1 Chapter 1 Tragedy

Aaron Liu had just spent the night with a few women before his cell phone rang loudly, completely interrupting his enjoyment. "What's wrong, Mom?" he said to someone on the other end of the phone.

"What do you mean, Mom? I'm going back to the mansion right now." The young man took some bills from his wallet and threw them on the table. Aaron Liu didn't care when his two best friends called him.

He hurriedly got into the car towards his parents' mansion.

Not long after, he arrived at a large and luxurious house with a high fence that was quite classy. Aaron Liu stopped his car right in front of the main door of his family's home. As soon as he entered the house, he saw all the servants and workers in the luxurious house gathered with the house owner.

"What are you all gathered here for?" asked Aaron Liu with an innocent face because he didn't know anything about his family.

A woman who looked still very beautiful with a face that looked charming walked up to him. She is Jenny Liu, Aaron Liu's mother.

"Aaron," said Jenny Liu, while looking at the figure of Aaron Liu, who she had loved so much all his life.

Then Jenny Liu put on a sad and lackluster face, explaining, "Our family has gone bankrupt, Aaron! Everything we have is gone. The bank will also confiscate even the apartment you live in!"

"How did this happen? Didn't Daddy once say our treasure will not run out for seven generations?" Aaron Liu still couldn't believe everything he had just heard. He could see that the woman who had given birth to him was also devastated by his family's bankruptcy.

Unknowingly, Aaron Liu pulled his hair. The man felt very frustrated about the destiny of his family. With all his strength, he approached his father, who sat silently without moving a muscle.

"Is everything that happened real, Dad? What about my wedding, which will be held in a month?" he asked the old man, who seemed to have lost hope.

"You can go to your future wife and explain everything. Of course, Miranda will still accept you if she loves you," explained Johnny Liu, Aaron Liu's biological father. As a parent, he can only tell the best for his son. He didn't want his only son to be trapped in fake love.

"Miranda loves me very much. She will accept me even though our family is bankrupt," said Aaron Liu with great confidence. He believed his fiancé would not leave him because his family was bankrupt. What's more, their relationship lasted for a long time. So there is no reason for Miranda Choi to go away from him.

Johnny Liu got up from his seat and patted the shoulder of the son in his family.

"I can only wish you the best. Tomorrow morning, your mother and I will go to Chyou Island. We will manage the vineyard left by your grandfather." Johnny Liu smiled sincerely, hoping his son could pass through the worst times in his family.

"And please forgive me, Aaron. For not being able to give you the luxury and life you deserve anymore." regretted Johnny Liu with a sad face and was disappointed in himself.

Jenny Liu approached her son and held her eldest son's hands.

"Mommy has ordered someone to tidy up all your things in the apartment. They will come soon," she explained, not excited. As a mother, she felt she had failed to provide a good life for her son. "It's better tomorrow morning if you come with us to Chyou Island. We don't have anything here anymore," Jenny Liu continued, looking gently at her son's face.

"You guys don't need to worry about me. There's a house downtown that I bought for Miranda a while ago. I'll be living with my fiancé for the time being. We can both develop the fashion business she's running." Aaron Liu didn't feel worried because he felt that all this time, he had provided all the luxuries for his fiancé.

The man thought now was the time to enjoy what he had sown. He gave his fiancé a luxurious house in the city center, a rising fashion business, and various luxury goods.

Jenny Liu was finally able to smile with great relief. At least she could ensure that her son would live a good life.

"I trust you. Let us know if anything happens to you. We have to rest first." The woman invited her husband to rest in the room. The two must prepare themselves for a long journey to Chyou Island.

Aaron Liu stares at a large frame in his room, showing him and Miranda Choi's intimacy at their engagement party. He never thought that his family could go bankrupt and have nothing left. The only path on his mind is the fiancé. After all, everything that a woman has comes from his family. Indirectly, he has the right to feel he owns it too.

In later days, Aaron Liu's father and mother were already preparing to leave early in the morning. They also knocked on Aaron Liu's room several times. Still, they got no answer, and finally, Jenny and Johnny Liu left without saying goodbye to their son.

However, Jenny Liu and Johnny Liu left an envelope and a small note as a sign of goodbye to Aaron Liu.

Not long after, Aaron Liu came out with a pretty neat appearance. It looked like he had just finished taking a shower. As soon as he left the room, a servant approached him.

"Good morning, young master. Master and madam have just left for Chyou Island. Madam left this for you." The maid handed an envelope to Aaron Liu. "Then I'll take my leave, Young Master. Goodbye." The maid immediately came out of her master's house. All the maids and workers in the mansion have been laid off. The house owner said he couldn't afford to hire them anymore.

Aaron Liu opened the envelope and found some money and a goodbye note from his mother. After reading it, he immediately took his suitcase and left the big house he had been living in.

Aaron Liu called a taxi to take him to Miranda Choi's house, far from where he lived.

After nearly an hour's drive, Aaron Liu finally arrived in front of the luxurious house he had bought for his lover. Confident and excited, he walked into the tall, slightly open gate. Stepping towards the main door, it felt like he couldn't wait to meet and hug his fiancé.

Not yet at the door, Miranda Choi has come out with a beautiful face and an elegant appearance, as usual. The woman gave her fiancé a strange look.

"What did you come to this house for?" asked the woman sarcastically with an unhappy face. It was as if Miranda Choi didn't want Aaron Liu's presence in the house.
