20 Chapter 20 Unilateral Decision

The next day, Aaron Liu was already preparing to leave for the office with a young lady from the Jiang Family. After waiting for a while, Jiang Lily hadn't left the room.

"Has my granddaughter come out of the room yet, young man?" asked Mrs. Jiang, who happened to see Aaron Liu standing next to her car.

"Miss Lily must be getting ready, Grandma." Aaron Liu replied with a forced calm expression that showed no significant emotion.

Mrs. Jiang smiled wryly at that answer. She knew that Aaron Liu was covering up her granddaughter's ridiculous behaviour. Unable to bear the madness of her favourite granddaughter, the older woman rushed to the room where Jiang Lily was.

In just a few steps, Mrs. Jiang was already in front of the room door, which sounded very noisy. It was confident that the beautiful woman had deliberately set the music loud.

"Lily! Open the door!" She shouted at her granddaughter, who was quite unruly. That's because she's always spoiled her only granddaughter.

Several times Mrs. Jiang called out her granddaughter's name, but Jiang Lily didn't open the door at all. She didn't seem to hear her grandmother call.

This made Mrs. Jiang even more furious; she immediately called a servant and asked him to open the door to the room with a spare key.

"Open this room!" She ordered the servant who had just arrived with the spare key to Jiang Lily's room.

"Yes, Madam." Without wasting any time, the servant rushed to open a room that was so noisy, with the sound of music echoing quite loudly.

When it opened, Jiang Lily looked very surprised to see her grandmother. Her face was suddenly pale and very frightened. She was very sure that Mrs. Jiang was furious at her actions.

Without thinking, Jiang Lily got up and turned off the loud music. She moved closer to her grandmother without daring to look at her face. The beautiful woman just bowed her head with all her courage.

"Grandma .... " Jiang Lily knew she had done something outrageous this time. Looking at her grandmother's expression, she was terrified and felt guilty.

"Do you know your mistake?" Mrs. Jiang asked a question to provoke her granddaughter.

Jiang Lily felt too stupid and careless. She didn't expect her grandmother to defend a stranger she had just met. It was still challenging for Mrs. Jiang's only granddaughter to accept.

She was thinking of an excuse to answer the question. Jiang Lily didn't want to make things worse by saying something stupid in front of her grandmother.

"Is it because the music is too loud?" Hesitantly, Jiang Lily tried to guess the meaning of her grandmother's words.

"I didn't expect you to be so unreliable. Didn't you and Aaron have to attend the meeting this morning?" Mrs. Jiang tried to remind that of a wonderful young woman.

"Why does it have to be with him, Grandma? Can't I go by myself?" Jiang Lily whined, pleading that she didn't have to go with a man she didn't know.

A fatal and unforgivable answer for Mrs. Jiang, Her granddaughter had gone too far in treating Aaron Liu so disrespectfully. It's as if Jiang Lily can't respect someone who has contributed to her family.

Not wanting her granddaughter to take the wrong path, Mrs. Jiang had to make a firm decision about her favourite granddaughter. A small mistake could make Jiang Lily even more uncontrollable.

"If you can't listen to grandma... from now on, you don't need to go to the company. Let grandma and Aaron take care of our family business." Although the words sounded very quiet, every word Mrs. Jiang said was full of meaning.

"What do you mean, Grandma?" said Jiang Lily with a panicked look at her grandmother's unilateral decision.

Unfortunately, Mrs. Jiang completely ignored her granddaughter's words. The older woman walked out, leaving Jiang Lily still in confusion.

Mrs. Jiang walked to where Aaron Liu had been waiting, not turning a single face. She felt guilty for putting him through the trouble of her granddaughter's excessive behaviour.

"Looks like my granddaughter doesn't want to take care of the company anymore, Aaron. It's better if we go together." Mrs. Jiang said to a man who looked surprised after hearing her words.

"But, Grandma .... " Aaron Liu could guess something had happened between his grandmother and granddaughter. Something not too good must have happened in there earlier.

"Let's go now!" said Mrs. Jiang before getting into the car.

They both got into the car and prepared to leave. Although he disagreed with Mrs. Jiang's decision, Aaron Liu couldn't do anything about it. Moreover, the luxurious mansion owner needed to be in a better mood.

Aaron Liu blamed the car engine and prepared to leave the Jiang Family's mansion. He was stepping on the gas pedal suddenly.

"Stop the car!" A well-dressed woman stood before the car, greatly surprising Aaron Liu and Mrs. Jiang.

The shout was able to make Aaron Liu hit the brakes instantly.
