HOLDING ON TO THE MEMORIES.

It's been almost a year since I lost my family in the car crash but it's still strange that they did not let me see their dead bodies even though I was in the same car with them. But nothing happened to me not even a scratch or memories of what actually happened. Of course I only enjoy those scary nightmares, where the hell were we even heading to that night. We didn't even own a car and why were my parents behaving so strange that day. They promised to explain what was happening after we arrived where we were going. Yet we never reached the so called destination together, my parents are f**king dead they left even without a goodbye.

I remember beging those officers to let me hold a funeral for but it all turned to deaf ears. I never got to give them a proper send off maybe their souls are still wondering around and that's why they are not protecting me from wherever they are. Maybe they are mad at me for being a bad daughter and that's why I have been suffering. I can't even count how many foster homes I've been taken to, they just keep returning me or call me a psychopath. Some just wanted to use and abuse me that made me run away from them.

I'm just so tired of this damn cruel world my parents died but I never got to mourn them. Even though we weren't rich and I couldn't have a normal childhood it was all okay as long as they were there with me every day and it made everything better. But just in the blink of an eye I lost everything but didn't even have a right to complain or blame anyone or do anything about it. Maybe I've just gotten used to the pain that the only thing I can feel is numbness. She was scared of forgetting their faces how would she face them in the next world if she did so. She had visited their previous residents and there wasn't even a trace of them ever existing or living there. It was all gone not even a surveinior but only the memories and she promised to hold onto them tight and never let go.

If not for the work that she got in the bakery she would still be on the streets. Now she got herself a boarding house and she can at least eat and dress up. She is no longer being transferred from one foster home to another like an unwanted package. Her luck also seems to have doubled she no longer meets those jerks who always chase after her while heading home from work. Even though they bully her a little bit in the bakery it's not something that she can't tolerate. She talked to herself while tossing around her small bed without any sleep while holding her neckless it has already become her habit she is used to being her only companion. It's the only memory of her family that was left with her.

The memories of what happened earlier on in the VIP room in the morning came flooding in her mind. She had almost forgot how to smile and talk, her vocabulary had always consisted of " yes sir/madam and sorry". Even though she was kidding herself she wanted to be selfish with him and believe in the story of Cinderella and he was his prince charming. Yet reality was so cruel she knew he only saw her like a puppet and he was only teasing her for fun. Sofia didn't dare to convince herself otherwise but she only wanted to drown in the feeling of being recognized as a living being.

....................,

Back at the pack house Dolan was welcomed by the angry ex-alpha who was seated in a sofa in the living room. "You've finally decided to show up," his father said angrily. He only shrugged his shoulders and sat down opposite him, thats how they've been living ever since he can remember. They have never sat down and have a conversation like father and son, it's always about businesses or the pack between them and in many occasions he is always getting some scoldings over trivial things and today wasn't any different. He just sat there waiting for the scoldings to get over with. He was so exhausted that he didn't have the energy to argue with his father at the moment. So he just left him to rumble on and on, his words only entered through one ear and left through the other.

"This conversation isn't over young man we shall continue tomorrow," those are the only words that he heard. He watched as his father left the house and he climbed up to the fourth floor which is always occupied by the alpha and his family which was only his father and him. The third floor was occupied by the beta's and the gammas family. The second floor was the offices and the first floor was occupied by some warriors and guests whenever they came.

They had a few omegas who would oftenly come and do the cleaning and leave. No one was allowed to linger around the pack house more than necessary. They were only summoned when necessary, while other members of the pack lived in apartments or boarding houses as long as it was convenient for them. Maya and Stella the previous beta's mate assisted each other in holding up to the Luna's duties within the pack since their alpha was so stubborn to find himself a mate.

On the other hand Flacos was trying to plead with his furious mate to open up the door for him. And just like he had predicted he was in the dogs house again and it was his alpha's fault. He tried reaching him for some scoldings through the mind link but he had shut it. He always went through the consequences alone even if it's not his fault.
