15 No Choice

Jeannie woke up slowly. As her eyes opened, she looked confusedly into the mirror that was on top of the bed and tried to think what had happened. As the events of the previous night were recalled, she quickly sat up in bed, many horror stories going through her head. Had she been given a date ra*e drug? Had he done something so despicable to get her to marry him.

Hurriedly, she checked herself and breathed a sigh of relief to find her clothes intact.

The ass**** prince had actually drugged her. but what was the purpose of the drug?

Looking around, she picked up the phone, ready to call the police, when she realized where she was. In Othon, who would dare to arrest the Prince. Angrily, she thought, she should call Delaney, only to then realize that... The phone was not even connected.

Pushing aside the blanket, she was ready to march out of the door and kill the first person even remotely connected with the Prince.

As it happened, the moment she moved, the door to the room opened. Eyeing the 'devil' himself coming in with that irritatingly smirking face, Jeannie did the first thing that came in her mind.

She attacked the Prince. Picking up the phone receiver that was disconnected, she threw it at his head with as much strength as she could muster. Which happened to be quite a lot since she was angry.

Unfortunately, the phone did not hit the target and was caught by the said target who looked at her with amusement. "Did you know that attacking me is enough to have you awarded a capital punishment?"

Instead of being scared, Jeannie was even more enraged and marched forward like a avenging angel with her finger pointing at him and poked the man, hard, in the shoulder," You dare! You actually dare to threaten to kill me after kidnapping me! You might be a Prince but you are a human! And believe me, if you continue to pester me, I will kill you! Even if I have to spend the rest of my life in prison!"

"Well, you can take political asylum, if you do kill me. After all you are a Princess." Christopher pointed out helpfully.

That took the sails out of her winds and she stared, rather stupidly, at the Prince.

"Oh, no no no! Mr. Prince, you cannot convince me to give up killing you. I would prefer the prison that being a Princess! And that should tell you something about me decision to marry you! Now, return my things and let me go! I don't know what your purpose in holding me here is, but I am not going to be marrying you! Also, if you think I will develop some sort of Stockholm Syndrome after being held captive by you, then you are severely mistaken!"

The infuriating prince laughed outright at this and stepped aside," You wouldn't believe me if I said I did all this to save you some trouble. But, I can assure you that I am incredible relieved that you are not going to suffer from said Syndrome. Please go ahead and leave."

Jeannie watched with narrowed eyes as the Prince walked further into the room. It was possible that there were guards out there to stop her.

"This is my personal floor. There are no guards. And no one will stop you from leaving here. At least none of my personnel."

"Really?", Jeannie could not help but be suspicious and question him.

The Prince merely nodded.

"Then were are my things?"

"In that cabinet by the door."

Mistrustful, she slowly stepped sideways towards the cabinet and saw her things neatly arranged there. Grabbing them, she hurriedly opened the door, when he called," Stop for a minute."

Dam* it! She knew he would not let her leave so easily! He must have had a reason for drugging her! As she debated whether she should run for her life or not, he turned on the television and the news reporters words fell into her ears," The Lost Princess of the Isle Of Argent."

The single statement made Jeannie drop her things and all thoughts of going straight to Country E's police and file a report against him were blown away.

Turning around, she noticed that the reporter in the television was standing outside a very familiar building. It was her apartment building! And she was saying," The lost princess of the Isle of Argent as we have recently come to know has been living as a commoner in country E's middle class district. Even though we are yet to find the identity of the Princess, a few of the King's close aide's were seen passing through here in the last few weeks.

Our inside sources have confirmed that the King has actually found his daughter after looking for her for the past two decades. Isle of Argent, a small island nation has recently been in the news for the power struggle between the younger princess and her many cousins and the people rebelling severely.. Will the arrival of a new and older princess tilt the crowd in any way as a commoner becomes a Princess or will it just be another power struggle? Only time will tell."
