The Battle God! (Part 2)

**3rd Person POV**

[Arthur's base stat optimized equivalent to his enemy Sakamoto Ryōma. – 'Terra' the will of the world is watching.]

[All weapons banned initiate except for the sword. - ??? is watching.]

'So they exist?'

Arthur frowned as he didn't expect deities to exist within GOO. He had suspicion earlier during his dragon hunt, but he didn't anticipate his presence caught their interest. A piece of good and bad news for him, depending on the god/goddess found him interesting. 

He took a deep breath did his things, and took some precautions since not all of them were jolly fellow. Myth history from his past life is already a living testament. Their behavior and attitude toward mortals added, the fanatics and devotees in the fray.

Samurai Warrior opened his eyes and bowed his head before he made a quick draw stance likewise Arthur bowed his head in a sign of respect before taking the katana from his inventory.

"Haa!" 

Sakamoto made the first move and performed his quick draw, but Arthur mimicked him and countered his quick draw by doing the same before he reversed the direction of the blade. Sakamato raised his eyebrow and used the scabbard to block the blade!

Arthur's lips twitched and he didn't see that coming and wanted to complain since he didn't think a sword sheath could be used as parry.

CLANG!

Two curved swords meet in the center and both users put their strength, but Arthur is the dominant one as he pushes his sword harder. Sakamoto gritted his teeth as he saw a shadow with a bear and goat pushing him to a disadvantageous position. He moved backward, but Arthur chased him with a heavy strike only for him to tumble sideward and his strike left behind a cracked ground!

Sakamoto took a deep breath before doing another quick draw stance and Arthur frowned as he discovered something different from the way he breathed and gripped his hilt. He took a deep breath as he put everything to practice all of the techniques he learned in a single strike.

BOOM!

"Ha! Flying Swallow?! Is that a Sword Technique exclusive to Samurai and Ronin Class? So I can learn other battle techniques as long I have the foundation?" He took a deep breath in amazement at his discovery.

He can learn various battle techniques or exclusive skills of any class as long as he can learn the basics and foundation of the target spell!

'Holy Crap! That was broken!' He thought.

Soon, the whole place was distorted.

Arthur took a deep breath and discovered himself on the vast battlefield. He looked around only to see vast seas of corpses. He looked in the distance and saw the man standing in the mountain of corpses.

'The 1st Battle God? How? Did a bug happen?' He thought. He complained inside his head since that poor fellow didn't tell him about facing the 1st Battle God. 

In reality, the Player or NPC won't face the 1st Battle God to inherit his legacy. Things changed only after the soul remnants saw his immense potential and decided to sacrifice his whole existence.

In short, he bet his life and legacy on Arthur by unlocking the full potential of the Battle God by facing two random peak warriors and his past self.

The 1st Battle God looked at him and kicked the ground, causing all corpses to be destroyed. Arthur grinned, and his eyes changed color before he used the Flash Step and swept the curved sword in his direction.

Only for the Battle God to counter him with a kick, sending the corpse from the ground toward his direction. Arthur tumbled in sideward. The Battle God took advantage of the situation. He starts thrusting the spear continuously in his direction.

Arthur performed capoeira by spinning his whole body and kicking him from his chin. Before he did a flip and landed on both his legs, Battle God looked at him with a crazed expression. He wiped the bloodstain on his lips.

Battle God and Arthur clash once again, but Arthur slowly starts mimicking the Battle God's combat style and replicates some of his techniques to be compatible with his combat system. They fought for more than an hour, yet the confrontation had no winner. Arthur started to mirror him and even developed further!

The Battle God stopped and looked at him with a smile. He looked at Arthur with satisfaction in his face. Since he managed to maintain his sharpness. Battle God is further satisfied since the inheritor of his legacy isn't bad!

"Good! Job! You're qualified to inherit my legacy as long as you survived my last attack."

"Yes! Bring your worst, Senior!" Arthur heard his words and took a deep breath.

"{Mythos Collapse}!"

Battle God screamed his strongest attack turning all weapons, coming to life, and changing into a single weapon. The golden humanoid struck the sword in his direction.

Arthur laughed as his blood boiled in excitement and released his trump card!

"ROOAARR!!"

Arthur released the partial transformation and became a humanoid dragon with a dark scale in both arms and bat wings on his back. (A/N: Appearance is like SSJ4 instead of furs, his body is covered with black scale!)

BOOM!

Once the smoke was cleared two people were standing and Arthur was fully injured like he would fall in a matter of seconds. Battle God looked at him and showed a satisfied smile before laughing to his heart's content.

"HAHAHAHA! Looks like you won… Go forth! Show the true might of the Battle God!"

"Thank you…" Arthur watches him slowly turning into dust.
