Chapter 49: Gratitude

Kumas shoved off the annoying falsified claim of his level being too low and started to go home, however, he was also excited for his skill. He came to a realisation that he did not know how to use the skill in the first place.

'Also, can you use it outside the school?'

He smiled proudly until he had another thought crushing his positive thinking.

'Wait, so does this work?'

He gloomed around after that and thought about how to activate it.

'Open skill.'

He looked at the screen and clicked on it, he looked at it and saw the things he could do, then questions the usefulness of it when he does not know how to use it.

'What the point of having it? It can't be something simple like, use skill x-ray.'

He closed his eyes, sighed and went to the entrance, not realising that he was passing by, he hit his head.

BUMP!!

He banged his head on the wall, then he saw that it worked. The area gave a weird vibe to it, however, he only glanced at it for a split second until it returned to normal.

He blinked repeatedly and tried remembering what it was like when he saw it, but it was not coming back.

He opened the entrance, seeing the empty reception, he left the building.

'Why is the time limit so short? Use x-ray skill.'

[Time limit is used, will take 2 minutes for it to be used again]

He blinked, at it, then sighed, it was weird feeling. At first it was relief, however he realised that 5 seconds every two minutes was not that good.

'Why not ten every 5 minutes.'

He exited the premises of the building and the windows completely disappeared. He glares at the brittle concrete.

'Why does it play mind games with me? I mean, is it alive, or is it just be controlled, what is this?'

That feeling he got was agitation and he used it to fuel his speed. He dashed forward, running up the hill all the way to his house.

It was an odd feeling, it was late, and the sun had set, he looked around a bit and cam to the conclusion his grandparents were not there. He entered the building, it was the same as always, the creaky board that would go off, the leak, even the small little hole when the rats came over- Kumas took care of that problem.

He turned left, he saw two empty spaces where they would be, however, the beds were rolled out, which he found funny as they were hospital beds. It was empty and for the first time ever, he was alone in the room, with nothing but the kitchen facing him.

There was also the couch, however, Kumas was a little excited, the problem was that he did not have any money.

'Well...'

He had a secret stash where he would keep his money, he kept it safe from everyone else. He opened the small hole and unloaded the plank and he moved the sofa a bit. He moved it gently, preventing it from gaining any harm.

He opened it and there was a letter in it. He was at first dazzled by it, he thought somebody stole his money, however it was still there. The pennies and coins and the few notes he had gotten.

He looked puzzled and read it, it was one word after another, and it broke him down faster that a person trying to break a window.

"Dear Kumas'

"This may be the final time we meet, even though we will, well hopefully, have a chat when you arrive and when you leave it will be the last time we meet. It was a shame that your grandpa was the only person that really talked to you, while I was too weak to speak to you, but I always listened. I added something extra to your little stash, hope you enjoy."

'Love you Grandma'

The streams poured down like a waterfall, a beautiful view, a moment you will never forget and you remember the pity for that person, when they had nothing to regret and only had only the greatest wishes for you. The waterfall he created with his eyes was a nice, clean drain.

'I am an idiot.'

Hope you enjoyed
