5 Konoha

With the execution of Riraku Nara's plans, more than six ninjas were arrested for being spies—three of them Jonin and the other three Chunin.

After the capture of the spies, Danzo left the battlefield alongside Donji and four Jonins escorting them towards Konoha.

Danzo POV

Upon arriving at the gate of Konoha, I experienced a feeling like none other. However, that sensation quickly faded as I saw the Uchihas guarding the gate. I suspected that the original Danzo's influence still lingered, fueling my resentment towards the Uchihas.

I was escorted by masked men, the ANBU, who mentioned that Hiruzen wanted to see me in his office.

Arriving at the Hokage's office, the scent of tobacco filled the air, and Hiruzen's gaze met mine.

"I'm sorry for what happened to your eye and arm," said Hiruzen.

"Tsk, stop the unnecessary sympathy," I responded.

"Hmm... The other villages have been making strange moves these past few days. I don't know what they're up to, but I suspect they might be preparing for an all-out war."

"Hmp, those bastards can never touch Konoha."

With a sigh, Hiruzen looked at me and continued, "I would agree with you if we still had the power to back it up. This month, we have lost a considerable number of jonins. We are running out of manpower. If the other villages join forces and start another great ninja war, I don't know how we will hold up."

"Then we should start a new force, like the ANBU, but specialized outside of the village."

"We don't have the manpower for such an organization!"

"Hmp, Hiruzen, use your head. The kids are about to graduate, and there are many talented children in the clans. With me being out of the battlefield, I can personally teach and hone their skills. Do not forget that I was also once a student of Lord Second!"

"Don't kid me. Children won't be enough to stop all the major villages!"

"Who the hell said we will only be using the children?! Once we are done with the Sand Village, we can fully use our remaining jonins to take the kids to battle and gain experience. Do not forget we still have 4 Kage-level ninjas!"

Hiruzen just looked at me and sighed. I'm not wrong; we can definitely win if I personally train those children. With the Sand Village coming to an end, the three Sannins will be back, alongside Sakumo Hatake. This time, I will not let him die; I must get him to join the Root.

After some thought, Hiruzen finally answered me with a question, "What do you need?"

With a smile, I responded, "A base located near the Hokage rocks. I will also need you to contact the clan heads of some clans; I will be needing some of their ninjas and kids."

"I can make a base for your new organization, but your Shimura clan must pay half the cost, as I can't financially support that much. For the clan heads, I will contact them; however, you can only take the children, aside from the clan heirs. Because we currently need active ninjas, and clan heirs are important for the clans."

In truth, he could've just given me what I asked for, but he had to add some restrictions to prevent me from gaining too much power in the village. A smart way of suppressing me for now, but once I manipulate those kids and make them strong ninjas, my influence in this village will skyrocket. Not getting the clan heirs is also hindering my plans, but I guess it's fine, as long as I get my loyal dogs.

"Tsk, fine. The clans I want are the Nara, Sarutobi, Uchiha, Yamanaka, Hyuga, Aburame, Hatake, and the Hoki clan. I will be adding ninjas from the Shimura clan as well, so you don't have to worry about that."

When Hiruzen heard Sarutobi, I sensed that he tensed up a bit, which made me smile.

'How hypocritical of you, Hiruzen. You don't care about the other clans, but you would hesitate with the Sarutobis,' I thought.

"Is that all? And why are you leaving out the Akimichi clan?"

"They are strong, but their personality wouldn't work with the 'Root.'"

"Root, huh? So that will be the name?"

"Yes."

Seeing me walk towards the door, leaving, Hiruzen stared at my back and waved his hand, ordering the ANBU that was watching from outside. The ANBU was at least a jonin-level ninja, and here I thought we were low on jonins, yet Hiruzen is using him like a dog.

After leaving the Hokage's office, I immediately went to the Shimura clan compound. Upon entering, I was greeted by Donji, who was accompanied by a young boy.

With a bow, he greeted me with a smile, "Danzo-sama."

"Ah, Donji, how is it being back home? And who might this be?" I asked.

"Well, it has been refreshing coming back. However, I have nothing else to do, so I brought my nephew along to teach him some basics about being a ninja. This little guy's name is Ennozo; he's about to attend the academy next month, hahahaha."

After thinking for a bit, I responded to Donji with a smile, "Is that so... Say, Donji, why don't you and Ennozo join me for dinner?"

Is it ok for me to add a system for the mc? the system will just be a system that tells the potential and stats of a target and wont be OP. The system will also have a buy system, where he can buy ninjutsus and other stuff for his Root ninjas. This system will literally be built to make his ninjas strong af.
