New knowledges and new skill...

A herd of strange mammoth-like beasts can be seen from a distance. most of them appear to be grey in colour while only a dozen of them on the other hand, are a much darker grey. Just like a mammoth, they seem to have woolly fur. These large beast don't have any tusks, but instead have horns shaped more like a bison's, the more darker ones on the other hand have much bigger horns, most likely representing a different gender from the slightly lighter ones.

The smallest ones of the adults are 4 meters in height, while the biggest ones on the other hand, are 40 centimeters bigger. The biggest ones are more likely to be the leaders of the herd. Danny also noticed that there were a few that are much smaller than the rest, they are very likely to be the children of the travelling herd, all the small ones had the same colour with the exception of having small horns.

The herd of beasts were at the other side of the river, they didn't even bat an eye at Danny's magnificent base! Though it's not like Danny cares, they're only beasts after all, it's not like they would understand the meaning of art... Either way, the herd was minding their own business, so naturally Danny minded his own.

Eventually the herd passed by, never to be seen again.

...

'Just seeing more things here confirm that I'm in a different world.'

'But since I can't just leave, I guess I'll just live with it then...'

Danny was known to be a rather casual type of person, but only gets serious when he knows he has to be. In his own opinion, he is somewhat open minded too.

Yesterday, after he finished analyzing the samples he took, he managed to obtain 785,000 KP, currently he is planning to spend it to obtain new knowledges.

To earn certain knowledge, the knowledge before that has to be obtained first, if the knowledge isn't present, and if there's nothing before that, the player would have to buy that knowledge using XP, and only XP, of course it is also possible to spend that XP on knowledge that the player can spend KP on. Of course they can also spend money to buy knowledge from certain vendors... But Danny can't do that since there are no vendors that would sell him any knowledge, nor are there any vendors around in the first place...

Either way, Danny proceeds to use his KP to obtain new knowledge:

[35,000 KP + Basic chemistry + Material science ---> Nano science]

[50,000 KP + Basic chemistry + Basic physics + Basic biology + Nano science ---> Smart materials]

[40,000 KP + Electrical engineering + Basic physics + Material science ---> Electronic engineering]

[35,000 KP + Basic biology + Basic chemistry ---> Biochemistry]

[60,000 KP + Pharmacology + Medicine + Biochemistry + Chemical engineering ---> Biotechnology]

[45,000 KP + Mechanical engineering + Electronic engineering ---> Mechatronic engineering]

[55,000 KP + Electronic engineering + Electrical engineering + Basic physics ---> Information technology]

[75,000 KP + Biotechnology + Medicine + Robotics ---> Biomedical engineering]

[60,000 KP + Information technology + Electronic engineering ---> Software engineering]

[100,000 KP + Mechanical engineering + Electrical engineering + Chemical engineering + Biomedical engineering + Nano science + Electronic engineering ---> Nanotechnology]

[100,000 KP + Information technology + Mechanical engineering + Electronic engineering + Software engineering ---> Combat systems engineering]

And just like that, 725,000 KP has been taken away. Danny had no hesitation, he picked what he wanted, since he was the only one in the base, maintaining and protecting the base by himself would be way too difficult.

Besides, he is in a different world that he knows nothing about, preparing yourself for the worst is normal, after all, danger and fear does indeed come from the unknown and uncertain... Not that it's on Danny's phobia list or anything, rather, there's only a few things that could be considered as one of his phobias, for example, one the worst things he hated: is seeing his finest works of art that he spent so much time and effort he worked on, only to crumble down in front of him as if they were only built in vain.

But really, he just wanted to make his base look: cooler! Awesome! Magnificent! Absolutely epic! Friggin' Legendary! Or any other words and phrases he could come up with to describe the future image of his base...

His passion for building is through the roof!

...

There are many other things on Danny's 'To do list' other than gaining new knowledges and upgrading his base... Such as gaining new skills! If one were to practice something, shooting and aiming for example, they could gain a skill that helps them in this aspect... Another thing that Danny wants to do is look for some resources, preferably minerals and crude oil, he could build an oil refinery mostly thanks to chemical engineering... And of course, to transport those materials, he can't just do it all by himself, so he will need build robotic workers that would do it for him, and also have robots to do some manufacturing... After he gets a stable supply of materials, he would build a small army of robotic defenders, after all, who knew what creatures creep in this world. Building a battalion of robots would be a safe solution for defense... Building sentry guns and extra defenses are another thing for him to do.

'First I'll build a shooting range in one of the spare rooms, so then I can train myself to gain skills related to shooting.'

...

[+35,000 General XP]

Some time later, Danny has finished building the shooting range in one of the spare rooms. It features moving targets, targets that appear from cover, and some stationary targets. There is a control panel that allows him to select the difficulty: Slow; normal; fast, in other words, it means the speed that the moving targets go at, and how long do the targets stay out of cover for. Danny has also decided to put a score board that would show how much he scored. Stationary targets gave 1 to 10 score points, with the distant ones giving 10 to a 100 score points. The targets that appeared from cover would give 5 to 50 score points, whilst the ones in the distance give 20 to 200 points, head shots would give double the amount. Lastly, moving targets gave the highest score points: 50 to 500 points at close range, while the targets at a distant range give a hundred to a thousand score points, head shots give double the amount.

Danny built the score system and the three different mode difficulties to kill time, only when there is nothing else for him to do.

However Danny is here to gain a shooting skill at the moment, so he is going to shoot the stationary targets as it doesn't really matter that much.

Danny equipped himself with the MG21 handgun... And started blasting.

*Bang!*

The explosive sound of gunfire could only be heard in the shooting range... Since the walls are soundproofed... Not like it was necessary, since Danny is the only one living in the base, but he built soundproof walls anyways because he felt like it.

*Clank!* The sound of the bullet hitting the target made of alloy can be heard.

[97 PP required to unlock skill: Precise aim.]

Without stopping, Danny shot more than enough times to get the skill:

______________________________________________

[Skill gained: Precise aim.]

[Skill info: Acts like an aimlock, is only active when stationary, when it is within the effective range of the weapon, and if the target is in sight.]
