"She was telling the truth. She did magic........"

Evelyn woke up with cold sweat and she reached for a glass of water. She had that so-called dream again, but now she didn't even consider it a dream. For her, it was more of a nightmare.

She tried hitting her leg, checking if it had recovered. She expected herself to groan, but, surprisingly, it didn't hurt one bit.

She got out of bed and started waking slowly then she did some scratching. She was so confused. "How-why-how did I-impossible!-" she stammered. Finally, she took a deep breath. "HOW DID I RECOVER SO FAST?!"

Her sudden shout made her father thought it was a burglar and he took an empty glass cup, ready to defend his family any moment.

"Who are you?!" he yelled. It was still dark and he couldn't see properly. He started swinging the glass cup around and Evelyn was nearly hit.

"Father, it's me!" Evelyn said. "Evelyn?" her father realized. He switched the lights on and the whole family soon woke up. "Why did you shout?" her father asked.

"Evelyn, you shouted? Are you okay? Do you need--EVELYN!" Evelyn's mother realized she was standing properly without any help.

Evelyn pointed to her leg and said, "Yup, that's the reason I shouted too." Evelyn swore her mother almost fainted. "How.....?" her mother asked. "How?!"

Her mother stumbled to the door and yelled for a nurse to fetch the doctor. After a few minutes, the out-of-breath-doctor was here, and he was followed by two nurses. "What....happened?" the doctor panted.

Mrs. Charming nodded to Evelyn and the doctor's eyes went wide open. After a thorough check-up, the doctor announced, "She had recovered. Maybe we switched the X-ray papers or the X-ray machine is broken, because she couldn't have possibly recovered that fast."

Finally, Mrs. Charming calmed down and she hugged Evelyn. Tears poured out of Mrs. Charming's face. "I'm so happy you're okay," Evelyn's mother whispered in her ear. "I was so worried.

Evelyn gave her mother a warm and gentle smile and hugged her back.

As soon as the Charming family was done packing, they got home and the children got ready for school. "Do we really need to go to school, Mother?" Ethan complained."I'm so sleepy...."

"Yes, you have to go to school. I've packed your lunch already, here," Mrs. Charming said and gave her children each a lunch bag. She kissed Evelyn on her forehead when she gave her her lunch. "If you're not feeling well at school, call me, okay?"

"Yes, mother." Evelyn replied. "Alright, into the car now! It's nearly six, and you have to get to school at seven! You know how far you guys schools are. Its an half hour drive to the kindergarden and another half hour drive to the high-school! Hurry now." Mrs. Charming rushed her children.

Elly, Elton, Etan and Evelyn all got into the car and drove off. Mrs. Charming waved goodbye and went into the living room to relax.

As she closed her eyes for a rest, she accidently fell asleep....

"Ugh...." Mrs. Charming was awoken by someone who was frantically knocking on the door. "Who is it?" she called out.

She quickly opened the door to see an odd couple. The woman was wearing a gown completely made of flowers and the man was wearing a dark red robe. They both were wearing golden crowns and they were carrying wands.

"Um....can I do anything for you?" Mrs. Charming asked. "Oh, right. Would you be a dear and tell us if this is where, um..... Ella Royale lives?" the woman asked.

"I'm sorry, but I have no idea of who Ella Royale is. Maybe you're at the wrong place? Anyways, can I help you with anything else?" Mrs. Charming replied.

"But, erm, I'm sure she's here," the man said and peeped into the house. "Do you live here alone?" he asked, staring at the empty and quiet house.

"Oh, of course not! My husband and my children live here with me, but now my children are at school and my husband is working."

"Oh," the woman said, a little disappointed. "Well, do you have an adopted daughter, then?"

Mrs. Charming's eyes went wide. "Y-yes," she replied. "I-I have an adopted daughter. How do you know? Only my husband and I know about it!"

The couple looked at each other and smiled. "Where did she show up?" the man asked. "She...she showed up on my doorsteps," Mrs. Charming said and tried to recall the story. "A few years ago, I was teaching my son his homework for his school the next day and my husband was working out late. Suddenly, I saw a flash of purple light and I thought it was the lightning and it was about to rain, but then I heard a loud bang and there, she was, on my doorsteps."

"Is she sixteen years old now?" the man asked. Mrs. Charming was quiet for a few minutes, too shocked to speak. "Yes. She is sixteen years old this year. Come in," Mrs. Charming finally said and opened the door widely for the guests.

After the couple was settled on the couch, sipping on the cups of hot tea that Mrs. Charming had given them, Mrs. Charming sat down.

"She's your daughter, isn't she? You're her birth parents, aren't you?" she asked the couple with a heavy heart.

The man sighed. "Yes, we are. We sent her to this world because when she was only a few months old, our world had a war and we....we had to give her up to keep her safe."

"Send her to this world? War? Your world?" Mrs. Charming asked. "What do you mean, 'Your world?'"

"Right, we keep forgetting," the woman said. She pointed her wand at the white teacup she was holding and a yellow blast of light hit the teacup, turning it into a bouquet of flowers.

"Still don't get it?" the man asked when he took a glance at Mrs. Charming's shocked face. He pointed his wand to the teapot and once again, a yellow light came out of the scepter, turning the teapot into butterflies.

"WHAT-HOW-WHY-I-YOU-" Mrs. Charming stumbled across her words. She looked at the flying butterflies in shock and fainted.

"Uh-oh. I think we showed her too much." the man said to the woman. "Yes, indeed we did. She has spilled her tea all over her wonderful dress and she's unconscious! We better fix this," the woman replied.

The woman walked towards Mrs. Charming and blasted her with a pink light. Mrs, Charming's simple dress turned into a gown and the tea was all cleaned up. The man blasted Mrs. Charming with a purple light and soon, Mrs. Charming slowly opened her eyes.

"YOU HAVE FIVE MINUTES TO EXPLAIN OR I'M GONNA FAINT AGAIN!" Mrs. Charming yelled as loud as she could.

"We come from another world, and we are the rulers of a kingdom in another world," the man explained. "We're from a magical world full with fairies, dragons and all of the magical beings. Us fairies can do magic and we are separated into six groups: The Nature fairies, Jewel fairies, Fire fairies, Snow fairies, Water fairies and the most powerful kinds of fairies: Light fairies. We are the ruler of the light fairies and a few years ago, when your adopted daughter was just a few months old, a war between the witches and the fairies was declared and we sent our daughter here to keep her safe, hoping someone good would adopt her. And we believe your daughter is our birth daughter." the woman said.

"That day when your daughter did magic, a map we possess showed us of where your daughter lives, and that's how we got here." the man explained. "In case you're wondering, the map is enchanted too."

Mrs. Charming's eyes went wide and the day that Evelyn told her the story of the snake and came back wearing a gown replayed in her head. "She didn't steal," she whispered. "She was telling the truth. She did magic....."
