1 Knowing what to do

AC108 was 'sleeping' when the protective barrier of the estate was hit. He opened his eyes and walked over to where the sound was coming from. He scanned the area and found about five hundred persons with weapons walking up. He started the alarm for five minutes evacuating and called his master.

"Master, approximately 584 people are trying to break in. Shall I let some of them live to be questioned or eliminate all of them?" "Eliminate them all AC108 and make sure not a single person enters the house. I now permit you to be able to control the robots and the estate's defense system." the master commanded. "Yes, master, my mission is to stop them from entering at all costs."

AC108 assigned the robots tasks like making sure the staff that works in the estate were gone and tightly securing the perimeter and mansion. AC108 gave the signal to fire bullets at the enemies. The humans summoned their mechanical beasts and when AC108 scanned their level the lowest was a level five and the highest a level 8. The beasts started to charge at the barrier so AC108 commanded the robots to switch to cannons. The air was soon filled with the crackling of metal as both sides fired on each other. AC108 tried to dispatch the humans as the mechanical beasts need their energy to work for a long time. The defensive barrier over the house was weakening because of the repeated assault so AC108 tried to contact his master to report about the issue and how to take care of it. He used his battery power to make a new shield to strengthen it for now. The phone signal was not great though because of the huge energy surrounding the place but the call went through at the third ring. Then the master's voice sounded in his ear "I— turn—backup system— think you have enough resources—finish the mission?" AC108 replied, "Of course master, I will do everything in my power to finish the mission for you." AC108 wasn't sure how much his master heard but he thought the message was clear when the master replied "I will leave it up to you, then."

AC108 scanned the area and confirmed where the enemies were. There were less than two hundred alive but of all the things about humans they have an annoying habit of continuing to dive into danger. He instructed five weaponized robots to shield him as he stepped out of the protective force. The mechanical beasts were weakening his power source and he would only last 20 minutes at most if he didn't try to do something. The weaponized robots were safeguarding him from any attacks that came his way. He ordered some of the household robots to give him their battery and activate the self-destroy mode.

"You don't have the authority to trigger self-destroy mode", one of the robots replied. "It is essential for the finalization of the mission. The energy waves of self-destruction will affect the mechanical beasts giving more time for eliminating them all."

"Reason justified for the consummation of the mission. The self-destroy mode will activate after the battery is drained." All the robots had a red button come out of them as the issue was finalized. He said "Yes." and a socket opened by his side. The first robot gave him 95% of its power and that is how it allowed more robots to explode and kill. The humans panicked and attacked more vigorously but it made the area worse. The energy waves were so strong that the whole city probably will feel the effects for a long time. AC108 died with everything because although it was an Android the energy was too strong even for it to survive, nothing was left in the area.

Mateo rushed home as soon as he could, cursing all the way. There was nothing remaining of the estate and even the surrounding. He tried to see if any of the robots survived. Nothing. He frowned even AC108's indication was gone. With so many energy waves, it was not surprising, the people at the scene that only let him get close because he showed he was the owner of the area. He left and came back three months later when the energy wave had reduced a little. He found the memory cores of all the robots and took them all to sort through them. He found all the documents, videos, pictures, and things in the house on random cores. Some had nothing while others had a lot. He was downcast that there was no way to make a replica of AC108 again. He had had the android since he was fifteen and had never changed for another as others would. He knew it was becoming a sentimental being but he could not bring himself to destroy it so he acted as if nothing happened to the robot. He got an android that looked like a child and named it AD.308. It was as good as AC108 but he made sure to not forget AC108 and the sacrifice it made for him.
