DEFEATING AWAKENED ONE AFTER THE OTHER, A GREAT OPPONENT
Jake dodged the attacks from the awakened while trying to get in punches. He knew he could take a head on assault, but the situation wasn't optimal for such an approach.
He dodged the attacks continously and concentrating on hitting a single spot continously to make a long term impact and injuring the enemy slowly.
The power imbued within each one of Jake's attacks was powerful and aimed to destroy the opponent severely.
He chose the right point of the lower abdomen as his Target and after he managed to get in like 50 hits, he made a sudden move and gave a devastating blow, breaking all the bones of that area and making the awakened puke blood.
One on his knees,the awakened had to face a ghastly blow from Jake on his face, resulting in him not only loosing conciouness, but also fracturing his jaws.
The opponent was out and Jake didn't take a break before turning to the next opponent. He defeated 8 more before eventually stopping to pick the last opponent.
Fighting with normal people wasn't fun anymore. Jake looked around and no matter where his eyes went, people subconsciously moved backwards.He was like a predator picking off his prey.
That was when he managed to see another person standing at the far end of the stage, and 5 people on the ground around him. They weren't moving which basically meant they had been eliminated.
"Now that is a good opponent."
Just when Jake started to go towards him, another message popped up.
"Emergency Combat Mission: Fight and survive
The host has come against a powerful opponent. The host is to fight and try to eliminate him to win the round.
Objective: Beat the enemy(0/1)
Reward: Mana +1, Endurance +2"
Jake was shocked. To think that such a side mission would suddenly pop up with such high rewards just to fight against a single opponent. Jake felt nervous with every step he took towards the person.

"Incredible. I need to recruit that boy into the army. " The man in the counter said in a screaming voice. This was a talent he couldn't miss on.
He saw Jake walking towards another guy and when he saw who it was, the man's expression suddenly changed.
"It can't be."
The man pressed a button the table and immediately asked for the list of participants and the identity of the candidate.
When the documents were presented his expression became serious.
"You seriously sent your apprentice to this location." The old man said in a very serious voice.
"This is bad. Both of them are powerful talents, yet if they clash, I don't think Jake can hold out. That man is someone who has the ability to train his disciple to the very peak of human limits." The man said to himself.
The next moment he asked the personel on the ground to prepare a medical team in case of emergency. He couldn't let anything happen to Jake.
Rogers was informed about the situation and he was seen rushing towards the ground.

"Hey you. Would you mind having a fight with me?" Jake said in a funny manner. The person opened their eyes and looked at Jake with surprise.
"Why didn't you attack if you wanted to have a fight?"
"Well your eyes were closed and it would have been disadvantageous for you if I attacked." Jake said.
"That is quite thoughtful of you. Did defeating all those mongrels gave you the confidence to fight me?" The person asked.
"No. It was my curiousity. "Jake said before vanishing as his leg appeared directly on top of the figure, who raised his hands to guard against it.
Jake expression turned from fun to excitement.He was finally fighting another opponent who could match his strength after such a long time.
"You are quite fiesty, but that much strength would help you win against me." The person said with a smile.
"Is that so?" Jake said. The next moment his leg forcefully pushed down , crushing the man's bones. The expression over the man's face changed into seriousness as he jumped from ground to avoid the attack.
The floor cracked when Jake's foot landed on top of it.
The man attacked the next moment and the clash began. The participants couldn't even see the movements of those two people. They were attacking each other with such speed that , their movements were a complete blur to the audience.
Only the recruiters were able to see the movements clearly. It was a breathtaking fight. Jake attacked and so did the other guy.
Jake turned his body to rotate and attack the left side, but the figure dodged and attacked Jake's chest while using energy.
Jake hastily try to guard against it, but the attack managed to break through his defense.
His body was blasted back and his bones cracked a bit.
Jake was surprised on seeing his bones crack a bit. The attack was actually that powerful. The energy he expirienced a situation like this even when he faced against other awakened.
"You managed to take a hit. Nice." The man continued to attack while using his awakened skills.
Jake was forced into becoming defensive, while taking the hits. He initially tried to take it with his body, but the impact was too big for him to handle.
"I guess I will have to use it." Jake said as he coagulate mana into his right hand.
The man rushed in to attack, while Jake activated his peripheral vision to dodged to the side and found a gap in his defense.
He layered mana all around his fist and attacked the man's chin with all his force.
The impact was so powerful that the man did a 360 degree flip mid-air before falling down unconscious.
The entire audience looked at the situation with shock in their eyes.

"How did he do it?" The man from the observation chamber was speaking to himself.
"How could his physical body be so strong? Did he actually managed to train until the peak of human level as mentioned in the myths?" The man was constantly speaking to himself trying to make sense of the situation.
