Chapter 16: Difference

Kumas felt like his whole life was a lie. He saw the whole hallway normal. It was weird but he was happy, he could not explain the position he was in as he thought he was in a different school compared to what he had been before.

'What is this?'

He looked in dishonesty as he walked down the hallway, lockers that were a bright dark-green colour, with silver locks on them, some broken, some used, some not having any locks.

He looked flabbergasted, he looked at the ceiling, it was dirty, having a yellow layer of dust. He was a bit creeped out, but he thought it was much worse.

'Where is the deadly- '

The popular guy he saw from his dream appeared. He was tilting his head and blinking at the same time, still holding the piece of paper.

He walked up to him, but he was gone. He remembers what he said. He looks at the piece of paper. He scrunched it up and threw it in the bin, he went and started admiring the building. There was an analogue clock. It was almost striking half past eleven.

'Was I really that long outside?'

He walked down the hallways and the bell rung; he was not startled as h was too busy admiring the hallway. Students would be arriving trough the spotless place. They sprawled out of the classroom, which were station in his left (in between the lockers) and his right (having much more space, sprawling out faster).

A few barged into him, he moved to the side, seeing everybody pass him. Eve thou he was invisible, he felt stares on him, they may have been accident, they may have been a feeling.

'Have I been seeing it like that?'

He started moving to a class, any class he could find. He entered the one closest to him, there were students already coming in.

'That was fast.'

He did not dash in, he waited, then when an opportunity arose, he swiftly entered. The classroom where equivalent to each other, except for the posters put up by the teacher and their equipment.

There were cupboards at the back, had a carpet coving the whole place, blending well with the white table. They were alone rather than being together, however, that did not stop the children from talking, even though separated.

'If I was in here.'

He slowly turned to look at a table in the corner, it was left alone, nobody touched it. It was truly isolated from all of them, even though it had other tables next to it, but it was left alone.

It could have been good if you wanted to be left alone, but the darkness that crept up from behind it said otherwise. He noticed that the teacher was getting ready, he wanted to take a seat and instinctually, out of all the free chairs that were position at the back, he picked the one at the corner.

He saw the whole lesson, it went fast, they always did for him. He would concentrate so hard that in snap, he would leave the corner, get battered and move on.

If he was lucky, he would not get hit. Well, luckily for him, this lesson, he just listened to the teacher with no interruptions.

'When last did that happen'

He did enjoy it too much and almost got caught as a student tried to open the window, but she did not swerve behind to open the window, in front of the desk, with out touching it, she stretched out her arm at the handle, and pulling it, almost tripping.

When the lesson ended, the teacher stayed in her room, he glanced at her to see what she was doing. She grabbed out a pen and started to write something on her desk. The keyboard and monitor where in the way so she pushed them aside and he saw that she was marking the work that they gave in, he had seen them walk up to her first, then they left.

He got up and walked out of the room quietly, luckily for him, there as a wooden door stopper so he just simply walked through.

It was lunch time at twelve thirty, he despised that time as it was forty-five minutes of constant hell. He would get immediately abuse by just entering the dining hall.

He bit his lip by entering it, it was positioned at the end of the hallway, he had another choice though. In the middle of the hallway, there was a third way, it had another hallway, which had the same layout except that the rooms were less abundant because of the spacing. There was the exit at the end.

He could see it from the far and he had the chance. He turned though the whole place was hell, but now he sees it as a typical school. He wanted to give it a chance and he walked to the deadly dining hall.
