40 Mia's Mansion

I finished taking a shower so I dried myself from head to toe. Moisturizing wasn't necessary since my skin is always soft but it just made me feel better. As soon as I applied the last bit of moisturizer, I was about to exit the bathroom door but remembered that Auntie was still there.

I slowly opened the door and peeked through. Auntie is still sitting at my kitchen island. Thankfully she was kidding and didn't eat my food but that was the least of my worries now. I needed to get to my room and I had the option of telling her to get me some clothes but that would mean she goes into my room, or just walking past… which didn't seem right.

I mean we're not even related by blood and she is well… *sigh* fuck it.

Wrapping my towel around me I then walk out of the bathroom. Auntie stayed on her phone during the entire time I left the bathroom and walked upstairs.

"Make sure you change quickly! Your food is getting cold!" I hear Auntie shout from downstairs.

Quickly entering my walk-in closet, I picked the first set of clothing I saw. It was techwear which wasn't as comfortable as my regular sweatshirt and sweatpants, but it will do for now. Plus who knows when it might rain again, it's currently spring.

Once I finished changing, I immediately grabbed my pen phone from my desk and ran downstairs. Auntie and I talked about various things such as the field trip and my experiences in the dungeons as I ate my food.

She would occasionally eat some of my side dishes but I didn't mind since there was plenty of food.

"When are you leaving?" Auntie asks.

"Let me check the time… 2:48, so… about 40 minutes. But I want to go out and explore New York a bit so maybe 10 more minutes," I say.

"Alright, I'll be leaving. Have a fun time with your play date,"

"I-It's not a playdate,"

"Yeah, yeah. Anyway just remember my conditions for entering dungeons. Plus if there is anything you want such as money, gear, weapons, items, potions, just ask me. Use the number I gave you earlier," Auntie says, walking out of my apartment.

Guess I can leave a bit earlier since I have nothing else to do…

"Her house should be around here- what the fuck. This is way too extra," I mutter, my jaw dropping to the floor.

In front of me was a massive 8 story mansion. It was made from the finest and smoothest of quartz, lined with gold and diamonds. You could take a chunk from their wall and you would be set for life with the amount of money you could sell it for.

The courtyard was massive and the gate was 10x grander than the gate at our school. Of course, the gate and walls were made from solid gold… cause why not.

I'm currently in a sort of mansion city. Even this mansion isn't one of the biggest here.

"Oh Lucy, is that you?" I hear a voice come from beside me.

I turn my head to the right and see Ethel walking towards me. Beside her are both Electra and Nuala who seemed to be arguing about something.

"Sup. I was just admiring the view of something I'll never be able to obtain," I said blatantly.

"Hahaha, well this is Mia's house so it's a bit smaller than usual," Ethel responds.

"Y'all are too rich," I say before pressing a metal button beside the gate.

"Mia… Are you there? Lucy, Ethel, Electra, and Nuala are here," Ethel says into a dotted black box.

"I assume you girls are one of the guests that will be arriving today. Please come in and I hope you don't mind us putting you down just in case you have something dangerous on you," A woman's voice says, coming from the black box.

I push open the golden gates and 2 lines of maids and butlers appear, welcoming us in. Before we could step any farther though, we were stopped by a massive muscular guy. It was a man about 6'4, dark skin, massive build, short and stubby hair.

This guy looks like the perfect bodyguard. I can only assume what his power stone is… at least a B-rank though.

I lift my arms out and let the guy pat me down. I had nothing on me besides my pen phone so all I had to do was show that and he let me pass. The maids and butlers warmly welcomed me. It was a bit uncomfortable but it didn't take long for me to arrive in the massive mansion.

A maid led me to the massive living room with the rest of Tolf sitting or laying on the couches, playing video games, or watching TV.

"Ah, Lucy! Come here, come here! I want to show you something!" Mia shouts.

I walk over and see Mia pointing to 6 pictures framed on the wall. It was her standing next to each one of the Primordial Braves. They seem to be on good terms since they all seem happy in the photos.

"Cool… So are we going to see the island or what,"

"Is that all you have to say?" Mia asks, surprised by my reaction.

"Well they're faces are pretty similar to what we've learned in class. Plus it makes sense for such an arrogant, filthy rich, young mistress to be able to meet with the braves,"

"Wow, coming for my neck… I'm not that arrogant. The rich part might be true though," Mia chuckles to herself.

Uh… makes me sick to my stomach.

Soon the Brollet girls enter the living room so we make our way to Mia's room. Just what you'd expect from a young mistress's bedroom… it was shiny and full of expensive things. Her bed might be half the size of my own bedroom.

"I bought teleportation bracelets and had a professional blacksmith turn them into necklaces since I think they look nicer," Mia says, opening a drawer with 12 silver necklaces.

I'm not even surprised anymore. Teleportation bracelets are extremely expensive, it might even cost as much as this mansion to buy just one and she bought 12 of them. Then she went as far as turning them into necklaces.

"I'm pretty much broke after doing this so don't ever lose them,"

Ah, that makes much more sense.

She hands out the necklaces which we immediately put on. Just thinking of the keyword will teleport you to the set location, so we waited for Mia to inform us.

"W-what are you all staring at me for?" Mia stutters.

"Uhhhh, I don't know. Maybe the activation word,"

"What else would it be,"

"Seriously, you're going to give us a teleportation bracelet er- necklace and not give us the keyword,"

"Oh yeah. My bad, the keyword is Tolf. Pretty easy to remember," Mia says.

I'm pretty excited about this island. It could be a playground where I can test most of my skills, just gotta make sure nobody is around me though.
