Aldric insisted on keeping Adrianna and asked the girl not to tell Richard Anthony about this or things would get more complicated.

"Are you sure you want to stay here?" Adrianna asked worriedly.

Aldric nodded, "Go to sleep, you're safe tonight." Said Aldric trying to convince Adrianna.

"But your wound?" Adrianna still couldn't leave Aldric with his wound.

"I've had much worse than this, so don't worry." Aldric took Adrianna's hand and squeezed it gently. "Come in and sleep, I will sleep too," he said.

In the end, Adrianna agreed and went into her room, meanwhile, Aldric was lying on the sofa and supporting his head with one hand folded behind his head.
