Chapter 27

A month had passed, and the pain of what happened to him. Still there, it feels like it's just yesterday. What he said before he died still floating on my mind. I promised to change myself, to be better. I pursue my degree to become a Doctor while Selina she wants to be an accountant. I'm at the library right now reading books, while Selina was in her class. I glance at my wristwatch, It's me. I close my book stood up and strolled my way outside.

I walked to Selina's room and there she was arranging her stuffed and gathering putting inside her bag. I walked over to her stuffing my hand in my pockets. I never call her, My tense presents alarm everyone. She looked up and smiling brightly at me. I smile weakly, It's weird, It's awkward.

"You're cute." She announced smiling.

I rolled my eyes and smirked.

"Let's go, "I said nonchalantly, Grabbing her bag and slung on my shoulder. While my other hand intertwined our fingers.

"I'm so hungry." She said like a cry baby.

"Always, "I replied, She pout and sighed.

I chuckled faintly.

We get in the car. I drive peacefully, I don't race with satan anymore. Selina shifted plugging her phone and blasted some music. She really liked to annoyed me with that baby shark song. I rolled my eyes and she laughed.

And she changes the song, 'Say something I'm giving up on you' I like the song. I hold her hand and entwined our finger again.

I change my life, including my style. I don't wanna eat at a fancy restaurant most of the time. I want to cook. I drove heading to the grocery store.

We get inside the store.

"Oh! I like this." Selina exclaimed, grabbing some potato chips.

I shook my head slowly.

"You like cancer?" I questioned her lifting my eyebrows. She put back the chips while rolling her eyes.

I grabbed some fresh milk, quaker, and more. Next, we strolled our way to the fruits area. She runs over the strawberries, She grabbed white and red strawberries.

And placed in the cart, I grabbed some potatoes and mangoes.

"Let's go," I announced, turning my back at her. She sprinted, linking her arms around mine.

"Wait. I forgot to get flour." She said and walked away.

I grabbed some flour and I saw a hotcakes mix. I grabbed three packs of it.

"Hey." That voice was familiar to me. I looked up to the man towering me.

"Baron," I said, greeting him. He grabbed hotcakes too.

"Selina." He said and smile.

I stunned when he pulled me and hugging me tightly. This can't be, Kiari will kill him. I tried to pull mildly but he squeezes me.

"Uhm-Baron...I can't breathe." I said shyly.

He let go of me and hide something in his hand. And He smiles at me weakly he's weird. I smiled back.

"Selina." I know it's kiari. I can't see him Baron's blocking him in my sight. But I could tell his voice was cold.

He walked closer to me and looked at Baron with his death glare.

"What are doing her asshole?" Kiari asked blankly. Linking his arm around my shoulder.

"Haha...chill you'll regret calling me an asshole." Baron's said teasing.

"TSS, "Kiari mumbled.

"Bye, I have to go," Baron said fluttering at me and tapping kiari's shoulder.

"Bye Best friend," Baron said smiling idiotically. And walked straight to the counter.

"What did he said?" Kiari asked nonchalantly. I looked up to him.

"Nothing," I said twisting my mouth. Bother with the thoughts about why Baron hugged me. And why he seemed to hide something.

"Tss. Don't talk to him. I know tgat idiot." He said pulled me to the counter.

We got home, We decide to cook the hotcakes. I don't know, but everything I saw kiari cooking I fell in love over and over again.

He's sweating, he took off his shirt and it's revealed his 8 packs.

"Drool, "He said full mockery and wipe the side of my lips.

"Bad wife." He said huskily. I felt my face caught up in a fire. He gazes at me locking out eyes and he winks smiling widely. Which I've never seen before.

His gorgeousness can make me crazy it can make me mental block. He snapped me back to reality in the way he crashes the egg to my head. What the fuck?! I stunned, grabbing the eggs and launching on him. He holds my hand to stoped me and he chuckled, and everything is a mess.

"You cockroach!"I shouted picking the eggshell off from my head.

"Clean it up."Said grueling and sauntered away.

I entered the bathroom a do my business. I go out and still the kitchen was a mess.

"Clean it up." He said in the same manner. And sauntered at the bathroom. That cockroach! He wants me to clean this messy kitchen.

I cleaned the mess after a minute kiari appeared in the kitchen topless and the only covered he had was the towel wrapping his hips down to his knee. He grabbed a glass and filled it with cold water.

"Can... uhmm wear your shirt?" I asked uncomfortably.

"Why?" He asked, looked at me furrowed.

I don't know what to say. He starts taking stepped closer to me. I start walking backward and when I realized there's no more space I'm leaning the wall.

"Wife."He said husky sending goosebumps all over my body.

"Huh?" I said stunned.

He chuckled deeply grabbing my waist closer to him locking our grazed. I felt my cheeks burning, I can't take this. I hold the back of his neck pulling him for a kiss. I felt our soul connected embrace each other. The universe celestial bodies showering us. I closed my eyes slowly, I love him. And the butterflies start knocking out of my stomach.

The last thing I knew, It's morning. We are lying on the bed hugging each other tightly. Shirtless and the only thing covered us was the huge mattress.

I looked at him and smile, His red tired eyes stared at me blankly. He sighed and pulled me close for a hugged. I felt he kissed the middle of my head and I secretly smile.

He cooked breakfast and I made orange juice. I really liked the way he cooks, I walked behind him wrapping my hand on his torso and resting my head in his back. I close my eyes and smile, he shifted facing me. He smiles a little and tightening the hugged.

We eat breakfast peacefully, madly in love with each other.

"Selina." He said nonchalantly. He still not good at expressing his emotions.

"Kiari," I said casusally.

"Let's go home." He said quietly, locking our gaze.

Home? on his Dad's house? but I'm finally home. With him around, it's already felt like home. But hey! just kidding. hehe

"Ah- yeah," I said doubt. I was thinking if his Dad died what if his Dad's spirit was still there? like it's lurking or whatever. But these scenarios happened most of the time.

I looked at him and he nodded.

I almost jumped out of my seat when there's someone pressed the doorbell. Kiari walked through the door and look over to the peephole. And he opened the door.

"Hey, Selina!!" Baron shouting greeted. He's holding a folder.

I smiled at him, and Kiari smirked at him. They are best friends that's what I know but kiari was being no fun. When Baron passed to Kiari he hit Kiari with his shoulder rudely. And smile idiotically. Kiari rolled his eyes and crossed his arm. Looking at Baron with a death glare.

"What again moron?" Kiari asked deeply cold.

"Uh-oh don't call me that you'll regret it," Baron said happily.

"Why?" Kiari's asked irritated.

And we all shifted to the Man entering the house.

"Dad," Baron said and he stood up handling the folder.

Obviously, Kiari was curious, so do I.

"Kiari Gray," Baron's Dad said nodding examining Kiari.

Baron was still smiling happily yet playful; like they are planning something I just can't tell what it is.

Baron's Dad passing the folder to Kiari. He grabbed the folder nonchalantly and opened it.

Baron snickered and clasped his hand. Then he walked through me and hugged me. What the fuck is happening? Baron's Dad does the same, he walked over to me and hugged me. I'm puzzled. I furrowed my eyebrows flexing there is a big question mark.

"Lil sis," Baron said, brushing my hair.

"Selina." Baron's Dad said and I looked at him confused.

"Lil Sis?" I asked them and Baron's nodded still smiling.

"My daughter." His Dad said. Kiari walked over and hand me the folder.

It's a DNA test result.

"You're my Dad? And you Baron?" I questioned pointing to Baron he nodded linking his arm around me.

"Your brother" He announced.

"Selina, I hope it's not yet too late to be a father to you?" His Dad asked. I'm happy finally met him. I thought I'll be mad but nope, overflowing of happiness making my mg angered vanished. I looked at them puzzled, Although, I already absorb their words. It was just that it's so hard to believe.

Baron's Dad and I talked privately.

"You're Mom, Melisa knew each other since we are in high school. We fell in love with each other. I love her but your Mom's Dad Roderick was against us. He separated us and after a year, your mom married Timothy. Your Mom and I meet again, at the party, I still love her. We got drunk and the last thing we knew, you are here. I don't know anything about you, since I wasn't expecting this. But now, Selina please gave me a chance." He said quietly. I understand. Like is too short to deprived everyone of chances that they deserve.

I nodded and he hugged me, I hugged him back.

I rolled my eye as listening to Baron. I know what his planing at this moment. Especially his Selina's brother, I didn't see this coming, small world as it is.

"Hey! Say sorry for calling me Asshole, moron, or what else." He said demanding.

"Go to hell," I said nonchalantly and took a sip of my coffee.

"Woah," he said surprise and snickered.

"Okay. I don't like you for my Sister. So I guess I'll let this slide." He said teasing. I stared at him with my burning gaze.

"Oh, by the way, I met Ethan remember him? The boy you punched and leave nearly lifeless?

He said he likes Selina." He said warning me and he smiles playfully.

he really likes to piss me.

"You Ass— I want to kill you," I said deeply and he laughed.

"You'll kill me Selina will get mad and leave you." He said idiotically.

I rolled my eyes.

"Just say SORRY." He said emphasizing the word sorry full of mockery.

"Fine," I said and sighed.

"Sorry," I said deeply.

"Oh! it's not sincere. Do it like this.

Handsome Baron, I'm sorry." He said with feelings and that triggered me.

"Do it." He said forcing me.

"No," I said and stood up.

"Kiddo!" He shouted and I looked at him with a death glare.

Selina and Baron's Dad came.

I looked at Selina she's happy.

Baron sprinted to Selina linking his arm around her.

"Dad I think we should take Selina's home with us," Baron said teasing me again.

"Kiari Gray, Thank you for taking care of my daughter."Mr. Ramirez said. I nodded.

"But can we bring Selina's home?" Mr. Ramirez asked. I hate it, I don't like it that she's far away with me. But I need to give her time. I nodded.

"Thank you Kiari." Mr. Ramirez said laughed faintly.

"I'll just pack my clothes," Selina said slowly. I stared at her and he just smiled at me. I smirked.

"No need Lil sis. Ethan brought you clothes." Baron said and I clenched my fist. He's looking at me playfully.

"Who's that?" Selina asked lifting his eyebrows.

"Your suitor Lil Sis," Baron said and wink to Selina.

"Baron." Mr. Ramirez gave warning to Baron.

"Oh," Selina said and excused herself heading to the closet room.

I followed her. It feels sad.

"Selina," I call her and she looked at me smiling widely. And she hugged me. I hugged her back, tightening the hugged.

"Be careful there. Stay away to Ethan. I don't want you to go, to be honest, but this is your happiness." I said quietly.

"Thank you, love."She said and I pulled myself away from the hugged.

She kissed me on my cheeks and smiled. I grabbed her bag and holding her hand outside.

"Let's go?" Baron said and grabbed the bag off my hand.

Selina hugged me and I do the same.

"That's right Lil Sis. Say goodbye Ethan will marry you soon." Baron said mocking me and I hate it, My angered filled up. I hate when he mentioned Ethan and when he said something about marrying Selina.

I stared at him with a death glare.

"Baron get out!" Mr. Ramirez shouted to him and he brushed his hair then exited my condo.

"We'll take good care of her Kiari." Mr. Ramirez said.

And he holds Selina and walked outside.

Temporary goodbye. That's it, she meets his real Dad I should be happy for her. But know she thousand meters away, It made me crazy.
