Demon Slayers

At this time, the Sky Dragon guild master knelt on the lobby area of the mansion with his right hand touching the floor.

"It's been a thousand years since Luric was last seen on the continent, yet his magic still lingered on this mansion" the old man said with a low voice as his eyes gleamed with amazement.

He then stood and looked at the paintings on the wall.

'To think that they actually decided to sell this mansion, along with the artifacts left behind by Luric. I wonder what compelled them to do so' the old man thought to himself as he held his beard.

Suddenly, he felt the ground tremble. His eyes lit up as his wariness increased. He recalled the incident with the mirror that swallowed Rick and the thief's figures.

'Could it be?' the old man inwardly exclaimed but he shook his head shortly afterwards.

The trembling stopped as the place regained its calm. There were no signs of cracks on the walls, as if nothing happened just now.

'No.. This is different.' the old man thought to himself as his brows knitted.

"Oh, Luric. Didn't expect me to find this place, didn't you?"

Suddenly, he heard a voice of a man from behind.

He turned his head and saw a figure of a long haired man in a rugged brown robe.

"Who?!" the old man exclaimed as he scrutinized the figure of the man.

'He's behind me and I didn't feel his presence. It's as if he's just an ordinary man but there's no way that he really is an ordinary man. Who is he?' the old man inwardly said as he racked his brains trying to recall who this man was.

But no matter how he thought about it, nothing came to mind. He raised his hand forward, ready to cast a spell the moment he tried anything funny.

The man turned his head to look at the old man and flashed an amused smile.

"Calm down, old man. I mean no harm" the man said as he waved his right hand.

"How did you sneak up behind me?" the old man said as he cast a suspicious gaze on the man.

"You definitely haven't heard of me. I'm just a nobody" the man said with a shrug as his long black hair flickered.

'Is he a reclusive expert who doesn't show his skills to the public?' the old man thought to himself.

"What are you doing here? How did you sneak up behind me? Also, you mentioned Luric's name as if you knew him personally. Tell me, who are you?" The old man said as his frown deepened.

"That's a lot of questions. I told you, I'm just a nobody. But you can call me Belphegor" the man said as his lips curled up to a faint smile.

'Belphegor? He must be some reclusive expert' the old man thought to himself.

"As for how I sneaked up on you, I didn't. I just walked in. That's all. Errr, what was your other question once again?" the man said as he held his chin in thought.

"What are you doing here?" the old man replied.

"Oh, yeah. What am I doing here, I wonder?" the man replied as his face expressed confusion.

"Are you messing with me?" the old man said with a threatening gaze.

"Hahaha, you're too stiff, old man. It's bad for your old bones. Just relax" the man said with a chuckle.

'He doesn't seem to emit any dangerous aura. I don't sense killing intent from him. Does he really mean no harm?' the old man thought to himself for a moment before he lightly shook his head.

'No, he's dangerous because I don't sense anything from him at all. He could be thinking of killing me in cold blood and he's just good at hiding it.' the old man thought to himself as he took one step backward.

"Your expression tells me you're overthinking it, old man." the man said with a sigh.

"Or maybe, you're right" the man added as he grimaced.

The old man sweated profusely when he heard his words. Although he didn't feel anything, his instincts honed through countless battles tells him that he's no match for his man right here.

"Hahaha, I'm just joking, just joking." the man said with a chuckle.

"That's not a funny joke" the old man replied as he heaved a sigh of relief.

"Anyway, I just created a new guild. Would you like to join, old man?" the man said as his eyes gleamed with delight.

"As the Fifth Guild master of the Sky Dragons guild, I'm afraid I will have to refuse" the old man said as he shook his head politely.

"Ah, a guild.. huh... Well, on second thought, I just created a new organization. You can be the guild master of the Sky Dragons guild while being a member of my organization at the same time" the man replied.

"What's the name of this organization that you speak of?" the old man asked.

"It's the Demon Slayers organization" the man said as his lips curled up to a faint smile.

"Anyway, before you join my organization, let me tell you a story" the man said with excitement in his eyes.

'Who said that I'm joining your organization?!' the old man inwardly exclaimed but he didn't dare to voice it out.

The streets of Parlon City are mostly empty at this time, except for some drunkards and beggars on the alleys.

Lisa and Carla walked through the streets with two mini tornadoes following behind them. The two mini tornadoes seem to be carrying two figures.

Naturally, these two are the unconscious figures of Rick and Gelnar.

"Listen up, Carla. From now on, Lina will take care of you and Leon while I'm away. I don't know how long it would take for Rick's time to return to his body so I will resign as the Vice Headmaster of the Academy." Lisa said while walking.

Carla was taken aback by Lisa's words as she looked at her with dumbfounded eyes.

"Why? Can't you just temporarily ask someone to temporarily take over your position?" Carla asked as she turned her head.

"The ones I trust aren't really suitable for that position while the ones who are qualified for it don't have a good relationship with me. I might as well just retire" Lisa said as she let out a sigh.

'She's willing to go this far for us?' Carla thought to herself as her respect towards this person increased deep in her heart.

What she didn't know was that Lisa's sigh wasn't a sigh of reluctance and unwillingness but of relief.

'Hah! As if I'd waste this chance to escape' Lisa thought to herself as her lips curled up to a faint smile.
