Lancell was dazed at the sudden disappearance of the Daemon. He didn't actually know anything about it, not even its full strength, but Lancell knew its was far from going all out. And the fact that it was able to leave as carefree as it did, quite irritated him a lot.

However, what was done was done. And Lancell couldn't change that. As such, Lancell could only accept what happened. Also. . .

'Champion. . . One who leads the world. . .' Lancell contemplated. It was a question.

'Lead from what? . . . And to what? . . .'

More questions.

'And what was that Daemon doing here? Weren't they supposed to appear in the third year of the Wave?'

Even more questions. . .

'And why did he seem to have interest in me when he found out I can use the Laws of Space?'

Questions revolved inside Lancell's mind. It was haunting him along with the questions he buried in his mind.

Divinities. . .

Arkenvalle. . .

Rebirth. . .

Void Severing Blade Manual. . .

The Great Shift. . .

Each one of those topics contained dozens of questions but Lancell had no way of knowing anything. He grit his teeth hard to the point it cracked, but Lancell's frustration didn't make him notice that. His hands were also clenched, his nails digging into the flesh of his palms, but it also went past his mind.

He felt like a trapped mouse in a cage. Being forced to do tricks, being fed to grow fatter, being taken care of. . .

Lancell didn't like that.

If there was one thing Lancell hated the most other than being weak, it was relying on others. One where he was being spoon-fed and just getting taken care of. And now that he realized it, it felt like the Daemon's exit was a bit too convenient.

It was like he was being played.

'I swear, if anyone or anything is doing this, I'll rip it out piece by piece until I—'

"Lancell. . .?" a meek voice suddenly came from behind him.

Lancell suddenly snapped out of his daze, and turned around. He then saw Aerym, who for some reason was trembling as her face was devoid of any colour.

"Y-You're scary. . ." she said as she stuttered.

Lancell's eyes widened a bit in realization. It seems he was subconsciously releasing bloodlust around him at full force without knowing. It was bad taste.

Lancell began to calm down, 'Yeah. Cursing to myself won't do anything good. If I want to do something, I'll just do it. Without words. . . without anyone's permission, I'll still do it.'

He stared Aerym, for a while, and then averted his eyes, "Sorry," he said. A bit embarrassed, "I lost myself for a bit."

Aerym sighed as if trying to breath out the remaining fear in her. She out a hand in her chest as she reassured herself. 'It's alright. It's just him.' And she then shook her head gently, "I-It's fine," she told him, "I was just a surprised."

Or so she said, but she was really scared of him that few seconds. She felt like something was about to kill her as her every instinct warned of her impending death. She had never experience something like that before.

She looked at Lancell once more, and saw that he seemed to be thinking of something. It looks like he was back to normal. There was no way that discriminately murderous vibe he let out earlier was normal. She refused to believe so.

However, something caught in her vision as she shifted her focus to it. It was on the floor, and it was glowing.

It caught her interest, but she chose not to make the same mistake, "Lancell," she called out, "what's that?"

Lancell snapped out of his thoughts, as he looked at Aerym who was pointing at something. He looked at it, and recognized what it was.

"Another Teleportation Circle?" He muttered. Lancell was sick of seeing those already.

However, there was no other way out of this dungeon or whatever this place was, so he approached it. Aerym followed behind him.

When Lancell reached the Teleportation Circle, he inspected it for a good while. After he did, he stood as he sighed.

Aerym was curious, "So?" she inquired, "how is it?"

"Looks like this is the one."

Aerym's eyes brightened at his words as she almost jumped from joy, but she stopped herself. That's right, unless they were back in Selvenia, there was no guarantee of safety. As such, she calmed herself down.

"Are we going?" She asked Lancell as she stopped herself from smiling.

"Obviously."

Lancell then moved forward and stood inside the circle as Aerym followed suit. The next moment after, they were bathed in light as they vanished.
