Takeru was returning to his classroom alongside everyone else since the entrance ceremony had already ended, but there was one thing he couldn't remove from his mind

"…" <What did they say again at the auditorium?… Oh well, if I remember it or not, that is definitely not going to affect anything down the line>

He was either sleeping or half-asleep through most of the speeches, including the student council president's speech, and that made him completely forget what was said at the entrance ceremony, or even who gave the speech

<Ah! Now that I think about it, why did Nanami-senpai have the keys to the auditorium doors?… … … Maybe she's in the student council or something… Yeah, that makes sense>

After a little while, he returned to his classroom and sat down on his seat. Then after a few more minutes, the school bell rang and the teacher entered the classroom, starting the first school lessons of the year

Some hours later

The school bell ringing signaled that it was now lunchtime, so Takeru picked up his lunch box and left the classroom to search for a quiet spot to eat

<Let's first check the cafeteria>

He made his way to the cafeteria, but seeing the crowd that had formed at the entrance, he immediately decided to go somewhere else. This time he went to the courtyard, and it was filled with couples, friend groups, or guys playing, and Takeru again decided to go somewhere else to eat

<Maybe I should try the rooftop if it's open>

And this time he decided to make his way to the rooftop, and on his way there he ended up meeting with a certain someone with a somewhat dejected face

"Hm?"

"Hm? Ah! Tanaka-san, what a coincidence seeing you here, did you think of eating on the rooftop as well"

Yuriko who noticed Takeru, quickly had her previous dejected look changed into a happy one

"Yeah, I found both the cafeteria and the courtyard to be too noisy with me"

"Yeah, I know that feeling. Sadly the rooftop is a restricted for most students due to one of the previous principals' garden there, so usually, I have to scold students who try to go there"

"Ah… I see…"

Takeru was almost turning away to try to find somewhere else, but Yuriko stopped him

"But!… If you keep me accompany during lunch, I don't mind letting you eat there with me"

Yuriko showed him the same playful and gentle smile that she showed him in front of the auditorium, as she showed him a set of keys that she held with her free hand

"… I gladly accept your invitation" *bows down*

"Great! Then let's go have our lunch"

And they both went up the small set of stairs that led to the rooftop door, then Yuriko unlocked and opened the door, and they both made their way to a bench and sat down beside each other

"That's right, aren't you in the student council, Nanami-senpai?"

"Yes, I am. Why do you ask?"

"I'm just wondering why you aren't accompanied by the other members"

"Aaaahh… That, well…"

Some minutes earlier in Yuriko's classroom

The school bell had ringed just a few seconds ago, Yuriko picked up her lunchbox, got up from her seat, and made her way to a certain classmate of hers

"Daichi-san, do you want to join me during lunch?"

"!? Y-Yuriko-san! Aaaah! Well… You see… I… Errmm… I already have plans on eating lunch with my friend Yamada… So… I'll have to decline"

Daichi said so as he put his hand on one of Yamada's shoulders and made a thumbs up while showing a nervous smile, he was also cold sweating a little bit

"Ah, I see… Then see you later"

Yuriko sounded a bit dejected when she said that, so she then tried to invite the other boys and girls to her classroom, but they all either refused while looking similar to Daichi or fainted in the case of the girls. And after all that Yuriko left the classroom with a slightly dejected look

Back to the present

"And that's what happened"

"I see… So that Daichi-san guy is a coward!"

Takeru said so as if he had made the discovery of the century, to which Yuriko could only look at him with a slightly troubled face and laugh

"I don't think that's the reason"

Then why did he refuse to have lunch with a beautiful girl like you, Nanami-senpai?"

"!?"

Yuriko froze for some seconds with a smiling face filled with surprise, when Takeru called her beautiful as he looked directly at her face

"Nanami-senpai?"

"Ah! Sorry, I'm not used to being called beautiful by someone else face to face"

"You aren't?"

"Yeah, they either call me that through love letters, or in some cases they kept staring at my chest as they confessed to me"

"I see, you must have it rough"

"Hehe, thank you for your concern… And your praise about me"

Yuriko was still feeling a little bashful, but she didn't hate the feeling. And when she occasionally looked at Takeru eating his lunch like a hamster, she couldn't help but smile even more at seeing his cute parts

Meanwhile in Yuriko's classroom

" "…" "

Daichi and Yamada had already finished their lunches and were now using their phones, then Yamada opened his mouth while still looking at his phone

"… You're one hell of a coward, man"

"Hey! All the boys acted the same way as me!"

"Yeah, but none of them are the vice-president of the student council nor have the most time together with Nanami-san, making you the biggest coward of 'em all, heh!"

"Hey!"

"Anyways, here is a little thingy to help the cowardly you to get some courage to talk with Nanami-san"

"Huh? !?!?!?"

Yamada handed Daichi a small envelope, which he picked with some confusion and then he opened it, which allowed him to see a photo of Yuriko in her underwear as she changed from her gym clothes (A/N Notes: Oh no! What could this possibly mean? [Ironic tone])

"!" *Quickly looks around*

Daichi looked around to see if anyone else saw the photo in his hands, put it back in the envelope, and then put it inside his bag. After quickly doing that, he approached Yamada and whispered to him

"*Whisper* How the hell did you get that!?"

"…"

Yamada simply put a pocky on his mouth and then pulled it out as if it was a cigarette and said in a low tone

"I have my methods"

"… *whisper* What the hell dude?"

"*Whisper* Alright fine, with the excuse of saying that I forgot something in the changing room, I managed to get the keys for both changing rooms from one of the teachers, so with that, I put hidden cameras in the girls' lockers, a little before their club training ended, and then I left without leaving a single trace"

"… *Whisper* That doesn't make any sense"

"*Whisper* That's not the point here. Anyways, using that same excuse with another teacher, this time because I had forgotten my phone in the changing room, I did the same thing as before, but this time to retrieve the cameras, and by chance, Yuriko had helped one of the girl's sports clubs"

"*Whisper* And so that's how you got the photo"

"Bingo"

"Still that doesn't make any sense"

"Whatever, my point is, you should use that to try and get used to Nanami-san, so that you can get her fall right into your arms, before someone else take her, like… Ummm… The handsome guy of the basketball club, or the… Handsome guy of the soccer club, or even the… … … Handsome lab coat guy dude… Jesus, why do we have some many handsome guys in this school?"

"I doubt there's anyone who can get closer to her than I am, in a shorter period of time"

"You may be right about that"

"There's no way I can lose in getting Yuriko-san to like me"

And they started laughing, I started laughing, you started laughing, and…

Meanwhile

"Hehe"

"…" *Red from embarrassment*

Yuriko was happily petting Takeru's head, which caused him to make an angry expression as his face turned red from embarrassment which he tried to hide by eating the rest of lunch and using his lunchbox to cover his face

… Someone else had already got closer to Yuriko in less than a day than Daichi had over an entire year
