The Magical Force (Flying Around The School)

Z and her former classmates were gathered again on the day of their high school reunion.

Their batch all stood up as one group in a corner where the old water well pump was once built at the very right side of the small school.

Many students were there, both old and new ones, even the graduating students for that year.

The graduating students were seated all near the stage at the far left. And the teachers and staff were seated at the center corridor of the school, in front of the Principal's office, which is facing the playground as well, in front of the stage.

Z's gaze was on them, to the graduating students. Her thoughts seemed flying and unconsciously uttered something that caught the attention of one of her former classmates, a woman.

"I will go up on stage also later..."

Then, the woman beside her laughed and told her,

"We've graduated already from here few years back. We cannot go on stage anymore. Only the graduating students for this year will climb up on stage. Have you forgotten it?"

Z, then realized that the woman beside her was right. She had forgotten the fact that she was an alumnae already. Her thoughts seemed flying somewhere, and felt she was not at her present self. She was mesmerized maybe of something she cannot explain.

She graduated already from there, and no need for her to go up on stage.

Then, after a few minutes, some of her known friends, a group of boys arrived and directly went towards them, to the area where their batch had assembled.

However, as they arrived, those boys behavior were unruly. The other one peed on the open ground, so Z hurriedly went towards him to stop him, however, another man peed to the other side too, and she ran towards him also to teach him not to do that there and taught them where to do it, in the proper place.

She was a bit embarrassed of their rude behavior, they're her friends, so to clean their mess, she took a water hose and directly sprayed water on the messy ground where they peed. Z ensured that everything's now clean, to prevent the spread of a stinky smell.

After finishing everything, Z just returned to her chair after she saw that everyone was now seated on their designated chair, in every corner of the playground facing the stage on the center.

The program was about to start when a sudden magical thing happened.

Suddenly, a magical force in the wind caught Z and lifted her up.

The wind brought her higher from the ground, lifted her up and up until she came to a higher space around the 2nd floor of the school.

Then the wind flied her around the campus where everyone can see, it seems she was going in circle around the school, flying and flying around it, so that everyone could see her. She was flown that way many times, and all the people who had attended there were all astounded and in awe of what they've witnessed at that moment.

Until the wind stopped right at the center of the school near the 2nd floor's space (the highest floor of the small school).

And unconsciously, in a soft voice she introduced herself to all of them, she first spoke her name saying,

"I am ______. I graduated few years back."

After that, she halted in flying around and the invisible force brought her inside the 2nd floor's room. She visited the room one by one, as if an invisible force is leading her there.

She let that force to guide her wherever she went.

Next, she came in a big room, it's like an old room. It looked so mysterious to her, and felt something strange as if something was hidden there and needed to be discovered by her.

As if something is waiting for her in a long time, as if she'd gone there already where her present self couldn't remember, or maybe there's a purpose why she's there. She had a lot of questions in mind but she could hardly fathom it that time.

Then, she heard the sound of steps slowly approaching, few of her friends came looking for her to fetch her, to help her, to bring her back to the gathering below.

The girls who came were worried about her, they asked her what had happened but she cannot answer them too, it's hard to explain.

One by one, they all went down from the 2nd floor but she was the last to leave, when another one came, a boy, a regular high school student. He introduced himself, he was one of the editing team or the high school student officers, the leading organization in the school.

He brought Z to their office at that very right, very end room of the 2nd floor. There were many students too in there, and they seemed all busy. They're the one preparing the program and in-charge of the school lighting and sound.

Their leader, a boy facing his computer turned around and handed over something to Z. It's a reward, it looked like a piece of paper, but a special printed paper.

Z hesitated to accept it, and the leader teased her smiling,

"Just buy us something with it if you want, you can treat us all..."

So, Z found the idea good, she liked his suggestion. She told them,

"So it's my treat, you could buy anything with it, like pizza for everyone..."

Everyone cheered, and the room was filled with laughter.

She decided again to leave from there. But one of the boys who had accompanied her earlier, walked towards her, to escort her going outside, and just stopped near the doorway, then he uttered a few words to her. He said, "Be careful on what you're doing, hoping that you're not trudging on a wrong path."

He was implying something, and Z got it, just reading it between the lines, she had understood what he's trying to say to her. She looked back, smiled and replied,

"Don't worry. I am a Christian. I always read and used the bible. And I am not practicing any cultic thing or some kind of sorcery or whatever witchcraft that's all against the Scripture."

Then, she turned around and walked away from there. She looked down and saw that there was no stairs at all, but only a sliding pole going down.

Everyone below was afraid she might fall and may get hurt if she'll do that. One of them, a boy standing on the ground looked up and offered her hand to assist her in going down. However, Z didn't accept it and she just slid down easily, unharmed.

They were in awe once again, on what she did.

As she came down to the ground again, all of them were already busy eating. It's like a festive day, each was on their table enjoying their food. They hardly noticed her at all. Z decided to go home at that moment and her friends asked her why, and she responded with a few words,

"I just wanted to change my clothes first, then, I'll be back."

"Okay. Come back soon", a woman responded.

Z felt everyone ignored her presence already, as if nothing had ever happened earlier.

But her friend consoled her with these words, "Let them be. They're just hungry and busy with their meal for this moment."

So, Z just walked away a little sad, but still she kept on looking back to all of them, she's a bit hesitant to leave them.

She, then, went home.
