Chapter 30: Windy

Kumas looked puzzled alone in the room, he stood out of the shed, and it was a fairly bright day, with the clouds clouding over. He walked slowly out of the clambered area, leaving behind the equipment in the corner, the restraints and the battered door and chair. He was immediate greeted by the great green grass. The wind blew once again, brushing his clothing around a bit. He turned right, seeing the school building in its closed view.

He bit his teeth, thinking he was late. He pressed himself to run forward, even though he had been captured by a person he had me to meet only a few days ago. He did not notice it before hand; however, the grass had the morning dew, he did not see the beautiful diamonds just sparkling away, enough to blind somebody.

He just kicked them away, in a rush to make to his class, but praise to see, once running on the concrete, making his feet echo. It was loud but it was enough to gain attention.

'People will listen to me, should I care?'

He was contemplating of whether it was safe for him to be here, however, his eyes goggled a class in the landing. He moved closer, as if he was meeting a scared animal for the first time. He crept up a lot more, almost on his tiptoes, there were no curtains so people would be able to see him, but only if he made a tremendous sound.

'The window isn't open; they shouldn't hear me if I am not taking loud.'

He was right next to the wall and slowly looked up. After metres on his left was the door. Why didn't he walk through the door? It was blocked, locking him out, the teachers do this procedure, and he knew from person painful experience. While still under, he finally took a glance over at the window.

But before he could take a quick look, he heard a sound. What ever it was, it made him immediately clammer back to his pothole. He shook, his head and placed his sweaty freezing hands onto his fore. He moved it around, twisting every bit until he sighed and crawled away.

'What am I thinking? People il think I am creepy, it's not weird for me to come in late in a lesson, I-I did it before.'

He bit his lip hard, giving a strong dark expression, one he passed the brick wall, he pounced up and looked around for the other door. He noticed to his left, as he was turning to the other side of the school, going to the open door, he saw a cloud on the floor.

'Fog?'

He stared at it for a split second, it was not his first seeing it, as he lived pretty high up. He tilted his head and looked around, seeing something unusual to him.

'Isn't there a lot of fog?'

He was at the corner, turning int where there was another window. It was secluded by itself until the building turned in again. The window normally had a class in it but from his view, he did not see the full picture.

'Man, I have to duck for that as well.'

He slowly moved down, as he did, he breathed out air, to his shock, a cloud formed from it, it was a cosy cloud, warm and felt nice, until it dissipated in the air. He blinked a bit but what came out of his mouth. He looked around and noticed that the sun was hiding again by the cold clouds. He tighten his fists and shook his head.

'It is getting colder, also…'

He turned up to the other window, he never checks inside the room. He starts to vibrate a bit as he cautiously raised himself from the rough concrete. The grey colour went well with the silence he heard, and he finally glanced at it.

He stepped back, making his heard pump blood around, his hands were shaking, both from the piercing shock, and the depleting temperature, it was something he did not like at all. He simply ran, sprinting was not an option for him, as his lungs started to hurt, the sun was not hiding anymore, it was left. Kumas turned the corner. Seeing the light of the windows, only a few metres away. He pushed through and opened the door, slamming it shut behind.

When he breathed out, the cosy cloud left his mouth and started to melt down into a small puddle, crouching into a sad sob.

'Why was that window cracked?'
