Chapter 2 "Expedition"

After the Initial confusion all the nations in Asia send representatives to the Capital of the Philippines Manila to give reports and figure out what exactly happened.

The first one to speak among all the representatives was General Douglas Mc Arthur who as the highest US Navy Officer came personally to get a better picture of the current situation.

" As many of you might have noticed we are in an unexpected situation. I will now tell you what I know. Shortly after the Earthquake that was only noticed by people at the borders of the Asian and Oceanic tectonic plates we had lost contact with all nations outside of Asia and Oceania. Can anyone else confirm something similar? "

All the other representatives confirm similar occurances. After going through some thoughts General Douglas Mc Arthur continued.

" We send two fleets in total. One towards the US Mainland and another to try and find South America. Both came back reporting that they haven't found any landmasses in the area where the two continents should be. Has anyone else send searching parties out? "

The Russian Governor Dimitri stood up and started reading out a report.

" We have gotten reports from locals stating that West Russia simply disappeared. Normaly we would call them idiots that were drunk but these reports came in so large numbers that we send Scout Planes. We they came back they said that all land beyond the Urals is gone. "

Dimitri sat back down onto his seat.

A British Navy Officer stood up next.

" This situation is indeed very troubling.Espacially with India declaring independence. But what are we to do now? "

Now a Australian official started speaking.

" We should send a fleet to look for Africa and Europe since as far as I can tell the Russian Empire only send a couple Scout planes and we still don't know if Africa is also gone. Maybe a combined taskforce? Who would support the idea and provide ships?"

General Douglas Mc Arthur said he agrees but has no ships that far West.

Kaga said that the Sakura Empire agrees with the task Force and that it was willing to send two Destroyers that were currently sitting in port near Iran.

Australia, New Zealand, Afghanistan, Nepal and Buthan all agreedwith the idea but had no ships in the area or at all. While India refused to partake declaring their current war of independence against the British as said reason while the Dutch East Indies stayed neutral about the matter.

Lastly Russia and Britain who agreed and had the most ships in the area.

Russia agreed to send four Destroyers and two light cruisers while the British provided a heavy cruiser , a destroyer and an Aircraft Carrier

In total the taskforce was compromised out of:

- 2 Marti Class light Cruisers (Russian Empire)

- 1 Minsk Class Destroyers (Russian Empire)

- 1 Fubuki Class Destroyer (Sakura Empire)

- 1 Momi Class Destroyer (Sakura Empire)

- 1 County Class Heavy Cruiser (British Empire)

- 1 Clemson Class Destroyer (British Empire)

- 1 Eagle Class Carrier (British Empire)

A total of eight ships from three different nations set course towards the former African continent.

The Taskforce was lead by the Russian Admiral Nikolay Kuznetsov.

After the Fleet has moved for 1.5 days towards the west Admiral Nikolay Kuznetsov decided to send a few aircraft from the HMS Eagle as recon.

Soon 10 Sea Gladiator Mk. II were in the sky and starting their search for land.

Half a day later the last of the Scout Aircraft returned with one of the pilots reporting an unknown landmass towards the west.

Nikolay Kuznetsov was reliefed that this expedition wasn't a complete waist of time and recources but one thing had him concerned. The pilot that reported the landmass also said that he was fired upon not by AA weapons but by a dragon. Of course Nikolay Kuznetsov wouldn't believe that unless he saw it himself but considering the disappearance of multiple continents he began to wonder while his fleet started approching the unknown landmass.
