"This would be our last mission, so what's your plans after this kids, cause am not sure you would be staying with this old man"

Blade said with a smile, although he has been harsh in their training and said harsh words to them, he was still like a father especially to Shadow, who lost his parents at a very tender age, he couldn't even remember them anymore.

"Yo old man, don't kick the bucket too soon when we leave" Shadow said with a lonely smile, but he was still happy to be finally free.

"Mr Blade we will come visit, and don't miss us too much" Ghost said giggling

"Well enough of the jokes, our target this time is a group of politicians who didn't agree to a proposal made by the union, the names of the politicians were withheld, only the location was stated, our job is to kill everyone there, it should be a massacre, the job sounds alot dangerous and a little fishy, just be prepared kids, we leave in two days" Blade told them before walking away.

Both Shadow and Ghost had things to say to each other but they wanted to focus on the mission, afterwards they would gain their freedom and say what ever they wanted to say to each other.

The day came for the mission came, everybody was ready, Blade was feeling a bit wary about the mission but he couldn't know why.

"Let's go, every body should be extremely careful, I have a bad feeling about this" Blade told them in a wary voice.

"You are getting old, I can't believe am hearing such from you" Shadow said smirking at Blade.

"Well it seems so, alright let's be careful" Blade said with a little laugh.

They all went to the location, due to his wary feeling, Blade used heat signature to scan the big hall, they were currently outside of the building a few meters away, only to find 6 heat signatures, they was no sign of hidden bombs too 'I think am really getting old, but aren't they too little for all of us, well you never can be too careful' he thought before he gave the order for all of them to enter.

The three of them entered there was no sound in less than 2 minutes the six bodies gathered there were killed, without resisting as soon as they died, everywhere in the large hall was lit up with a bright light and about 200 men all in black, with black mask, they stormed in with guns in their hands, they all looked like military trained men.

A voice came out from nowhere, when the trio was sorrounded.

"Blade my man, I don't know why the higher-ups wants to use such a method to kill a puny assassin like you, but it seems you have passed your usefulness, you know too much and they want you dead, I think this is over kill thou, I have always hated you" A man who seemed to be the leader of the men came out and started talking, he seems to be a general and he also knew blade.

"Falcon" Blade roareeeeed, this lead to the start of the battle before the man who seemed to be a general was able to shout fire, a bullet hole was on his head, don't forget Blade, Shadow and Ghost can use guns just that they don't usually do, Blade fired a bullet towards Falcon, this left the men momentarily stunned, Ghost used this opportunity and threw poisoned needles at 5 different black masked men, in the middle of their eyes that was visible, they all fell and died, bullet were now being fired in all directions, they were not gods they could only parry the ones they could and dodged the ones they couldn't, Blade used a sword and a gun, a sword in one hand and a gun in the other, Ghost was using her sword to dance in the battle field, taking a life with a swing, it was a blood bath, Shadow was using daggers in both hands he killed one, two,three, he side dodged a bullet, he dodged from right to left, it was like he was being showered by bullet rain, a bullet pierced his right shoulder, the rest two weren't having a good time either, there were blood all over Blade's face weather it was his or the enemie's own nobody knew, there were visible bullet wound on Ghost thigh, their battle prowess was getting low, the battle lasted for a full hour due to different shooting, there were also friendly fire from the masked men, before the last man, was killed his eye socket was filled with shock and disbelief, his last words were "impossible" before he died.

"We did it" Shadow said enthusiastic with two bullet wounds, one on his right shoulder and one on his left leg, after the adrenaline left his body he felt the pain but before he could talk about the pain and how they were lucky to survive battle in one piece, Ghost slumped and fell, blood was oozing from her stomach and her thigh.

Shadow saw this and all the pain and happiness he felt earlier disappeared, he quickly rushed towards Ghost and held her "Stay with me, Fei please stay with me" Shadow said with tears all over his eyes.... Ghost smiled, the smile looked really painful to Shadow "Can you grant me one wish Joshua" Ghost said with a tear and the frail voice was so painful, and her face looked so sorrowful and pale.

Blade who looked like the devil with blood all over him, couldn't help but quiver, was he in range or in pain, or was it both, it was hard to say.

"Don't speak, we would get you safely out of here and I will grant you any wish you want" Shadow said while holding the bleeding stomach.

"I have always loved you Joshua, since I was a kid, I thought we would be free after this and spend our lives together, could you grant me a kiss" Ghost said with a voice that could make someone cry.

Shadow immediately bent and kissed her on the lips with tears all over his face saying "I have always loved you too" Ghost looked the happiest before her hands went limp, she stopped breathing, her death seemed peaceful...

"Ahhhhhhhhhhh" Shadow screamed at the top of his lungs, it was a scream of great pain and sadness, he was crying like a little kid, the tears couldn't stop flowing, even Blade couldn't look anymore, they were assassins and could die anytime but they were betrayed, it was laughable...

"We can't stay here for long" Blade said to Shadow with a hoarse voice.

"Hahaha ahhh ahaha" Shadow laughed like a maniac "Who are these bastards that you call the higher-ups?, it seems you know the man called Falcon, tell me who are they?" Shadow said sounding like he was crazy.

"You don't wanna know kid"
