0018 - End of the First Month of Six

Twenty days quickly passed by, and I now had 7 Undead Ly'hmie Birds to keep constant watch and surveillance of the surrounding jungle. They also acted as my small game hunters, bringing me a variety of small critters I could eat while I focused on my day-to-day.

I did manage to find some Iron Ore, but not enough to make any of the tools I wanted or needed.

I constructed a simple forge that would allow me to smelt the raw iron and created several casts for whenever I managed to get enough raw iron.

I was prepared to forge my tools once I had enough Iron to do so.

In my spare time, I have also begun reading through the Book of the Art of Engraving by Elena Yurtz.

From what I have read, Engravings were magic runes imbued with Mana that would provide benefits and/or drawbacks associated with the rune or engraving.

From what I have read, items with engravings could provide stat points, attributes such as Health, Stamina, or Mana, and sometimes even a skill!

Although it mentioned these runes, it has none recorded in the Book, meaning I would have to experiment and engrave my own to see if they would work.

I was warned that should I fail at engraving a proper rune, the rune can and usually will explode.

But I am not that worried, especially with my absurd health regeneration.

I have also found that the Primitive Builder I and II Paths seemed only to affect my newer creations after I filled the two paths.

Which led me to rebuild my shack and building myself a new set of tools which took most of a day.

Other than that and my reading, I have begun farming some fish.

I built a small rectangular pond where I kept a couple of freshwater fish in case I couldn't find food or couldn't leave my shack.

I've also been training my skills, most importantly, Nature's Supplement.

While I only used it on myself once a day, I've also been using it on the surrounding plant life, which seemed to make the grass, and everything around my humble abode to be more vibrant than it already was, which says something with how vibrant this planet already was.

Something I have noticed about this planet was that Life, in general, was more lively and vibrant than anything I had seen on Earth. However, I guess it's partially because humans have been destroying the ecosystem for more than a century since I was born.

Although I doubt even long before humans started slowly destroying the earth, there was anything like this.

There may be something that could have reached a tenth of the beauty of this place on earth, but more than likely, it was destroyed directly or indirectly by humanity.

So could you blame me for appreciating Nature and paying back what I have taken?

After all, it is the circle of life, and I will happily repay Nature for providing for me in this life and my previous life.

And lastly, in these past 20 days, I have been meticulously training my Mana Manipulation, raising the skill's level to 33, making it one of my highest leveled skills.

I could now move and manipulate the mana inside my body to outside my body.

But, I haven't been able to get my Mana farther than a foot from my body.

I also had zero ideas on how to form a spell.

But that won't stop me from continuing practicing and training Mana Manipulation.

Eventually, I should be able to cast and create my own spells without the System's help.

I have also been going through the Shop extensively, and I found a few interesting things in the shop.

Description: This upgrade of the Storage Dimension Spell would allow for the storing of life. Note that this upgrade allows for the host to enter the dimension himself, but the dimension will not have the necessary tools for the survival of life.

Description: This Perk will give the user a talent for all things magical, making Magic much easier to learn, manipulate, and change.

There were countless Talents in the store, and I honestly couldn't believe that I didn't already have a talent.

Then I remembered a line spoken in one of the movies I watched long ago.

"You are only a Genius on Earth, Pal."

It only made me wonder more, what could possibly lie out in this vast universe?

The possible natural and unnatural phenomena scattered across the universe excited me about the possibilities in the future.

But, I quickly snapped myself out of it. I must be pragmatic for the time being, at least until I pass this trial.

I had five more months remaining in this trial, which gave me more than enough time to practice, and train for the future.
