13 Hokage Position

POV Fugaku Uchiha

"Elder...position...? That's it?!" 

The eldest elder stood up and yelled at Danzo, his chakra intensifying. Danzo and the Elder locked eyes, and Danzo replied with his own chakra that dwarfed the elder. 

Silence grew as the two glared, but thankfully, that silence was soon broken by Danzo. "You monkeys sure know how to be greedy. This is why every single person in Konoha despises your clan, because of this arrogance of yours." The silence was broken, replaced with the roaring of the Uchiha Elders.

Every single elder looked at Danzo, including me, with our Sharingan open, all 3 tomoe. However, our Sharingans were met with a slight scoff that irritated us more. Gritting my teeth, I finally spoke up without interruption, "Lord Danzo, we cannot accept this."

"And why is that? This is the only offer you will ever receive from Konoha, and you know it."

I closed my eyes and sighed. I know he is right; we are disliked in Konoha, and what he said earlier is also true. 'We need to make changes,' I thought.

Although he is right, I cannot just accept an elder position out of nowhere. We will be hated more if we do, as people might think we forced Konoha or did not deserve the position.

Thinking about the clan again, I opened my eyes with my Sharingan gone and spoke, "We, the Uchiha, and the Senju, created Konoha. There have been two Senju Hokage, and a possible third with Lady Tsunade as a highly candidate as she was trained under Lord Third and is the granddaughter of the late First Hokage. We have been longing for an Uchiha Hokage... Either make an Uchiha a Hokage, or not negotiate at all, Lord Danzo."

The Uchiha Elders seemed to nod in agreement and sat back down, following my action and also closing their Sharingans.

My eyes met Danzo's, and I saw him smile like he had planned things ahead already. I sweated a bit, then he spoke, "I can't make you Hokage; however, I am currently training an Uchiha to be the Next Hokage, right after Minato."

My eyes widened at what Danzo said. "An Uchiha? And by Minato, you mean..."

"That's right, Minato currently has the best chance of becoming Hokage."

I was a little confused as to why Minato, a 15 year old and a civilian ninja, was ahead of me and Orochimaru. Orochimaru has the backing of Hiruzen, the two other Sannin, and is a war hero. While on the other hand, I am the clan patriarch of the most powerful clan in Konoha and was also well known on the battlefield. I furrowed my eyebrows and was soon met with another yell from one of the elders.

"Minato?! A child and a civilian ninja?! You expect us to believe that crap?! I can understand Orochimaru, as he is the student of Lord Third, but why of all people is a civilian more suited to be the Hokage than our patriarch?!"

"He has a point. I know that Minato is a great and powerful shinobi, but to be ahead of two powerful ninjas with immense backing is just..." commented one of the Elders.

Danzo sighed a bit and looked at me, "Orochimaru has been growing distant with Hiruzen, and I think that Hiruzen doesn't want Orochimaru to be Hokage anymore. Although I do not know why that is, what I do know is that Minato is not lacking in anything. He has the power and backing to become Hokage. He might only be 15, but he is the student of Jiraiya, one of the legendary Sannin. Not only that, I heard that he is the partner of the current Jinchuriki. You could also say that Hiruzen supports Minato, with him having the will of fire that Hiruzen oh so loves. And finally, he has the backing of one of the elders in the village, me."

Disappointed looks and sighs plagued the room as the elders accepted that Minato will most probably become Hokage. As I thought of the clan's future, I suddenly remembered Danzo mentioning that he is training an Uchiha to be the next Hokage. I got excited and a smile began to bloom on my face and I asked, "Lord Danzo, you said that you are training an Uchiha to be the Hokage, is that true?"

Danzo smiled brightly and said, "That's right. He will be the next Fifth Hokage."

The smile on my face brightened up more, and the elders seemed to realize that an Uchiha could potentially be a Hokage in the future.

"May we know the name?" asked one of the elders.

Danzo looked at the elder and said, "Obito Uchiha."

Confusion was written on all of our faces. None of us knew of such a name until one of the younger elders spoke up, "Ah, if I am not mistaken, then he must be the Uchiha boy that helps elderly people, even outside of the clan. But I also heard that he is at the bottom of his class."

All the faces that were full of joy soon turned into frowns. We were all thinking of the same thing, 'Danzo wants to make an Uchiha a puppet. Having control of the strongest clan while also being in control of the entire village.'

As the eyes of the elders and my eyes met, a quick sigh came out of me and they all just looked down while shaking their heads. With the elders' silence, I spoke up on their behalf and said, "Elder Danzo, would it be possible to make Shisui the Hokage? We will agree to anything you may ask of us if you do so."

Danzo shook his head and said, "No, I will make Uchiha Obito the Hokage."

I frowned, "Although Shisui might only be 3, he has shown great potential."

Danzo seemed to be shocked at something but suddenly composed himself and replied to me, "I know that Shisui is a prodigy. However, Obito has a better chance of becoming Hokage than anyone in the Uchiha clan."

"..." Every single one of us was silent and let Danzo continue.

"Although he might look like a nobody, he has the greatest potential I have ever seen. His potential rivals the potential of Shisui and Kakashi alike. Furthermore, Obito is liked by others, unlike any other Uchiha."

The room was silent, and the elders looked at each other with doubt on their faces. I can't blame them, because I'm having trouble believing what Danzo said myself. I again broke the silence by saying, 

"Let's make a deal then, Lord Danzo."
