Rescue Arc - Part 10

A formidable battle had just begun with Peter, Susan, and Sean facing the formidable Chimera. The monstrous creature's ten heads hissed and snarled, its twenty hands flexed with deadly claws, and its twenty legs carried it with incredible speed and power. But this time, the Chimera had split into three equal parts, each with its own set of abilities, making the fight even more challenging for our brave trio.

Sean, determined to make a difference this time and not be a pushover, focused on his power-copier abilities. He concentrated, channeling his energy, and tapped into the power of the first split part of the Chimera that had just instantly appeared in front of him, Susan, and Peter. Instantly, Sean's form glowed with a fiery aura as he gained the ability to boost his speed for a split second. He moved with incredible agility, dodging the attacks of the Chimera that had blocked his path and tried to find an opening to strike.

Meanwhile, Susan sprang into action, creating copies of herself that scattered across the battlefield. The clones moved with ninja-like precision, their movements blending with the environment, making it difficult for the Chimera to track the real Susan. They launched simultaneous attacks from different angles, aiming for the creature's legs and hands to hinder its movement.

Peter teleported strategically, using his power to appear and disappear unpredictably. He took advantage of the confusion caused by Susan's clones to strike the Chimera's heads, aiming for their eyes and vulnerable spots. But the creature was quick to react, and Peter found himself narrowly evading its retaliatory strikes.

As the battle intensified, the second split part of the Chimera displayed its ability to merge with the environment, akin to a chameleon. It disappeared from sight, blending seamlessly with its surroundings. Peter, Susan, and Sean were left disoriented, unable to locate their foe. The Chimera took advantage of their confusion, landing a heavy blow on Sean, who was momentarily caught off guard.

Despite their best efforts, the three teammates found themselves on the defensive. The third split part of the Chimera activated its ability to split into different segments, multiplying itself. Each fragment possessed a portion of the monster's strength and power, but the more it split, the weaker the individual parts became.

Now facing four Chimera opponents, Peter, Susan, and Sean struggled to keep up. Sean tried to copy the abilities of one of the split parts, hoping to even the odds, but found that the divided power made it difficult to fully harness the strength of the creature.

Susan, knowing they needed a game-changer, came up with a risky plan. She gathered her clones, channeling all their collective energy into a massive attack. With a coordinated strike, they managed to briefly incapacitate one of the split parts, leaving it vulnerable for a few precious moments.

Peter saw the opportunity and teleported next to Susan's attack, unleashing a barrage of devastating blows on the immobilized Chimera segment. The creature roared in pain, but its resilience was astounding. Even with the temporary advantage, they could not deal a fatal blow.

As the battle continued, the main body of the Chimera still held seven undiscovered powers, based on Susan's theory after having seen the monster split up into three parts, each with its own abilities. While in a defensive stance, they watched the main Chimera body, waiting for the right time to unleash a devastating attack that would render the three of them incapable of moving. With the odds stacked against them, Peter, Susan, and Sean were starting to feel the weight of the fight, their exhaustion setting in.

But they refused to give up, knowing that any momentary pause in their fighting would result in their deaths. Sean summoned all his strength and managed to copy the ability of the second split part once again. He merged with the environment, becoming invisible to the Chimera's eyes. With stealth and precision, Sean located the third split part and struck it at its core.

The creature howled in pain, and as it started to split into more segments to escape, Sean used his copied ability to boost his speed and deliver swift, precise strikes to each of them. The divided parts weakened, and with a final, powerful blow, Sean managed to defeat the third split part of the Chimera.

However, their moment of triumph was short-lived. The main body of the Chimera, sensing its imminent defeat, unleashed its hidden powers. It spat fire from one of its heads, summoned gusts of wind with another, and unleashed lightning from its hands. The onslaught was overwhelming, and the three teammates found themselves in a dire situation.

Susan created more clones, trying to distract the Chimera and absorb some of the attacks. Peter teleported frantically, attempting to find an opening to strike. Sean, desperate to turn the tide, copied the abilities of the first split part once more, boosting his speed to the limit.

In a last-ditch effort, Sean managed to dodge the incoming attacks with incredible agility, creating an opportunity for Peter to teleport behind the Chimera's heads. With a burst of determination, Peter aimed for the middle of the third and fourth head, where he believed the vital point lay.

As Peter prepared to strike, the monster used one of its heads to summon a gust of wind in his direction, sending him flying and hitting the wall at a massive speed, causing him to faint. Susan and Sean, seeing what had just happened, felt their spirits falter, but as they saw the monster slowly approaching Peter, they instantly recovered and rushed to his side. Sean copied the wind abilities the monster had just used and created a tornado which surrounded the monster, keeping it at bay while it struggled to free itself.

Susan and Sean rushed towards Peter, trying to wake him up. Susan slapped Peter's cheek while saying, "Wake up, Peter! We need you! Don't let us down!" Meanwhile, Sean controlled the intensity of the winds in the tornado he had created, keeping the monster occupied.

Suddenly, the Chimera unleashed a large explosion that released a massive gust of wind, sending Peter, Susan, and Sean flying, and crashing into the wall, leaving cracks. Susan was unable to move, stunned by the lightning they had received, while Sean had passed out because of the momentum of the attacks ,so it was only Susan that was still conscious.

The Chimera slowly approached them, intending to crush them under its foot. Just as it was about to strike, missiles were launched at the monster, sending it flying. Susan looked in the direction of the missile attack and saw Agent Rex standing there, breathing heavily.

"Thank God I made it in time," said Agent Rex, smiling.
