"Do you mean to make a member of the royal family kneel before you?" said the king as he rose from his seat.

This one movement from him was enough to make the entire room grow cold. Adam felt that a giant was staring at him with the intent to crush him. This caused Adam to immediately bow.

"The only thing I wish to do your Majesty is teach a lesson about pride to those in my age group." Adam said

The king stood for a moment before nodding and taking his seat. He wanted to see how capable this young one was since he felt different from the rest.

"If that is really the case, the she accepts and will take her punishment with grace benefiting the royal family." said the king while looking at his daughter.

She simply nodded at what her father said and readied herself. Adam stood without taking much of a battle stance. It was clear to the audience that he didn't think much of the princess' abilities.

"Before we begin, I would like everyone in attendance to forgive me in advance. I will be treating this seriously." said Adam before giving the butler the signal that he was ready and closing his eyes.

"Begin." said the butler.

The princess immediately began to prepare a spell as she moved forward to attack Adam. Her thinking process was that all she had to do was get close and use one spell to knock this fool over. However, everything happened before she could even finish her spell or take more than a few steps.

At her third step, Adams eyes snapped open. The air began to quake, the magic lights flickered and the room felt like it was filled with sharp blades. Gwen froze on the spot and collapsed to the floor. She was laying on the floor gasping for air and sweating all over. The only thing she could think of was what had just happened.

"Adam Saints is the winner." said the butler.

The whole room was silent even though Adam had already retracted his aura. The first person to speak was the princess as she struggled to even sit up due to how hard she was shaking.

"What magic was that?" she asked with a shaking voice.

"I didn't use any." said Adam.

The princess didn't say anything else as she got down on her hands and knees. Before she could get all the way into position, she was being pulled to her feet by Adam.

"It is clear that you learned your lesson. There is no need finish this part." Adam said.

"Young man, I have a vague idea as too what it is that you were trying to teach just now. If you would, please let the rest know what it is." the king said.

"Yes your Majesty. The lesson I was trying to teach is two fold. One part is to alway gauge your opponent before assuming that you are superior and the other is humility as there is always someone stronger that your current self." stated Adam.

"Adam Saints, follow me if you would." said the king after nodding to what Adam had just said.

"Yes your Majesty." Adam said as left the room with the king.

"What's wrong?" Nell asked her sister after noticing that she was extremely pale.

"He really didn't cast a spell." Elaine said with spooked expression.

"If he didn't use a spell then what was that? Even from this distance I felt like I was going to collapse to the floor." Nell asked.

"What you witnessed was an aura. One of the most terrifying auras that you could come by on a battlefield as well. The person that wields that aura with that strength is nothing short of a monster. I fear that he will be crushing this generation under his feet before he even reaches adulthood." said their family butler as he appeared behind them.

"What aura was that then?" Nell asked.

"You first should know that aura is actually the second stage of what is called intents. The stronger an intent is, the stronger it is when it is developed into an aura. An aura can be anything really as it occurs naturally around a person. The intent that is cast through your aura as well as your strength of will also changes its effects. The aura he used was killing aura, and some can truly use it to kill with." Stated the butler.

Elaine gazed in the direction that Adam had gone with a concerned look. She could only hope that he would be fine as she was interested in getting to know him and uncover his secrets.
