12 Chapter 12 Mrs. Jiang's Favorit Granddaugter

Since Mrs. Jiang learned the bittersweet story of Aaron Liu, she's become increasingly curious about his personal life. For some reason, it felt exciting and gave rise to a growing curiosity.

"Are you okay, Aaron?" Mrs. Jiang was a little worried because the man suddenly looked sad after answering her question.

"I'm fine, Grandma. Are we going straight home?" Aaron asked before he started the car engine.

"We'll just go straight home. It looks like there's going to be heavy rain." Mrs. Jiang thought it was going to rain soon. The sky was already so dark and gloomy. It wouldn't be good if they were outside.

The car then sped up to the Jiang Family's luxurious mansion. In just a few minutes, they arrived in front of the spacious courtyard surrounded by a high fence.

Aaron immediately rushed out and opened the door for Mrs. Jiang. Once out of the car, a sight disturbed the older woman.

"Wen Ziyi? Why is that woman here? Didn't we meet at the office a few hours ago?" murmured Mrs. Jiang when she saw a car she believed belonged to her sister-in-law.

Aaron Liu only vaguely heard Mrs. Jiang's words. He also needed to find out the person the older woman had just mentioned.

The two of them walked straight into the main door. As Mrs. Jiang had expected, her sister-in-law seemed to be waiting alone in the living room as if something was significant.

"What brings you here?" snapped Mrs. Jiang with a displeased face. There was a belief that Wen Ziyi would only bring trouble to the Jiang Family.

"I'd like to have a quick word with my Sister-in-law. Why does my Sister-in-law seem unhappy with my arrival?" Wen Ziyi foolishly asked that. That woman had too much drama that made the relationship between the two not go well.

"Didn't we talk in the office earlier? What did you come here for? If it's to discuss that fashion store you recommended, my decision is final!" said Mrs. Jiang without hesitation.

Unconcerned about her sister-in-law's whereabouts, Mrs. Jiang hurried to her office. She entered immediately, followed by the uninvited guest.

The relationship between the two women could have been better. Especially since the death of her husband, Wen Ziyi had become increasingly uncontrollable. She always took advantage of her sister-in-law only. She was always trying to do underhanded things behind Mrs. Jiang's back.

Mrs. Jiang already knew the evil deeds of Wen Ziyi. She was waiting for the right time to throw the woman as far away as possible.

Since the death of her son and daughter-in-law in an accident, Mrs. Jiang couldn't help but give her sister-in-law a position. Considering Wen Ziyi also had to support her two children alone. Her husband had died of a heart attack long ago while their children were still in school.

"Give me a chance, Sister-in-law! I'll prove that all the fashion stores I recommend sell original products," Wen Ziyi pleaded. She hoped Mrs. Jiang would agree to some of the stores she had selected.

"If you want to visit here, that's fine with me. Just don't talk business in my house!" Mrs. Jiang told her sister-in-law.

Wen Ziyi smiled wryly at that answer, and she felt that Mrs. Jiang never valued her opinion. It was as if her presence in the company meant nothing.

It hurt her pride. Unfortunately, Wen Ziyi and her two children depended on the Jiang Family's company. All the businesses left behind by her husband have gone bankrupt. They had no choice but to rely on her brother-in-law.

"I heard... your two sons built a new company on the outskirts of town," Mrs. Jiang chided her sister-in-law.

"How did Sister-in-law know? They're too stupid and can't understand business. How could they build a company in such a remote area?" Wen Ziyi was suddenly upset, remembering her two children who couldn't do business. You can only spend money if you produce something.

Mrs. Jiang certainly knew that very well. Rumours were circulating that the new company was deliberately built to compete with the Jiang Family's JL Fashion.

However, it wasn't a big deal to the Jiang Family. Anyone has the right to be a competitor in business, including their relatives.

"Everyone knows that too. I'd be happy if your two children could build a new business." Mrs. Jiang smiled a sincere and meaningful smile. It didn't matter if they all thought of competing with her company.

"Their company isn't comparable to JL Fashion at all. Can't your Sister-in-law give them a little help? At least until they can stand on their own without bothering me," Wen Ziyi said to her sister-in-law.

Again, Mrs. Jiang only smiled slightly at the request. She knew exactly where her sister-in-law was going with this. Unfortunately, the older woman had no interest in establishing any business relationship with their company.

Not only was it too risky, but the company needed to be more precise and more suspicious. Mrs. Jiang feared it was just a cocooning company deliberately created for evil. Considering the relationship between the two families could have been better so far.

"I could have helped you guys. But not by investing. It would be better to send someone who understands business. So the two of them can learn from that person," Mrs. Jiang said without any burden. It was the safe and best solution for all of them.

"If it's just business, I can teach them myself. It's different with extra capital. It will be more useful for both of them," Wen Ziyi replied to Mrs. Jiang's earlier remark.

As expected, Wen Ziyi deliberately wanted additional capital for her two son's company. Unfortunately, Mrs. Jiang didn't pay any heed.

"I can't provide any capital for your two sons. Everything I have now belongs to my granddaughter. Only he has the right to decide about assets or companies." That was true; Mrs. Jiang had given everything to her favourite granddaughter.

The company and all of her property and assets also belonged to her only granddaughter. The older woman had no rights whatsoever, and everything proves her love and affection for a granddaughter who she has raised.
