Chapter 17: listening

To describe the lay out of the school, it had only one floor, and was a huge box, with fences surrounding it in a rectangle. The hallways had all the rooms connected, but it had a few secrets, like the places the students can't reach, or are not meant to.

There was a second small floor but that was only used for storage, music lessons and for the school council president.

There were also a few places where you could sneak of to do things. While Kumas was walking over there, Kumas saw the door which is the P.E storage, people would enter through the teachers help to either get a ball to play during lunch or break, or simply for P.E, as where they do it is on the field which is on the outside, or on the black concrete landing- which is directly touching the school, closer than the field.

He had been locked in it, trapped multiple times, no way of getting out and the people on the other side laughed about it. He did nothing and just simply became on with the darkness.

He moved to the door and saw it being unlocked, the white door against the white wall, opened slowly. He heard noises which sounded weird, so he just walked in and even though it was dark, he saw something he wished he had not seen.

Two people were making out.

He was startled, then took a breath.

'Good I didn't say anything'

He looked at them showing a reactionless face, it kept on dropping and he closed the door before they successfully took off all the clothes.

'Weirdos'

He had seen the two of them in the classroom he had been in.

'They are a year younger than me, seriously, can't they act natural or do it somewhere else'

He remembered another thought. He shuddered by it, "eeeeh, at least it wasn't one of those lot, I swear."

He entered the dining room as if it was nothing. He stared at the area, and he felt like as if he had been abducted by aliens. Everything as much nicer. He just moved in and saw people enjoying the food, talking, or if outside they played games.

He heard the noises through his ears, he could feel every vibration, even though people could not see him, they did not bump into him.

He felt all the vibrations and smelt the food, the food smelt supreme as always, as he never had any money, he would never buy any of it, which he felt fine with as he would be put through this torture every day.

He could have avoided the lunchroom, if he had a death wish.

He looked around, avoiding people by slipping through the benches and the free space. He was turning his head everywhere to get an idea where people are as he had to move, not others.

He then just sat against a table close to the wall which people weren't using a lot. He kept on looking around when he overheard something. He was waiting for a specific person: Billy.

'That guy, he should have- '

"Why did the bully leave?" A girl, a year younger to him said, he recognised her as she was the person trying to open the window. He listened to her as she spoke to somebody. They were walking away so he followed carefully. They talked all the way to the field.

"Apparently, he was chasing somebody, and he punched Jim," she whispered the final part, scared he might hear.

"Why are you scared of him, he won't do anything to us."

"But Billy might, and I am also scared of Silvy and Cindy, even though they are a year above us, they practically control the whole school."

She looked down, shuddering about it.

"He left the school because he was 'bored'," she did quotation marks, Kumas smiled at her confidence. He leaned against the bench they were walking past at. He smiled, happy that the guy has left.

"He left because he was scared, don't act like it, ok?"

She nodded her head, "you do realis what they do, they will torture you," she looked petrified at her friend, her smile depleted.

They stopped moving and Kumas sat down, thinking about what she said.

'I was traumatised because of that torture, it was terrible'

He slouched over, the metal bench was black, and the wind blew, the girls looked at each other.

'Billy really did something bad and made people scared to be in this school, but he only rules with it.'

He got up and stared at the sky, it was a bit cloudy, and the sun was shining elsewhere, he could see the aqua well.

'I have to survive, I should stop getting bullied, I am not scared of him anymore'

He clenched his fist, biting his lip, clenching his whole weak body.

'I will survive in this school for my family, and I could do that if he simply left.
