleven years old. We were both abandoned by our families, so we took care of each other, but she has never forgotten about you. She was taking good care of me hoping that someone will take care of you too.

- I hope we could make it up for what happened to her in the past. Fortunately, we still have a lot of time to do so...

Sarra suddenly stopped, she looked very sad and frustrated

- What's wrong? why did you stop?

- There is something you don't know.

- It's ok Sarra you can tell us, is it about mother?

- I'm not supposed to tell you that, but there is no time left. Anna is very sick.

- How bad is her sickness?

- Very bad. Doctors said that she doesn't have much time left to live.

Aaron was shocked by that bad news:

- WHY SHE DIDN'T TELL US ABOUT HER CONDITION FROM THE BEGINNING? WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF WE LEFT?

- She didn't tell you because she thought that she will be a burden to you. All she wanted was to see you even for a second, she didn't want you to stay by her side just because she is sick. But now, after you decided to stay, you must know that she is dying.
