Chapter 29 – Prince Brutus Gorepelt

A day passed as Ender and the other's decided to rest in Scarlet's mansion however dark undercurrents were brewing in the palace. This undercurrent was not from King Wild Gorepelt which was slightly displeased from the knowing that Scarlet was with a human boy. Wild waved the matter saying that Scarlet was too young to worry about for now. Additionally Wild thought that the boy may not have long to live any ways.

The undercurrents were stemmed from Prince Brutus Gorepelt. Brutus body was large and built like an ox. His muscles were brimming and could rip from his clothes when angered. This dark-brown hair and tail could as seen standing at end with his attention focused. A slight sense of bloodlust could be felt from the mansion Brutus stayed in causing the guards to shutter from time to time. Brutus had a heavy expression on his face as he thought of the matter that he heard of by a passing maid. Princess Scarlet had returned and with her was some guests. But the important part was one of the guests was a young boy that seemed to be the same age of Scarlet.

Just thinking of this matter caused his blood to boil. "This won't do. I have already scared all of the younger boys in the Kingdom long ago and now a human boy wants to take my sister. This won't do I will have to find a way to get rid of him. Mother has already sent men to guard Scarlet's estate and it is heard that they were given the order to attack on sight. But if I have to do it the right way or they will know it would be me. I have already done the same for sister Sasha so any men that had bad intentions have disappeared. But a new threat has appeared." Brutus contemplated to himself.

The cause for the queen's worry was stemmed from Brutus strong sis-conning. Brutus did not dot on his sisters directly but would find any way to attack any boys in secret that tried get close to the Second Princess Sasha Gorepelt and the Third Princess Scarlet Gorepelt.

Sasha had to go great trouble when she was younger because of Brutus however she was currently away in the Kingdom of the Scholars so Sasha was out of reach. However, Scarlet had left for essentially a milk run but returned with extras.

"Mmm, if I capture him while he is in the castle, I can say he asked me for training and take him to training grounds. During the match I could 'slip' and cause him to disappear or at least make him brain dead." Brutus started making his plans.

In a distant place Ender felt that his life for some reason was under threat but nothing could be seen. But bloodlust was felt from a distance at the very least. Ender took this chance to temper himself and absorb the sensation so he could remember how to the Demon King Izrath felt in his life. Even thought ethereal when remember he knew that this bloodlust was nothing compaed to what Demon King Izrath felt towards the end of his life.

The following day Scarlet decided to show the inner castle area after she received permission from Queen Ruby the day before. The group were dress better than the day before but were restricted from entering more sensitive area.

When Brutus heard this a smile crept on his face as he got up. His bloodlust slowly suppressed as slowly made way for the inner castle area.

In the inner castle the group of Ender, Scarlet, Millie, and Sarah was accompanied by 6 men of higher ranks for their protection. They slowly made progress going through the castle while Brutus was following not far behind. Brutus was currently waiting for a moment in which the guards would drop their attention. Brutus did not have to wait long because Ender had to go into the restroom. Brutus knew which was the closest restroom and beat the group to the location. The bathroom also was on the second floor with a window big enough he could fit through which was perfect.

As Brutus was waiting in the restroom Ender was escorted by 2 men. Ender did not want some random men to follow him inside so asked them to wait outside. Entering the bathroom was set to use for multiple people and was created when the castle was used for parties. Ender was greeted with a large beast-man in suit like attire as he took a turn. The large man gave Ender scare because of he was not expecting to find another person inside the restroom looming in a corner.

Brutus was about to speak but Ender beat him, "Are you one of those attendants that wait in the restrooms with soap?" As Ender continued to himself, "Queen Ruby is so thoughtful to have attendants in the restroom after knowing we were going to tour the inner castle."

Hearing this Brutus eyebrows were twitching with anger. Before he could speak once more Ender spoke, "Do you mind keeping an eye on the hallway mister attendant? I need to relieve myself and there are guards outside. Thanks."

Ender did not wait for Brutus answer before running into one of the stalls. Brutus was speechless as he walked into the hallway to keep watch. But as Brutus went walking over the stopped before thinking, "How did I get caught up in that kid's flow? I am here to beat some sense into him." Though Brutus still kept an eye on the hallway.

After a flush Ender exited the stall and washed his hands. He met with Brutus blocking the hallway. "Thanks mister attendant can you move so I can leave?"

Brutus was not about to be swept to Ender's current so Brutus stated. "Kid do you know who I am?"

Ender was confused before shaking his head. Brutus laughed while placing a hand on Ender's shoudler before saying, "I am Brutus Gorepelt." Not letting Ender process the his words Brutus dragged Ender out of the restroom through the window and jumping down. Brutus then dashed for the training field.

Ender finally registered the situation he was in… A large man was waiting in a restroom and kidnapped him. He had heard nobles had different standards and started to worry. It did not take longer than 5 minutes of the full sprint with ether for the two people to reach the train field. Brutus had reserved the area so no other people were there. The training field was more like a miniature coliseum in which the troops would use to train.

When Ender saw this his face went pale. His assumptions were right most likely so he started covering his backside. When Brutus finally paid attention back to Ender, he was covering his backside while trying to back away. Brutus was about to say something when Ender once more interjected, "Stay away you pervert. I like women not men!"

Brutus was dumbfounded before he pieced together what he meant. Enraged Brutus exclaimed, "Brat what are you thinking? I came to see if you are any strong?"

Ender did not relent yet, "You took me from the restroom and took me to distant isolated field. Like I would believe you."

Brutus was further incented as he went to a corner of the field to pick up a wooden axe before saying, "Whatever you think is wrong. If you want to leave just show me some strength." Flexing his muscles the his shirt and the suit ripped with his bare chest showing.

Ender was still wary but knew he could not escape easily. Ender questioned, "But you're of a higher level and I have yet to awake how is that fair?"

Brutus already thought of that matter before reaching into his pocket for some wrist restraints. Showing them to Ender while putting them on Brutus explained, "These are created for prisoners originally but they seal all ether in the body. So, we will both not be able to use ether so go pick a weapon."

Ender seeing that he had no way out of this went to find a sword while taking his outer shirt off as well.

Scarlet and the others were starting to worry about Ender since he was taking a long time in the restroom.

Finding a wooden sword that was of good size and weight for him. Ender thought that he just needed to last for as long as possible while Brutus was wondering how to maim Ender.

Brutus did not say anything and rushed forward not giving Ender much time to get adjusted. Brutus swung his wooden axe fully unleashing his killing intent onto Ender. Ender at this moment realized he was in further trouble than he estimated. Ender was already wary and when he sensed the bloodlust Ender silently moved his ether to make him lighter and strengthen his arms for impact. With barely enough adjustment Ender was able to pull up his wooden sword to block sending him flying back.

Ender was sent flying 4 meters but was barely able to keep his balance. Brutus was shocked by how Ender was still standing and holding his sword. To Brutus it felt like he hit a feather. Brutus did not show this but only showed a sneered as he remarked, "Not bad but I won't be letting up now." Stepping forward Brutus quickly approached Ender.

Ender on the other side was furious at his current predicament. Some random pervert dragged him to a field and now was trying to kill him. He could swear that that maybe the whole Gorepelt linage maybe perverts. Not thinking about this further thought, "If you want to kill me I will just kill you first!"

Ender used gravity magic to lighten himself as much as possible before strengthening his muscles with ether. Stepping forward Ender shot forward to intercept with Brutus.

Brutus not noticing the difference in Ender for swung his wooden axe horizontally. Ender stepped forward and jumped upwards to tap onto the wooden axe before he swung his wooden sword for Brutus throat. Ender's small light stature allowed his to do this feat. Seeing the approaching danger Brutus flexed backwards before using the momentum to swing his wooden axe up.

Ender seeing his attack missed swung his wooden sword downward so that he could use the impact the fly further away. The small clash sent Ender flying once more as he used gravity magic on himself to land stably. Brutus on the other had was sent rolling on the ground by the momentum.

Even though Brutus was a trained warrior Ender had parts of Demon King Izrath's memories and fighting arts. Though Ender could not use any of the arts effectively until he reached Gray Core the set movements were above Brutus's abilities.

Brutus thoughts became more unclear as he was set on killing Ender even more after the current display. Brutus used his wooden axe to strike ground and used the strike to pull himself towards Ender. Brutus swung his wooden axe to aim for Ender's feet when he landed. Not being able to turn himself properly Ender instead swung his wooden sword down with Gravity magic to hit the floor first. Brutus sent Ender flying by his wooden sword and ended up tumbling on the ground.

Brutus did not relent and followed more strikes while Ender was still on the ground. Ender continued to spin and lightened his body before pushing back from the ground to stand up. Brutus swung down a strike while Ender flashed passed sending a strike Brutus's Liver area he could not block as he passed. Brutus winced by the pain and was surprised by the strength the brat, Ender, could show. Ender was starting to get his gears going as the battle started to reach higher levels.

Turning around the man and boy went for another round.
