30 Wouldn't Change A Thing

Hannah's POV

I waited outside of the Terrence Towers where Hwan had asked me to meet him.

The chilly New York air blew against my skin, and I impatiently checked the time on my cell phone. Hwan had instructed me to be here by 6 pm, but it was currently 6:10 pm and he was nowhere to be found.

Where the hell was he?

The sudden chime of my phone put me out of my thoughts, and I checked to see a text from an unknown number. For a moment, my heart stopped, my mind racing back to the ugly incidents that ensued the last time I'd received a text from a strange number.

Could it be –

Shaking away my thoughts, I tapped on the text notification, opening my messaging app. Lasisi was back in prison where he belonged, and he could never hurt me or anyone ever again. There was nothing to be afraid of anymore.

Reading the text, a small smile graced my lips at its contents.
