Chapter 36: Contract

The whole class had their minds swirling around like a tornado.

'Kumas is coming.'

It was a huge surprise, any even to do with money, he would never come, it just gave them a reason to melt away. People started to drip sweat, somebody turned to look at him, he expected the deadliest smile. Instead, he saw a puzzled Kumas, he ignored it, but felt relief.

The teacher kept on going and the class finished, Kumas looked confused the whole time, but before he could leave the room, the teacher called him over. He felt like this was a mistake and she would clear it, but something more surprising happened. She smiled, waving him over, he stayed and looked at her, he never thought anything special about her, nothing now either.

She said in a cheerful voice, "some people want to talk to you about the situation you are in, these people are waiting at the teacher's room, you know where that is now, please behave, I wish you the best."

Kumas blinked, he said, "thank you," even though he did not feel the need to thank her.

'Why did I?'

He started walking out of the classroom and thought about what she said.

'Why was she so happy, is this good, is this bad?'

He shook his head and walked over to the room, he entered the same hallways, he realised that the light still had not been fixed. He shook his head when he saw it and went the other way from the reception. A stroll down and he knocked on the door. No reply. He knocked again and some answered.

It was a man, he wore a suit and tie, both black, with a white shirt. Kumas did not looked down, he kept on looking at the mans face, he had brown hair, going well with his suit. "Hello, you must be Kumas, I presume?"

Kumas nodded, "Yes I am," he kept on standing there, the Man waved his arm in, "please, come in," there was a drop in tone. Kumas heard it and reluctantly entered. Inside were four seats and a coffee table in the middle. A man, almost the exact copy, was sitting on a chair. Kumas did not want to look around the teacher's room, as he had already been inside. He shuddered once but kept his cool. Behind him were kitchen supplies, all for mealtime. He remembered seeing a man throw away a half-eaten biscuit when he was last in here.

'He waisted food, I could have had that.'

Kumas was lost in though but still heard the man when he said, "Please, take a seat." Kumas did not want to so he turned around. He was taller than him, probably both were, however, he asked, "what is this for?"

The man nodded and looked at his partner, it did not give a good feeling to Kumas. The man kept his posture, but swirled around him, "we are going to be asking a few questions and mentioning a few terms that we have come with."

His voice was soft, it made him feel calm, but he bit his lip. Right when the word 'term' was spouted around, he almost spat at him.

'Those idiots, they are from the government, no, the ones running the money section, whatever they are called.'

He sat down, trying not to glare at them. The man cleared his throat and said," ok, so-"

Kumas could not handle it anymore. "Is this something to do with the money my grandparents are getting?"

His glare was revealed, and a window popped up, he ignored it and it slowly disappeared.

'If they say yes, I will beat the life out of them.'

"So you do know," the other one spoke, his face was much clearer and he had subtle differences from the man, a mole on the neck, and styled hair, instead of the straight on the other man had.

"I will be clea-"

"Stop it," the other one put his arm out, to stop his friend from advancing. He looked at Kumas, seeing his face. He gulped, "first, please stop staring at me like that, it nauti- *cough* distracting.'

'Did he almost call me ugly?'

Kumas slid up and let it in. He blinked and comprehended his words first.

'I was staring at him, and I had been-, I got a notification, didn't I?'

He shook his head and sighed.

'Concentrate on this first.'

"Yes we wanted talk to you about the money, we will be cutting it-"

BAAAANG!!!!!

Kumas slammed his hands on the table, his voice got dark, to notifications popped up and unto cord with Kumas, he glared at hem, laser for eyes, they both got startled when they saw and scuttled a bit back.

"What did you say," a deep voice is what got exchanged instead of his normal emotionless voice, it was deep and felt like he had raspberries stuck in his throat, the men felt intimidated, the on the right, with a mole, was getting ready from something once again, the other one intervened.

"I know this may seem rash, but we can stop this, here are the requirements," he kept his cool and spoke normally, he kept on speaking, "all you have to do is sign this contract, and we will be able to stop this problem for you and your family," reached out and gave him the pen, Kumas was unsure what to do, so he did not take the pen, he first looked at the paper, he was glad he did, because if not, then he would have been surprised when the consequences hit him.

"Are you serious? They won't make it without me, I won't be accepting this, I can't," he spoke strongly at them, and they sighed, both in unison. He stopped looking at him and then the man, sighed, "how about this, we will put them in a care home, they get everything helped to them and will stay there forever, is that alright?'

He bit his lip, and the other guy turned, not showing a good side, Kumas scowled at them and then he asked, "where is the contract then," he mentioned his hand for them to give, they clenched their teeth, hiding their anger, he took it out form the bottom of the table and he handed it over, Kumas snatched it from his hand.

Both looked at each other when he was reading," he was not like this when they told us about him, what the hell, I though this was going to be easy, man, they probably lied to us," both whispered to each other, Kumas listened.

'Before I would have not given anything if they were her, but I need to be smart, not let… Open notifications.'

[Level is too low to open]

He twitched his eye behind the paper.

'Who cares, let's look at this.'

Once finished, he placed it down and said," if any funny business happens, then I will be mad, you got that?"

Both just instinctually nodded their heads, then he asked, after, "When were you sent over, yesterday?"

Both did not answer, one of them spoke out, it was the one on the right, "we were told to come here as soon as possible, so we can clear this up, now we have other business, if you excuse us," he stood up, buttoning up his suit, his other friend followed. Kumas let them as he knew the guy's pride was getting tested, let him walk out and when he was alone, he came to a realisation that he was alone in the teachers' rooms.

'What the hell, where are the teachers?'

He glanced around, however; his first thought was a conversation he overheard.

'How many pervs do we have at school, oh man.'

He shook the idiots out of his head, and stood up, he glared menacingly.

'She, did it, she locked me up, so I didn't go to school, maybe, well, I mean she let me out, so, he tilted his head.'

He got up and left the room, he walked all the way back to class. He thought about the contract and what to do, as he was walking, he overheard people speaking.

"Wait, so she isn't working here anymore, why?"

"Apparently she was found out by the government by doing something shady."

"Aaah man, that sucks."

Kumas asked, getting used not being bullied, "Who are you talking about?"

The pair stared at him, one replied, "Oh the receptionist left."

Kumas spoke his mind," well that sucks," he nodded his head," thanks-"

"I know right, it sucks so much, she was the only thing that kept us going so we could go to school."

His friend brushed his shoulder, whispering to his ear," hey man, leave him, he is that guy, you know."

The guy looked puzzled at him, and Kumas looked at him puzzled as well. In unison the pair looked at each him and asked, "Who am I/ is he?"
